Fubara, Another Victim Of Stupidity by Factcheck0001: 10:40pm On Mar 18 |
Just like they say that wisdom is highly profitable to direct and common sense should be applied in all endeavours in life. Even 48 laws of power buttressed it that you can't outshine the master and once a beast is the only means you can get to a place and you decide to ride it, you must always satisfy it so you don't end in its belly. We warned fubara on his path to destruction but just like the dog that will go astray, he refused to listen now he's been out for 6 months and it's not even sure he will come back. So now the question is , why fight when you know for sure that you will lose just because you don't want to be seen as coward? Why not stoop to conquer? He would have just played a fool for wike till second term then he shows wike hell but no nzogbu nzogbu won't let him see road. I was even surprised he went to demolish house of assembly building. Now he has lost it all, before he's reinstated he will be thoroughly humbled that he will have to sign very stringent conditions and second term is not even sure for him 4 Likes 1 Share |

Now I know the reason y some people call yorubas cowards, I can bet that a Yoruba person will never fight when he knows he has many things to lose He will rather play d Mumu game with all of them n when he gets power in second terms he explode Stooping to conquer isn't cowardice, at least we have seen where bravery led some people now 4 Likes 1 Share |

Don’t mind this mugu blaming Fubara ! State of emergency or impeachment, that is what tinubu and wikes plan all along! This is far better than impeachment by the way! Lesser evil! The only option is if Fubara refuses to be docile or if he can strategically deal a big blow to tinubu and Apc before there take charge of rivers staters ! Ijaw peoples destiny is in line! 1 Like 2 Shares |

![]() ![]() ![]() I still blame Fubara for all this mess in his state. Look at Umo Eno of AKS who came into power with all the old commissioners from his godfather Udom Emmanuel. But today he has stooped to conquer and the state is peaceful. Fubara showed his hands to early in the game without first winning over at least significant number of all elected and appointed political office holders to his camp. Oga Fubara you fall my hands by attempting to jump over Wike's head without tying his hands securely first. 9 Likes 4 Shares |

For your information He's tenure is enshrined in the constitution He's going to complete it in the end But one thing is sure... tinubu will not come out of this fight as a whole 2 Likes 1 Share |

Anijay1212:How come of all the 25 govs that handed over power in 2023 only Wike is involved in a free for all fight with his successor Even the likes of Udom Emmanuel and El-Rufai have let their successors be despite political disagreement to focus on getting them out in 2027 Why only Wike wants to impeach his successor? 2 Likes 1 Share |

How this rubbish is because of Wike and his political interest come 2027. This administration has ended up destroying everything in this country. Democracy is being destroyed and some people are clapping. Even the peace we enjoy in South South is no longer there. |

President Tinubu declaring a state of emergency in Rivers State is illegal and a misuse of power for political gain. The Nigerian Constitution (Section 305) only allows it in cases of war, insurrection, or severe security threats—not political crises. Additionally, such a declaration requires approval from the National Assembly. If this trend continues, it sets a dangerous precedent, threatening Nigeria’s democracy and enabling future leaders to abuse emergency powers for personal or political interests. |

Betanaija42moro:Read that provision very well, especially item 3&4. Also NA should approve within 2 days of declaration and have been notified already. That's the law. Nothing illegal right now 2 Likes 1 Share |

Agbegbaorogboye:Some of you talk without facts. These people you mentioned are not politically savvy like Wike. They didn't foresee that their successors may deviate from their agreement. In Wike's case he factored everything into consideration. For this reason he ensured he had the HoA. In short every elected member he made sure they are his loyalists. Fubara was like an island surrounded by water of Wike's men. There is no way he won't drown should he try to rebel. He is not a politician. He was from the civil service. Can you imagine that the whole PDP party executives in Rivers State are with Wike? Almost all the members of HoA, Including Senate and HoR, Local government chairmen and councillors are all with Wike. There must be something Fubara didn't do well. It is unusual for this to happen. 5 Likes |

Whalis:You guys and this foolish talk of he's not a politician, he's from the civil service. Was anyone born a politician? Was Wike a politician from birth? Having a career before joining politics does not make you less than those who do not. What you're just describing is the totalitarian nature of Wike and the unprincipled behaviour of the average Nigerian politician that they can take food from the devil himself if it will bring them into power. There's nothing democratic in a man being Lord of the manor appointing people into elective positions. It is anti-democratic and a failure of our democratic systems in itself. When you claim it is unusual for almost all elected office holders to be pro-Wike and then pin it on Fubara doing something wrong, what then do you say of Lagos that even the agbero is pro-Tinubu since 1999. Did Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo-Olu all do something wrong that they can't get those people to their side? What about in the days of Adedibu in Oyo? Were Lam and Ladoja also civil servants? In Kwara nko? It's obvious you don't know how godfatherism works. If you want to know how exactly it works, take a good look at the Lagos scenario and learn from it why such govs are usually docile |

Agbegbaorogboye:Let's also ask ourselves how come of all the 25 governors that handed over power in 2023 it is only Fubara's commissioners etc that resigned enmass and the house of assembly attempting to impeach him. Even the LG chairmen and the entire PDP political structure were against him. Look you can't be a governor in isolation and i still insist Wike or no Wike gov Fubara could have handled things more differently knowing very well the kind of man his benefactor is. ![]() ![]() ![]() 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Anyone trying to spin this as a real win for Wike is just denying the obvious. When Wike started this fight, In his wildest dreams did he think this fight will last 2 years and would take Tinubu to personally declare a state of emergency to save him from losing to Fubara. A win for Wike would be to impeach Fubara and have the speaker loyal to him to take over. A boy boy governor he can boss around. Not for Tinubu to declare a state of emergency and put a retired millitary man in charge , that Wike will not be able to kick around as he likes. Infact, Wike is likely to get a worse deal in terms of control of Rivers compared to what Fubara offered him that he thought was not enough Even with all the technical support Tinubu gave Wike and all the Supreme Court kangaroo judgements , wike still couldn’t impeach Fubara. If Tinubu did not announce a state of emergency today , Fubara would finish his term and likely win a 2nd term. The truth is Fubara fought him to standstill, craze for craze. By now, Wike knows he has no monopoly of craze. Tinubu saved him from total disgrace of losing to Fubara Thats the truth! That said , The greatest advise I can give Fubara now is to go on exile. Wike might have been unable to win the impeachment fight, but with help of federal might, He will deal with u now that have no immunity It’s obvious Tinubu doesn’t like you that much either. If u don’t want to spend. Good vacation time In jail, run!!!! |
Re: Fubara, Another Victim Of Stupidity by Agbegbaorogboye: 7:14am On Mar 19 |
Anijay1212:A lot of you embrace selective amnesia when discussing rivers 1. This commissioners were not his. They were inherited from Wike and most still insisted on taking orders from Wike despite having a new gov. 2. Till today, the House cannot say why they wanted to impeach Fubara. Only Wike came out to give reason and the reason he gave was that Fubara wants to destroy his political structure 3. Most appointees and holders of offices had no regard and respect for Fubara. Where have you ever seen a LG chair come out boldly to call a governor a fool and idiot? If they can come out to insult him openly, can you imagine the kind of words they'll be using on him behind doors? Report says they used to call him mumu gov Now I ask how you'll personally feel and react if your subordinates who are supposed to take orders from you are calling you mumu and fool in public to your face. It's always easy to blame the oppressed |

What's playing out is clear assault on democracy,I don't know the intricacies of River state politics, but it should never end like this... The most important question is "what does Wike wants? |
