kai that Inter team wouldn't do shyte if we made that final. with Rooney in ogbono feli feli form? Bayern had a lucky progression, before the red card they were torn to shreds. after the red card & Rooney's limp, they were still on the ropes due to Nani's profligacy (i know he still had a MotM performance) & the cross bars help! Inter would not defend that deep & we wouldn't try to monopolize possession like Bayern. the game would have been more open. |

raumdeuter: You can see for yourself how English teams were disadvantaged because of internal Labour laws. So United could have 5 English, 5 other UK players, 1 non UK player as regular XI in the league, then on European nights United will be forced to source 3 more English players from reserve or Academy to play Europe. It could be worse if the regular bench is made up of players from Wales, Scotland, Ireland . |

elampiro: UEFA told all teams they would only be able to use 3. Some teams had more than 3 and had to drop them to play European matches So whose business is it if English teams acquired more players than UEFA allowed to play |

elampiro: Were English clubs aware that UEFA only allows 3 foreigners? Were English clubs aware that anyone not from England is a foreigner? If UEFA has a law that a keeper cannot hold backpass but in Estonian league they still allow backpass Should they complain when they get to play UEFA matches and they arent allowed to use backpasses |

raumdeuter: The law that three foreign players had to play, did it start in 1994/1995 season as you try to make us believe? I want to believe the law was already effective, but it always favored other leagues which had a similar law with Eufa. But English league couldn't make a similar laws because of the common ground in UK as a whole. So it was hard bringing quality players from outside UK due to the British laws which favored their people but hostile to foreigners particularly non Europeans. What am I saying. Teams from other leagues didn't have to reshuffle their team when they play in Europe. But English team will have so much changes to make because many first team players wouldn't be eligible due to difference in laws. |

elampiro: Where did I make you believe anything started in 1995? can you show me? The law has always been from the early 90s which was why Milan had only 3 foreigners in the 1991 team yet English teams are complaining they did not let them use more than 3 when no one was using more than 3 |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 10:04pm On Dec 01, 2015 |
raumdeuter: I read that the laws were not there in the 70s. The UK already had a system before Eufa brought their laws. The government of the entire UK economy was more important than football. It's just like having a free trade and free movement in West Africa. It's like saying you as a club cannot discriminate against players from Wales, Ireland and Scotland. And that's Queen's law. So your hands are tied. |

raumdeuter: You said they announced it when 1995 season was about to start. Anyway, English team were simply saying, their govt law didn't restrict players/workers from anywhere in UK because of common Labour law (perhaps). Their FA probably were unable to implement the Eufa restriction because of a government law. So the clubs were torn in the fight between their govt and Eufa. |

Pep winning it with Barca doesn't make it special because Enrique has done the same thing from no where. Are you even following my responses at all? You are making me repeat myself. David de Gea has revealed that capturing the Premier League title in the 12/13 season is still the greatest moment of his Manchester United career. In what turned out to be Sir Alex' last season as Manchester United boss, United won the league in dominant fashion and De Gea received a winners’ medal for his efforts in guarding their goal. When asked to identify the greatest moment of his Manchester United career, De Gea told the club’s official website: “When we won the league – that was a really special moment. The greatest thing about Man Utd is the clubs history, the greats that have represented this team and the fans are incredible too." De Gea also identified a save he made in the 2011/12 season as his best to date. He pulled off a stunning save against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in a 3-3 draw. “The one from Juan Mata against Chelsea – the save from the free-kick in February 2012.” |

tess1: He was a local champion. 4 finals, 7 semis and won the ucl just twice. He was a great local champion. He won domestic titles no doubt but what stopped hik from repeating same feat in europe. Some people have also agreed tothe b fact that it was really poor for a manager that was in control of a team for 26 years to win just two ucl but here you are arguing pointlessly. Fergie was a local champion. |

raumdeuter: Those Eufa laws would be hard to implement in UK because of the nature of the territory which had been before football came into the world. One fact is that only English teams had to shuffle their first team when they went to play in Europe. And it was a big problem bringing none UK citizens to further compound the problem. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 8:13am On Dec 02, 2015 |
ollah1: 25 years. Remove 5 years ban. Remaining 20 years. Remove those years English teams had to reshuffle their team when they went to Europe. We are looking at minimum of 7 years here because even after the restriction was lifted in 1995, the clubs couldn't have changed their teams in just a year. Remaining 13 years for SAF to really compete in Europe. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by elampiro(m): 8:23am On Dec 02, 2015 |
Raumdeuter, you are talking like you don't know how powerful the law is. (1) Law ensured there was no discrimination against workers or restriction in number of workers of UK citizens within the territory. (2) European court of Justice through the Bosman ruling ensured discrimination against workers of members States, restrictions in the the number of hires of citizens of members States were prohibited/removed. In this case football clubs were mandated to allow players the choice to walk away once their transfer was over. Secondly, players of European citizens could move from one club to another in numbers without any restrictions in number of players that can be employed by a club. So the almighty Eufa bowed to court ruling, and you think English clubs/FA should have disobeyed the laws of their land? |
