patrickmuf: Most of them still camped and countered against us though.. No doubt we shoulda break them down and done better but we lacked the pacey quality individuals both upfront and in the middle to do that. We were a lot better with Rash and Linggard for example. Which all boils down to the blunders Van gaal had in the transfer market.. For example, Depay whose acceleration and agility were/are non-existent or the crock, Schweini who looked sluggish and unfit.. And there were Rojo and Darmain who looked garbage on the flanks. 1 Like |

Diademk07:I'm happy you acknowledge the fact that LVG got it wrong most times he went buying, however, I'd appreciate if you at least give it up for Mou for the quality show his signings have put up so far instead of jumping on the lame excuse of individual brilliance. Now to expose your folly, on the one hand you say Mou shouldn't be praised cos it's all down to individual brilliance rather than his tactical acumen as a coach but on the other hand you blame the poor display from Depay, Herrera, Schweini, Schneiderlin, Rojo for Van Gaals failure, so what if they all played to their capacity, would you entertain other folks here attributing any success we attain to their respective quality and not that of the team led by LVG? |

patrickmuf: The team played as a functional unit though but lacked the quality. That's the key point.. If we had set out relying on individual brilliance, we would've been battling relegation like those small teams as soon as those individual moments weren't forth coming.. Exactly what happened at Chelsea last season when attacking teams such as Everton, Southampton etc were toying with them.. |

Diademk07:The quality in these and any case is the individual brilliance you're using to discredit Mou. Small small, you go rope yourself in... |

SailorXY:Help me tell it o! Who style of play epp? We need the three points for so many reasons that however we manage to get it is none of my business. |

patrickmuf: Take the Dortmund friendly match for example, where all the average players were assembled.. We were not only camped in our half but were well spanked in that game! Same happened vs Galatasaray in the 1st half. That could have happened a lot in the league if Van gaal had dared to take one foot off his possession tactic like he did vs Pool in the Europa 1st leg match. |

Diademk07 what do you think of our chances tomorrow? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 10:56pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
Diademk07:So why are you against Mou for massively improving the quality of our team in just one window compared to LVG who had multiple chances to get things right? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by SailorXY: 10:57pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
elampiro:how would you select from this group? I know the line up will be unchanged from last game tho. I'd go with a 4-3-3 (I'll like Mourinho to ultimately settle on this formation) personnel will be based on form of course - - - - - - - - - David - - - - - - - - - Tony - - Bailly - - - - Daley - - Luke - - - - - - - Schneiderlin - - - - - - - - - - - Henrikh - - - - - Pogba - - - - Lingard - - Ibrahimovic - - Martial |

patrickmuf:currently not good enough |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Diademk07: 11:09pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
patrickmuf: Don't know.. I don't know how Mourinho will set out.. Since Ibra is the designated striker, then he should play to his strength, that is, providing early crosses to him in the box, just like when he was at Psg (courtesy of Moura & Di maria). That's why I wanted a winger who's capable of doing that on the right. I doubt Valencia would get the chance to do that tomorrow when he would be camped in his half or would want to be cautious.. There's Lingard though.. But he at his best drifting in, although he can put in good crosses. No one knows if he's capable of putting in his best since he just returned from injury. Anyway, na siddon look sure pass.. |

SailorXY: Its not realistic. While I agree that Rooney isnt good enough consistently, the fact that he can still produce moments in matches means he will still be in the team. so although I like your formation there, The shape of the team will have to be changed to accommodate him for now. |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Diademk07: 11:15pm On Sep 09, 2016 |
patrickmuf: I just don't like him and the fact that he hardly integrate youth players. I had high hope for the likes of TFM and Poole whom were signed by Van gaal.. And there's CBJ/Varela who should have still be in the squad. Lastly is his attitude problem.. |

SailorXY:That team looks sweet although it's not going to happen. Baba Rooney must enter. But with that team Mkhitaryan can start counters from the centre while we have pace upfront in Martial and Lingard. |

patrickmuf:Who is Rooney? |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 7:56am On Sep 10, 2016 |
The derby has the potential to be the biggest and most anticipated match in world football in the next couple of years thanks to the Mou and Pep factor. I'm curious to see how Mou will set up the team today cos we already know Pep will overload the midfield in a bid to gain total control of the game. I expect City to start with Sterling as a False 9 thus we need to be swift in our counters if we must stand a chance... |
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 7:59am On Sep 10, 2016 |
IYANGBALI:Unfortunately, he will start as long as he is fit, it's something we have to get used to for now. Just wish Mou will go ahead and surprise us all with a teams that doesn't feature Rooney from the start. |
