I am now a fan of Messi. I commiserate with him and the entire Argentine team. Gallantly they fought. A winner has to emerge.

I watch the match with someone who was waiting to immediately crown Messi best ever. He and some of his friends argued Messi was the best ever before the world cup. On the ground (physical), on facebook, nairaland, sports journalists, we are spared the agony of pronouncing Messi the king of soccer. At least not yet.

However, I wished it wasn't Germany. Why not Chile or Uruguay? Or even Belgium? Lol

On the match, it could easily have gone either way. I thought Argentina have the best chances and Higuan squader most of them. The coach shouldn't have substituted so quickly, they were okay the way they started. The substitutes didn't live up.

Concluding again with Messi. Whichever way we want to look at it, Messi has proven a point.
