What do you expect?

Crude oil at about $70 per barrel, naira to dollar at over N400

isnt it supposed to be better if the barrel prices are up?

God punish Satan, don't mind Americans, they should allow us build our economy the way we want it, they have never been helpful in anyway to Africans if they don't have anything to gain.

Americans must have seen that Dangote refinery is about to change the whole ball game in Africa's oil and gas industry, now they have started doing what they know how to do best.

Please you guys should desist from sharing posts like this.

Let us support and pray for the success of Dangote refinery, even if heaven falls, we will not surrender or listen to any foreign advice.

Some of the advice they gave our visionless leaders in the past ruined us and we still suffering till date.

Dangote refinery will buy crude oil from NNPC at international prices, but pay in Naira at extremely ridiculous CBN rates

E.g, if oil is $60/barrel, Dangote Refinery will pay N24,600/barrel (N410-$1) instead of N29,100 (N485-$1).

He then sells that same refined crude he bought in Naira to the international market in dollars!

There are greedy people everywhere. Just that i some places there are systems to curb the greed better than in other places. Are Nigetiams more greedy than the Chinese, Indians and Lebanese operating here?

Not really Sir. If you buy Tbills of 364 days at 6.5% at the end of the year the investor in VGIF will have more returns.
Apart from the 4.5% Guaranteed rate, you will have additional returns which can take your total returns around 8% conservatively

Not only that, if sdf changes upward which is very likely judging from the economic realities your rate in VGIF changes upwards as well; This is not possible with Tbills.

Again in VGIF you can terminate your investment after six months without penalty but if you do that with Tbills the investor will not have the whole of 6.5%.

For me if tbills of 364 days is not up to 10% I will still prefer VGIF.

For VGIF, what are the charges like if one terminates only after 2-3 months please?

The penalty is that you lose 10% of the accrued interest on the sum you are withdrawing.

If you have a million for example and you want to redeem 500k after 3 months you lose 10% of the accrued interest on the 500k not on the 1m.

At anytime you terminate your capital can never be lower than what you brought in whether up to six months or less.

They have foresight, we don't.

Their country is working, ours is not and we've been building it the way we want.

If our country was working in the first place, there would be no need for such by usa. Also, prayers don't build economy, brain does.

Now your messier is building a refinary and he's already suggesting that only those with refinary license should be allowed to import fuel.
