Adegokenath:You will need to visit a branch of GTB for that because issue of dollar and conversion are highly regulated financial transactions. Commercial bank are always very careful and mindful of CBN. |

Gavrelino123: No interest rate, unless you invest that money in fixed deposit. You can ask if they offer fixed deposit investment in foreign currencies. Just do 30 days and continue to reinvest your capital with the interest every 30 days to avoid stories. You won't get same interest rates with longterm (6 months, 1 year) investors though. Buhari may still triumph at the polls and, in fact, he won't just relax especially as elections are approaching. Economy might improve. 2 Likes |

Gavrelino123:As I said earlier, if you have a GTB current account and you do internet banking you can open a dom account right at your desk. No other requirement. For me I don't think it was up to 15mins. you can even chat with them online and follow the instruction. just click on open additional account and then specify the type of account e.g dom or savings etc you are done. your account number will be sent to you. When you login again you will see the account dollar account as one of your accounts. 6 Likes |

Nigeria has crude oil and gas.. So it will not default The business model is very sound and well tested. The Richest man in Babylon If you know.. You know... |

ahiboilandgas:aha! Now you are talking like you know... Cbn will continue to defend the naira. We have earns in foreign currency, so we can sell dollar at any rate we choose. If Buhari wants to crash dollar to 150 naira today... It's a choice. (is that not what Ghana did some time back?) #iStandWithBuhari #BuhariTill2023 1 Like |

Now if for example 1 have $1000 fixed in a dorm account with GTbank for a month or two and lets say d interest rate was 1% or less.... if i was to redraw all the capital and the interest after the ending of the tenure, wat are the charges ontop? Will the charges remove the supposed interest dat was incurred before? 1 Like |

RealityShot:free market happen when private enterprise take control of goverment monopoly or compete with it...so intel and American university are good example of free enterprise post obj liberalization other include forte oil ,onando, uba,Nicon ....govt if free up the space for private money to take over creating more jobs and paying tax instead of big monopoly owned by govt to stifle competition..imagine nitel vs mtn in nigeria who go win nitel of cause 1 Like |

ahiboilandgas: Buying Usd from aboki or from bank which is more expensive? Again converting Naira or Transfering Naira from ur saving/current to Dorm account too Above all which is cheaper |
Re: Treasury Bills In Nigeria by Acidosis(m): 6:02pm On Nov 16, 2018 |
jujutom: Fixed deposits attract only 10% Withholding Tax (WHT) on the interest earned, not your capital. Transfers and withdrawals on a dorm account might attract some charges though. |

ahiboilandgas:how can you hold a treasury bill for 10 years, is it not a yearly investment medium? If next year rates are poor, will one not invest elsewhere it'll rates go up? HATIFU will not bring a free market economy... Instead, he will still all competition As he tries to be the next Dangote. And mind you, if HATIFU wins, he must borrow for so many reasons, he must. We are here to lend him... Even if he does something stupid like raise minimum wage to 66000 It will not affect us lenders negatively, because he will borrow to fund his budget. As usual. This business model is air tight. 2 Likes |

I guess it's happening because many people have brandished their net work around here. God has actually blessed people and we pray for his blessings too.
