What I did was waking them up intermittently, at night, to pee. It's stressful because ones sleep is disturbed, but hey, what can one do.

my daughter started sch when she was 1yr 7mnths,immediately, I stopped using diaper for her in d nite, I put her potty beside the bed, makes sure she pee before going to sleep, and put her to pee again one or two tyms before morning, it wasn't easy cos sometyms I fall asleep and forget, but with tym, she got used to it,she is almost 3 now, and she dosent wee on d bed. Now when she is pressed she wakes me or she starts crying in her sleep then I will understand.

Its really a big challenge, just bought a carton of pampers. Even when I take my boy to d bathroom to pee, he doesn't even respond not to talk of waking @ nite, can't even try it cos once his sleep is disturbed, he can't go back again.

Birth story

I thought this baby will come before or at least on Edd as my last baby

However, at 40 + 4 days I was still looking so an induction was scheduled

Lost my mucus plug on the day of the induction and it gave me a little confidence cuz I was a bit scared of not responding to the induction.

Got to the hospital and waited hours at the reception cuz they had a few emergencies and prioritized them of course

Finally got a bed at 10pmish, they set up the Iv and started giving me water for hydration, however, no pitocin was administered I assume the dr didnot want to come take the delivery in the middle of the night

around 4am, the nurse came and checked me and was surprised to see i was already 3cm, even without anything. so she administered the pitocin and left

strong contractions started coming and at about 6am, i requested for epidural,the anesthesiologist was busy as they had other emergencies

i panicked a little cuz my birth plan was to chill, pray, gist, laugh, sleep, ping, just like the last time

Also guess the pitocin made the pains a bit more intense

took 3 hours to finally get the epidural i was already at 7cm. infact i considered not getting it even though i was in a lot of pain, but when i remembered the pressure i felt during crowning the last time with epidural, plus A friend telling me she felt them stitching her, despite the numbing injection, i decided to go for it

hmm, not even sure the thing worked, cuz i still felt pain (although not as bad) when they were checking me i knew, when the contractions came, i knew. Unlike the other time when I was completely zoned out

at a point, i felt like pooing, no nurse to check if i was fully dilated (because of the emergencies they had and also heard they were understaffed after loosing some nurses the week before) My husband had to go to the nurse station like 3 times before he found my nurse this is after paging her severally

when we finally got a nurse, she checked and went to page my dr

By the time the dr came, I was already feeling the baby descending with a lot of pressure on my pelvic, felt like it was about to break

The pushing was HARD. i was completely exhausted and weak,I hadn't eaten in over 24 hrs, plus the exhaustion of dealing with contractions

The nurse in charge was very nice and encouraging the dr the opposite, guess they were playing good cop/ bad cop.

after a while, she told hubby to look that the baby was already coming and he looked and said my love, i can see plenty hair, pls push so i gathered the last of my energy and pushed and the baby jumped out weighing 4.1kg.

Big babies are tough to push!!!

Wasn't the greatest experience but all thanks to God almighty who has made me a mother of two healthy children.

P.s motherhood this time is so diff, my baby sleeps well, eats well and doesn't cry unlike my first baby who liked to be carried, hardly slept and cried till she drove me to the brink of insanity #colic #reflux

So so sorry for your loss dear. I understand how you feel. Lost mine 19 years ago and I was the closest of her kids to her. No day passes by that I don't wish she could be here to see how far I have come and what I have achieved, to be my best buddie.

You can't whisk away the pain and memories off your mind just like that. It's not that easy. Remember the good times you shared with her and see them as a privilege from God to have known someone as wonderful as her. Only time and God can heal your pain. Cry all you want if it'll make you feel better but don't wallow in grief for too long. She'll want you to move on knowing she'll be watching over you and yours,wont she?

God knows best. May he strengthen and comfort you and your family in this trying time and may her gentle soul rest in perfect peace.
