on a serious level, South Africa is in no place to talk, i'm even surprised Nigeria is allowing South Africans in the country since we are also struggling with a growing aids rate. The last thing we need is rape happy foreigners plaguing us with their nonsense! Lassa Fever is the last thing South Africans should be bothered by. On the other hand we should accept that there was an epidemic of a preventable disease, and SA have every right to take appropriate action to shield it's citizens from the risk. They could have easily requested they all submit to compulsory testing, they handled the situation wrong. |

Wow, first time i am hearing Nigerians speak with sense of pride that is justifiable. The SA erred and rightfully apologizes, and i can see the angle that the Xenophobic complex came from. These people are simply scared of Nigerians, if they have their way, Nigerians shouldn't exist at all. They have found out that the best they can do is go toe to toe with us and from what they learn from Nigerian retaliation:The era of big brother is over. Kill one and i will kill Seven. Bravo 9ja. At least for this one we are proud of our own government. |

vanstanzy: IF YOU PLAN TO STEP OUT OF THE SHORES OF NIGERIA SOON ON A BRIEF HOLIDAY, TRY SOUTH AFRICA. IF YOU DO, SOME OF YOUR VIEWS ABOUT SOUTH AFRICA WILL SURELY CHANGE. SOUTH AFRICA IS BETTER MILITARILY AND ECONOMICALLY. THEY ARE AHEAD OF US IN THE AREA OF GOOD ROADS NETWORKS, PROVISION OF ELECTRICITY, DRINKING WATER, ETC. THEY HAVE THEIR OWN PROBLEMS LIKE THE MENACE OF AIDS WHICH EVERYONE IS SINGING LIKE A SONG IN THIS FORUM, BUT LACK OF BASIC AMENITIES WHICH WE ARE EXPERIENCING IN NIGERIA ARE TAKING FOR GRANTED IN AT LEAST THE AREAS I VISITED IN SOUTH AFRICA. |

by omonaijanimio "Interesting thread. I am Nigerian. Live in Nigeria. Love it! Visited 11 countries in almost all continents. Worked in 3 countries (including SA) deploying technology on behalf of my global energy company (180 countries bro). Citizens of the world commit crime and also do good things wherever they find themselves. Most South Africans dont know this cos they're very simple and local. Please travel some. Why do South African women marry Nigerian men? Ask them why, hope your ego survives the answer. There are 400 SA companies here in naija. We also have several small and medium scale Nigerian companies in SA. We support the SA medical system with skilled and experienced doctors. Is SA a beautiful country? Yes. Would I live there? NO. Nigeria is also very beautiful and has limitless opportunities with the biggest market in Africa. Can Nigeria survive MTN and co leaving? They only got here yesterday. Will nationalize them in a minute. We did well without them and would continue to do so. We also have home grown Telcos (Glo, etc.) giving MTN a run for their money and also operating in other West African countries. Do we care if all Naijas in SA are deported? We are 160 million people. 4 in 10 black men is Nigerian. Who cares about illegal immigrants? Will Nigerians retaliate if even the illegals in SA are mistreated rather than being repatriated properly, if needed? Ask your government. They know. Can Nigeria go toe to toe with SA diplomatically? Ask Britain. We recently halted BA flights for messing with Arik airlines, and we kicked out the British and Nationalized BP in the 70s because of your sorry Black asses being enslaved by the Europeans. We need no favors from SA. We are no beggars - ask your women. We will survive and thrive anywhere - ask your women again. We are very loyal and proud, and SA is too inexperienced globally to mess with us. Our President is a PhD, while yours takes a bath and eats beetroot to prevent AIDS. BTW, after reading this comment, scoot to the front page of The Sowetan and see the abuses, murder, corruption, paedophilic and gerontophilic abuses being reported, were those also committed by Nigerians? Always looking for someone to blame are you? We are not Zimbabweans or any other panhandling SADAC folk. We will hit back where we can. A Nigerian did not become the richest African through BBE or apartheid era stolen lucre. Watch and learn fuckas".

well articulated response from an experienced traveller. I feel you bro,, presently,I'm having a rethink visiting South Africa as planned for this year. |

Quote from: AjCityOne on Today at 01:14:07 PM I don't blame anyone of you South African slowpoke. What the Nigerian government should do from now on is to test all South African passenger coming to Nigeria for HIV and AIDS and then detain them until the result comes out. And if you tested positive, you are going to be prosecuted and sent to prison on Nigeria soil for malicious intent to infect Nigerian population with deadly disease. Yellow fever Vs HIV and Aids, Wondered which is more deadly and humiliating. Bro where you learn this type of judgement from? Dictatorially you don pass abacha sef. Any how I like your method of judgement. |

Niseamaka:. Nna, have you checked your HIV status. Visit SA, God forbid. With such high HIV rate, you can even catch it by radiation/conduction . I don't want to be fed to lions by some white racist farmer or shot like Lucky Dube. All these development you're talking of done by white people cannot be claimed by the average Sowetan. They are still suffering from post-apartheid paranoia (PAP) and PTS. Who wants to be killed when they suddenly run amok one day killing fellow Africans. They spent too much time being angry and violent, it is now firmly in their DNA. |

Why do some Nigerians keep insinuating that the yellow fever certificates were fake? The South African High Commission in Nigeria inspects these certificates before visas are issued. How come the High Commission didn't reject them? Good point. |

Quote Mar 8, 2012 MommaC Where did the other article go? For the poop who said that Nigeria has been cleared by WHO They DEFINITELY haven't http://www.who.int/ith/chapters/ith2011annexs.pdf http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/yellowbook/2012/chapter-3-infectious-diseases-related-to-travel/yellow-fever.htm They are still a high risk country which is probably because your government thinks that hong fong vaccination certificates will protect you from the disease. Quote Mar 8, 2012 Shredder @Mtho'eng'nanqondo - You are right about that one, Kitty-cats. They don't take out and apologize to us for the eToll. Agg sorry, eThievery. This very silly comment by Mommac i following his link which didn't list Nigeria as an High risk country ,all it pointed out is that there might be traces of Yellow fever in some part of the country. However, even if the travelers didn't have a yellow fever certificate an indication of immunization, The Protocol is that health officials inoculate the affected passengers at a fees considered to be a fine which is not beyond 100 USD as it is being practiced by civilized countries around the world. Even one that calls himself a kitty-cat also commented, no wonder they mew, kitty brains do they read at all just full of hatred for 9ja. |

Tzozzo These bloody Nigerians think we are ignorant people who know little about them and what is happening in their country. I for one have been in that humongous slum called Lagos three times and I can tell you I have never seen such disorganisedn mess in my entire life. A collegue of mine went there in January this year and although I had warned him beforehand he was still unprepared for the culture shock that met him when he arrived at what passes for their international airport. I don't understand why Nigerians can't understand why everybody outside their country h ate them. Right now Boko Haram, an Islamist organization with its roots in the north of the country can't stand their "fellow" Southerners whom they accuse of being morally degenerate and the epitome of everything evil. And lest we forget it is mostly the southerners (igbos) who come here and cause all sort of shi*t. Nigerians are constantly debating whether their country should continue as one thing because they h ate each other more than I h ate their drug dealers. Here is someone's post! The truth is bitter! 1 Like |

Its not their fault anyway I felt it was a mistake saving them from apartheid why wont they be making braggs I dont blame them at all. Wait a minute is their any country called South Africa at all?? To be frank their is nothing like south africa in my own world because I can not imagine a country in West Africa called herself West Africa is that a name of a country North Africa countains its own contries, so East Africa, so West Africa countains so many countries in it but for this so called silly head South African I dont know how come such name to be honest so to me THERE IS NO (SINGLE)COUNTRY EXIST CALLED SOUTH AFRICA. Its a complete lost of Identity. As a matter of fact this is most silly and silliest country in entire Africa soil. A country right in their own land till this very moment there are places black I mean black so called South Africans or whatever can not go within their own contry been patition, barricade from walking freely in their own fathersland and they are here ranting about an apology instead for them to cover there heads with shame and start crying, shame on you. A country who can not decide their own destiny, a country that the indigenous citizen as a figure head president, a country that dented africa image as founding father of HIV/AIDS, a country if not for the british, hollandis, german would not have be existing today because of their laziness in everything, the drunken master. I pray guys go to their street and see drunkeness, laziness, crime, killings, bullet is so cheap like a chewgum in the market I was there before I knew them in and out there are nothing but a bunch of lazy heads, every crime is freeable let me just stop here but be warn seriosly you so called a s s hole "South whatever" pls go and change your country name to proper name because no single country can be called South Africa and I guess that is why there are lots of bastards in that land because that name they bears is wrong name. Mind you, Nigeria is not in your calibre in everyway because it was Nigeria that developed Nigeria and not British, or f u c k i n g german or Hollandis so we are far from each other is that right.
