Can you imagine the nonsense! their fada yansh. Who do these South African Bantus and Khoisan pple think they are flexing shoulders with? Is it Almighty Nigeria? Thunder faya them if they didn't apologize. You will see UAC taking over Shoprite and Globacom taking over MTN. Apology accepted but don't ever repeat that mess again son. We are still giants irrespective of what anyone thinks. |

Stop ditchin this nuts naw! Try to reason with why they had to fear yellow fever. As we all know that 1 in every 2 south africans is hiv +ve. Hiv lowers the body immunity and then kill it. So any small disease like yellow fever, lùkúlùkú, tuberculosis and co will jst kill them within a twinkle of an eye. Yellow fever 1 vs hiv/aids 0 |

The folks that made such statement are suffering from ignorance. Do they really care about their health? When their President Jacob Zuma slept with a woman that got HIV and took a shower later saying taking a shower reduces the risk of getting HIV. |

I checked out the site, ready to unleash on them myself. lol. http://www.sowetanlive.co.za/news/2012/03/08/south-africa-apologises-to-nigeria?filter=all_comments But the newest comments/posters are relatively calm and reasonable in their delivery. It was the first group of posters that made all those incendiary remarks. Of course it could be they backed off only after a few headstrong Naijas went after them. A SA poster named Dzel seem to be quite reasonable though. He's having a mature diplomatic discourse with a couple of the Naijas still in it. lol. It looks like there's lots of brats and hateful people there simply trolling all day long, e.g., cussing out Mandela's daughter for no reason I could see. http://www.sowetanlive.co.za/columnists/2011/02/08/what-cheek-zenani |

Can't believe that SA will forget in a hurry Nigeria's help/magnamity during the scary Apathied era.We see them as our brothers/sisters and helped them immensely but now they are paying us back with hatred. They should ask Mandela, Thabo mbeki,Oliver Thambo, etc on how the struggle was financed. |

They have suddenly forgotten what Nigeria did to liberate them from the strongholds of Apartheid. Then they were fleeing to our beloved Country to escape the rout in theirs and we pulled strings to help fight their Apartheid masters, |

Area-Fada: Respectable married folks like my humble self who have never indulged in any away "match" whatsoever need not bother about HIV testing or status. If you take away high rate of violent crime and the AIDS epidemic, which Nigerians in south Africa are a major contributory factor with their notorious reputation for intimate indiscipline South Africa is better than Nigeria in virtually all ramifications. Until you see other worlds, most people tend to think that the world they live in is the best. South African have tremendous respect around the globe while Nigeria and Nigerians are despised. Step out of your comfort zone. |

SA should know we are most populous black nation in the world SA should know Americans invented internet, yet we rip their ass with their invention SA should know that, Osama globalized terrorism, yet we are the new kid on the bloc SA should know we make most movies in the world as I type this SA should know we presently have the highest number of musicians in the world SA should know that we are best in every crime in the book and we have even most corrupt politicians SA should know our politicians earn the highest pay worldwide SA better know that when I become president, MTN, DSTV and SHoprite and Game will be sent packing. SA, if we can achieve all these feats, we are your not your mates, we the bestest in all endeavors, legal or illegal. Yellow Fever and HIV are incompartible |

I saw some of those posts on a South African website yesterday and they were absolutely disgusting to the mind. I couldn't figure out the reasons for those hateful words and uncalled-for slurs. The way most of them expressed their bitterness about the apology without sense of reasoning was appalling to say the least. It's clear South Africans hate Nigerians,it's clearer they didn't want Nigerians in their country. Not only that, they were also the most unbridled animals I have ever seen in Africa, judging by their comments in that site. I couldn't imagine their stereotypes, xenophobic attitudes and angers for other Africans been expressed in worse scenarios and manners. Turning verbose attacks of hatred into excuses by some, who claimed to be learned, proves how ignorant they were, which was unacceptable in a civilized society. To me South Africa is not a civilized society! For these very reasons aforementioned, there was no single quality to measure these people silly attitudes with the level of their development. It's still a surprising thing to see South Africans, with all they have acquired as people and as a nation(which I now believe are mere claims), can not argue with open minds or decently. |

It's just unfortunate that this event occured and I have the SA govt to blame for not handling the case properly. A lot of South Africans love Nigerians for their hard work and a lot of them are jealous of the success of our people in various fields of endeavour both at home and abroad, even in their country. The South Africans just need to stop being lazy that's all no need to be jealous |

I don't blame them. I blame our government back then. Gowon, Murtala and esp. Obasanjo. If they had seen then what these ingrates are doing today they will never have intervened. We led a boycott of the 76 Montreal olympics and sacrificed the sporting careers of scores of our men and women athletes. The government ignored their pleas and some never recovered. It was so sad. The foreign investors we are looking for today we drove away back then, nationalising several key industries and thus loosing key competitiveness and advantage even to fellow african countries and foisting industrial responsibility overnight on an unprepared people. The military regimes of the day were also not educated and experienced enough in re-industrialization and thus corruption and oligarchy easily took off. That is when second rated (pardon me) investments filled the gap. The Lebanese phenomenon started. By effectively fighting these western multinationals and industrial concerns against apartheid, Nigeria effectively mortgaged its development. Incidentally whatever economic advantage SA has today is simply because of the very thing we fought against - white supremacy. Every one of SA investments in Nigeria today are essentially 'white' so where lies their pride. If we had made Nigeria comfy for western europe and the u.s. while turning a blind eye to apartheid and black suffering, which other african country had the clout to help them and believe me we will have been well rewarded by the 'whites'. But see us today. No wahala. It all sounds like a mother who sold bean cakes to school her son. Of course the woman can feed herself, but to be called smelly smoked. . No problem.Let them continue to enjoy their developed, virus free country. Nigeria will rise again. |

i've already said that this issue should be allowed to slide as the fgn have accepted their appology.whatever the ordinary south africans or nigerians are saying is jst street rantings.bt a few comments really made me to cme bck and chip in something.of particular interest is that of Niseamaka who told us that what we lack in nigeria in terms of amenities are what the south africans takes 4 granted.that sa is way better than nija in every way.i agree with him on that based on the fact that i lived in sa for 3 full years.bt my humble question to u SIR is,would u rather have ur uncle, brother, neighbour or boss insult and disrespect ur wife and kids just because he is richer than u? i wont allow any1 to do that 2 me. crime is not synanimous with nigerians alone.there are crooks all over the world.the eastern europeans who are specialised in stealing cars in south africa and sending then to their region are not nigerians, the jewsish mafia group based in joburg are not nigerians, the white and coloured south africans based in cape town who imports drugs into that country are nt nigerians, the south africans and zimbabweans who robs banks, bullion vans, shops and kill pple 4 no just reason are nt nigerians.the pple who violate little kids with the belief that it can cure their aids are not nigerians.there was this popular south african singer in jail then(Mbuli) for bank robbery.their govt officials are just as corrupt as ours.this is africa.i can go on and on. question here is, was the deportation of nigerians frm south africa done in good faith? lets leave sentiments and say the truth.its nt about infrastructures, money and population, its about doing the right thing and respecting others.if a nigerian commits a crime,he should be judged based on what the law of the land said and not because of the nigerian stereo-typing by south africans.afterall, there are lots of law-abiding nigerians living in that country |
