This is aimed at Lagosians.The year is almost at an end.We´ve made it this far. But it´s that time again, when all the nefarious hustlers decide that ´We must to rock this christmas'the crime rate always goes up in th last months of the year. Lets share advice on strategies for safety.I´ll start based on my own experiences:

if you use in danfo buses, check to see if any of the passengers are wearing baseball caps obscuring their faces. in 2004, during the yuletide season there were a number of robberies in which some passengers(CMS to festac route) were actually armed robbers who ordered the driver to stop around ijora.they then robbed the passengers. it got so bad that the park area boys began to search passengers before boarding.i transpired that the robbers were typically male and with baseball caps.

We heard all about the arrests of 'scantily clad' women earlier this year.Well it´ll soon be december, and it'll be open season on all of us. there´s no definitive guide to places to keep away from.cybercafes will probably be a no go area from december.Just keep in mind that policemen(especally those in festac) will be on the lookout for people to snatch so their folks will have to 'bail' them out.


we can probably expect a resurgence in go slow robberies. if it happens, don´t wind up, you´ll only have to spend more on your broken glass. you should probably keep a little something for them. hell hath no fury like a disappointed robber. for those with expensive phones, i´d recommend carrying decoy 3310s(with sim), and switching off and stowing the n90 under the car seat when leaving the office.

you are right and funny at the same time, one needs to be very care ful in this lagos especially now that we are nearing christmas, ritual killers and rubbers are patroling everywhere looking for stray victims.

people should avoid going out without no reason and not for the sake of going out.

avoid staying out late

Are they trying to catch up for missed opportunities,hence the increase in their acts towards the end of the year.
