There's difference saying a player is a flop and a player who is one for the future asks to be sold due to lack of first team opportunities.

Gnabry never played badly at arsenal. He was always starter during Arsenal's run in cup competitions(fa cup and Carling). Fans knew he was one for the future but he was impatient for not getting first team opportunities quickly which made Wenger loan him to west brom, then to Germany clubs where he was given first team opportunities he craved. He decided against extending and arsenal were then forced to sell.

Flops are players who played badly when given opportunities. Gnabry wasn't one at all.

It's just like selling Gilmour to Barca and he turns class there, you'll now say he was a flop at Chelsea?
