Pep lost stones to injury recently and has 2 quality back ups. Mendy was the only major loss. He lost a rb that was probably meant to be a squad player, he still got Danilo who could deputize both rb and lb.

Not really sure what Pep wanted Sanchez for, there isn't a position in his front three desperating needing attention. So the only two players he couldn't buy last summer were option players.
