I'm not sure it's cardio levels. He is not attentive defensively, and tries to dribble too much through midfield, often losing the ball like Afrodoc2 pointed out.

I am not a fan of central midfielders who run with the ball except the likes of Dembele, Kovacic and Wijnaldum who hardly lose the ball.

Central midfielders first thought should be passing the ball before running with it. That's why I hated Ramires, Bakayoko, Sissoko and co. I thought Ndombele may have better technique than to be losing ball upandan but he is falling into their category from what I've seen so far this season.

James should be starting now,I think his crosses would be better utilized with Giroud up front. Tho Azpi is more solid defensively. But doesn't contribute as much in attack. Although he's a specialist at flicking headers from corners. Alonso in a back 4 doesn't give me much assurance. And its been a While since i saw Emerson,when is he gonna be back in d squad na.

We only include one leftback in matchday squad. You only have 6 outfield substitutes, you can't waste 2 on fullbacks. When Alonso was out the team, he never made bench either. Azpi will move across to leftback if Alonso gets injured.

Forget about what he does with the ball, off the ball he can barely lug his behind around the pitch.

I mean there are many stereotypical black DMs with agricultural technique and ball control but at least they gave you effort. No be the same Tottenham Sissoko dey? The difference is 20mins into the match you see Ndombele clearly looking gassed.
