Chelsea and Spurs can actually help each other out in these last two games.

Spurs beating Leicester will all but guarantee us a CL spot, while they need us to beat Wolves for them get a Europa League spot.

So let's put our rivalries aside and let the former allies - Jose and Lamps - become allies once again.

Let's do this for London cool
which movie is that picture from? I would like to watch it.

Point of correction, sir. Fabregas never played DM at Chelsea. He played as CM and AM.

In a 4-2-3-1, both are expected to defend. All na semantics whether you call it DM or CM, if players are running past you, you are failing in your defensive duties

Fair enough.

But I know many people, like me, will understand that statement as more of comparison than expectation.

Nah it's just hailing a player after a good game. Just like calling Mount Mountpard after a good game or calling Pulisic the new Hazard after a game does not mean you are comparing both players.

I am not arguing the bold. But, Fabregas paid his dues at Chelsea and he deserves some respect. You disrespect our players a lot if they don't suit your preference of players even if they did well for us.

I don't want to get sucked into another sarri debate. I'll just state my opinion and drop the issue.

In my 14 years of supporting Chelsea, I have experienced a rollercoaster of emotions brought upon by the managerial instability and fan's impatience.

There is a cyclical process that constantly occurs which I have been fed up with since.

We hire a new manager, the fans get onboard with him, the new manager signs new players, the manager starts very well and succeeds tremendously (except avb and Avram). The manager hits a rough patch, the fans IMMEDIATELY turn on him, the club sacks him, another manager is signed, stuck with players he doesn't want and signs new players after which another cycle kicks in.

It's a process which is highly frustrating to me, worse so, is seeing how easy it is for fans to change their mind on players and coaches without giving them adequate time after formerly gushing in admiration and praises of the said manager or player.

I know how angry i was when ancelloti was sacked, a champions league winner who we had hired who had won us the double with a powerful group of attackers like anelka, Lampard, deco, Drogba etc. Just because we had lost the title charge by a few points as runners-up.

But our recent managerial turmoil irks me the most.
Just a year after mourinho had taken us to just within one game of the champions league final, and actually winning the league, we sacked him because of problems with Michael and some players.
Needless to point out that we haven't smelt even the quarters since then.

We hired conte, a passionate coach who showed great tactical acumen to win us the league in record fashion, at season end, everybody here was in love with conte only for things to change the minute we hit a rough patch, many fans turned on this coach despite the bad attitude of Diego and the lack of signings.

Now sarri, we hired sarri, despite knowing that he hadn't won anything in his career, the club had long since stated it's desire to start playing a unique brand of attacking football and believed that sarri was the right man for that, they promised him ample time to carry out his vision, the fans embraced the idea of sarriball despite knowing the man hadn't won anything yet, we were ready to give him time knowing that just one season will hardly be enough to fully adapt and implement his philosophy.
We could see flashes of the brilliance of his vision throughout the season but as usual, the minute we hit a rough patch after the usual honeymoon period, the same fans who happily embraced the project grew impatient and frustrated to see it through.
We sacked sarri and now we have decided to hire our legend despite his absolute inexperience, we did this with the promise of giving him sufficient time to grow and groom our young players. The club has promised managerial stability now, Fans have also embraced this move.

This is why I was constantly advocating for caution when Lampard was winning earlier on in the season because I know how easy it would be for our fans to turn on him when we hit a very rough patch.
I am all in, into the frank project and youth revolution and my hope is that we wouldn't be plunged into another managerial cycle for at least 3 years. We have to give Lampard time like kloop, pochetino and guardiola have had at their clubs, no matter what.

Please don't quote me on this sarri issue again, I wouldn't respond. I believe I have completely detailed my perspective on this.

If truly you are in for lampard's project then stop reminiscing about sarri.

No 10?? I always thought Mount played as the third man in midfield.
In our last game, did RLC play as the number 10 or third man in midfield?

Nah...4-2-3-1 was Lampard's preferred formation for a while

I couldn't watch the Norwich game in full but I guess from the lineup and the parts I watches, he played as a no.10.

It may differ sha, depending on the tactics of the manager. For example, a player playing beside a peak Kante in a 2-man midfield would likely have greater offensive responsibility than a traditional DM.

Think Pogba for France. It depends on the personnel and how the manager uses them, he could tweak the tactics.

Gareth Bale also paid his dues at Madrid winning UCLs. So Madrid fans should not disrespect him for sitting on a contract and being useless for 3 years? Fabregas gave me one good year in 4 years. That does not warrant any deference to him. Negative emotions outweigh positive in football and one good year can never wipe out 3 bad years. We pay the guy to produce, not to be catching praises indefinitely for doing his job once. He is an Arsenal boy, I owe him nothing.

No fabregas doesn't deserve any respect .He was an escort all through out his time at Chelsea. He was suck at giving opponent flying tackles like some certain de jong or masherano when he was dropped to the base of midfield. He took us backward with his defensive weakness. He and mikel ran out the team to the ground in 2015/2016 when hiddink gave them chance.if you doubt just ask yourself why Monaco fans are calling him out. grin grin grin

He does.

That's after tax though. He gets £350k.

But why will he pay £250k for tax, that's more than 40% of his salary. Isn't that too much?

KOVACIC:
Hakim Ziyech was the beginning of Kepa's torment I wont be surprised if Ziyech in training his outside shots at Cobham is an added motivation to let kepa go.

Lampard will be like how can Ziyech score all 10 of his 40yard strikers against Kepa.

Maybe Ziyech should stop training with this players, it seems to affect their confidence cheesy
hmm but Pulisic seems fired up. grin

All these sentimental attachment to players is an eye sore.

We no be kids na.

We don dey here attack Gilmour first match and from subsequent matches he picked up and we hailed him. Same goes for CHO, RLC and others.

No player is your sibling here nor acquaintance. If them bash your favorite player, e no reach to come dey throw insult.

Let's learn to overlook things here.

Many of the Chelsea fans on this thread are what i like to call "kiss àss".

If it's the more popular guys on this thread that throw the first punch, they will run like sheep under the post and write "mad o" and start supplying likes and shares.

When the reverse is the case they'll start forming motivational speaks.

Thorvik could have just ignored and let the two guys wey get fight continue throwing hands but no, he had to be the sheep.
