You are very correct with this your observation.
And yes of course, it's very obvious that there are guys here more popular than others. Anybody who denies this is lying to himself.

I think that the metrics or indices of popularity here is measured by the longevity of those posters on this forum.

People like Ibime, Raumdeuteur, nihilist, afrodoc, diggz and Nateevs all share two attributes that make them very popular and that is; 1; they have been here the site was founded in 2006 and all of them are also abroad, so people are drawn subconsciously to success and experience.

My own favourite poster here is Nateevs, in the old days, he used to be the one creating our Chelsea fan thread back then when each thread had limits. The guy too has a reputation of NEVER engaging in online brawls no matter how hard you bait him.

My second favorite person here is Ibime, at one point or the other here in the last 14 years here, he has made a lot of wonderful posts that gave me intellectual orgasm. We also share same stances politically.
His only downside or undoing is his constant arrogance or tendency to bully people with dissenting opinions. Of all the aforementioned people there, he is the most volatile but smart nonetheless.

All those guys i listed are certainly the most popular here, anybody who denies that is in self denial seeing as this particular thread transcends only sports here as we learn life lessons and formation of personal ideologies.
Ibime once gave me a perfect financial idea here that enabled me to buy my land.

So it's fair to say that this thread is kind of an important life aspect to its constant visitors.
