I know if u r frm nigeria or ghana, u don't need an affidavit of support. I dnt know about other countries tho

Let me correct somtin, I think the black lady sat @ her rightful position which is window 13, and she has been an angel. She has been putting smile on ppl's faces. She has never denied anybdy in this forum visa before, so u ar lucky to be interviewed by her. All the same, its still the hand work of God who said that Goodness and Mercy MUST follow u.

my brother frm wat u just said, I guess u ar nt a nigerian cos 168## is too much to be current by february. It myt be that of ghana or any other country but not 9ja. If u are frm 9ja & she told u that, just kno she is tryn to stop u frm worryn. If I shuld say, 16### is still hy to be current by february 15th.

About providing accommodation, giving work to you is a total lie please the person who told you this LIED. Being a permanent resident is a “privilege” and not a “right.” You will look for accommodation on your own that is why you need someone to hold your hand during the first time. Ask yourself what is it that you have, that will be make the American pick you from the 7 million people who applied for the 2013 DV, give you a Visa, accommodate you and give you work? They have homeless people that they can accommodate and give jobs. Please this is a “privilege” Take it and make good use of it. Try your best and organise yourself before the BIG day we want to hear your positive testimony.

is only your birth cert that matters but i think you should swear an affidavit to be on the safer side.

To ALL DV LOTTERY WINNERS,

I am so excited about these threads all over NL and how maturedly the forumites are handling it compared to other threads out there on NL. Some people curse, yell, and throw ugly words at each other. Need to say that these threads are not only being read by Nigerians but other knowledgeable people all over the world. From all ratings, I would consider all DV Lottery forums the best of all forums on NL so far. If you think you want to settle down in Dallas, TX, please feel free to drop your concerns on any of the forums for the DV lottery and I am sure we have a lot of ppl right there who are ready to help.

you can meet a cab driver, negotiate wit him. Tell him wher u ar goin and how important it is to u that u hav to be there befor 6am, collect his phone number, u can call him as early as 5am. He wil com to ur house, pick u up and tak u to the embassy before your checking in tym. I doubt if it wil cost u mor than 4k frm anywher in lagos. Its better to pay 4k than to miss ur interview. If u ar nt comfortable wit my opinion, u can as well beg som1 to take you there as early as 5.30am. Any other person wit a better idea can pls bring it on.

when u land here,you can hardly go back to naija to do anything.The best is to move over here,get your transcript graded and see where you can continue your education here.Your grade score will determine the level to continue you education.As for jobs,there are lots here mostly in food industries,retails sales and manufacturing sector.Your location in Dallas also matters alot cos dallas alone is like lagos and ogun state combined.If you hear people mention dallas,they may also be refering to DFW, Grand prairie,arlington,plano and over 10 other cities.Most jobs of over $10 per hour(in Texas) require US job reference(u must have been working in US),experiences(you will to convince them that you can do it),handy work(skilled jobs like plumbing,electrician and co),certification jobs etc.
Finally, your host may determine alot of things about how fast you settle down,get jobs and make more money.
