You have ruined d child,s opportunity of obtaining a green card....maintain ur status quo or risk being denied....wonder why u omitted ur child's name in d first place... Just don't make d mistake of including d child...

The person that filled the form told me that is good to fill in that am single n got no kid that it increases my chances of getting it

Don't kill me with laughter...LOL. Your sister's son ke? How can anyone believe you. Abeg you can't eat your cake and still have it. Find someone old enough to be the father of the child.

How old is he? Perhaps I'll marry you afterall...LOL. You can try your luck by including the name of the child and going with him. God may just favour you. The rules say a DV selectee must have an high school diploma(that is, WAEC), yet I read the story of a guy who had only primary school education and was given his visa.

Pls do what you think is best for you. As for me, I know there is no certainty in life. Life itself is a risk. DV lottery is luck, pure and simple. You are not even guaranteed of being issued a visa after winning. One must take his chances.

But if you maintain that you are single and meet all the requirement, you stand a better chance of getting the visa. Your son in question was definately born before you played the lottery so including him now will automatically ruin your chances. You can file for your son after you have gotten the visa. Be wise.... Don`t gamble with the opportunity....

She can file for the son she does not have when she was granted the greencard? Better be truthful or outsmart them. Once you claim you do not have a son, then you do not have a son. They have your information for life and will review it if and when you file for anybody in the future. I have been fillowing this thread for a long time now, getting married after you won does not diminish your chances. They don't expect your life to stop just because you won the lottery. That is why they ask one to update them if one's status changes.

@ Cindybella and ik.swiss, it obvious both of you have a similar issue, this is a perfect example that can pass a case study. who knows, maybe we are being too engross by the laws lately or too careful of what can actually be of advantage.
Here is my opinion: both of you should choose separately from the options below.

Hospital bill N12,000 for adult; N7,000 for children
Vaccination and others medications costs are depend on what and what you are given.
Visa fees $330 = N60,000 each (though, it is lesser to that)

DURING THE INITIAL ENTRY IT STATES THAT You must list all your living unmarried children under 21 years of age, regardless of whether or not they are living with you or intend to accompany or follow to join you should you immigrate to the United States, with the exception of children who are already U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent Residents. A spouse or child who is already a U.S. citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident will not require or be issued a DV visa. Failure to comply with this instruction can result in the disqualification of your entry.

RULES are the same everywhere even here in my country, but if you want to spoil your chance go ahead and include the child.

This might be the last DV please enter as single and without the child, when you get to the US eventually away will come you never know, people are allowed to adopt kids and you might work on this. Dont throw away a chance you have for the last time.
