Its indeed God's wish coz on sunday,ma hubby's friend connected us wit sumbdy to help us to lagos.on getting to lagos we told him we ll drop @ obalende to secure accommodation.The man immediately offered us a room in his 2 bedroom flat @ gbagada phase II and promised 2 drop us @ d embassy as early as possible wic he did.
Though we had 10am appointment buh we got 2 d embassy as early as 5:50am.pls ensure u get to d embassy @ least 2hrs ahead and adhere to all instructions.we were first called @ 8am as against d 10am on our appt buh we were delayed by dos who refused to open der medical envelopes b4 den.so,we were turned back and was told to wait till our time while some entered.

I think in the case of your wife she is the petitioner, although she derives the right from you as a derivative. That was what I filled for my wife, son and daughter and KCC replied that the forms I submitted are ok for further processing. This is the reason why each person is expected to sign his or her own form except for infants whose parent needs to sign for like in the case of my daughter, please others with family can still contribute so that we don’t confuse our family member in the house.

I dont Know how many hours It Is and The fare but Ur frnd Can Call his Host To Assist in dt aspect Or better still he Can get a Cab But It might b expensive o cos Cab drivers Charge based On distance covered On their Taxi metre.

I don't know about your first question because i send my own form via EMS but the second one. As long as you have a US address. Fill it there. You can change it later at the Port of Entry when you already have a place to stay and your GC will be sent you.

Sending your form though email works well where there is a network scanner. Go to a good business center where all the electronic devices are networked, tell them you want your forms scanned as a single file, you and your wife should be two separate files. As for your photo scan it and use the tool on this site http://travel.state.gov/_res/flash/cropper/FIG_cropper.html# and crop photos to the required standard (save the photos with your names then attaché the photos two each with your forms and send it to KCC). They will reply you within three to six hours.
Note: if you cannot do it you are free to scan it and send it to me pjogutum@yahoo.co.uk I will do it for you free in my office and send it back to you. Hope this helps just my own contribution I am a DV 2013 winner.
