Daymauler: Spokesman of the Central Bank Ugochukwu Okorafor, who spoke to LEADERSHIP SUNDAY, however, said he could not confirm that the bank’s governing board was thinking of introducing two new denominations in addition to the existing ones. They will never come out straight. They first push it to d pple and act on their reactions either by hoodwinking or to-hell-with-them tactics. Rumours in Naija are realities! |

Every note changed to coin becomes obsolete. I suggest no denomination be changed to note, but we should introduce 10,000 Naira Note only, to help mop excess note in the system. 1 Like |

Nigeria's currency is on tjhe decline n this is what the CBN can come up with. Our thieving politicians will have a field day stealing loads of money n wont give a rats @ss about the poor masses, they never have. Come to think of it, did aboki sanusi think of what would happen to our inflation rate? In my opinion, he equally doesnt give a flying Zap. |

2000 and 5000 naira notes are more in line with a cashless policy 1) you cannot go completeley cashless 2) n5000 notes are more cost effective to print than n1000 3) for those times when you must have cash, it is easier to carry around n500,000 in n5000 notes than in n1000 notes. - all those times when one makes a big withdrawal and then leaves the bank with a big bag . . . |

Yinkay: How come highest denomination in US is $100,British pounds is £50 and Euro is €500 despite the size and diversification of their economic base?If you carry any of those highest denominations and present it at a store to buy something, ALL EYES WILL BE ON YOU! You just dont see it flying around BUT in Nigeria's case, you will see "thieves spraying it" at parties sef! When 20Naira was highest denomination, Politicians steal hundreds of thousands Naira When 50Naira was highest denomination, Politicians steal Millions Naira When 2000Naira was highest denomination, Politicians steal hundreds of Millions Naira When 500Naira was highest denomination, Politicians steal Billions of naira Now, Sanusi and Jonathan are upping their game! Smart guys, they intend to loot Nigeria to the tune of Trillions of Naira! Heaven will only help those who stand-Up and help themselves......seems Nigerians are not ready yet! The suffer-head never reach correct levels! Hmmm...so Nigeria will now overtake Zimbabwe? Lastpage! 1 Like |

Nigerians are really strange , the IMF/World Bank gave this directive a long time ago , your president agreed on it even before if was made president. I wrote about it last year but many people were saying it is not possible and yelling farce. I hope they are here to witness it , people should relax because more hardship is coming your way. When you people have actually suffered really well maybe you should change the habit of calling informed individuals conspiratory theorists. More hardship more suffering means more premature deaths , it keeps working for the enemies of the black man in gis own lines. The only edge nigeria has on security is our population and we would be loosing that edge soon. |
