@ francuiz. I also studied chem engr, jst pray one of ur interviewers did nt study engr so as nt  bombard U̶̲̥̅̊ wt engr questn. Although durin my 2nd interview d M.D read chem engr. So as regard ur questn I blive as an regardless of ur field U̶̲̥̅̊ cn apply ur knowlegde of science, statistic and maths in areas dat it will be relevant 2d bank and also since chem engr has 2do wt design nd maintainance of chem plant, U̶̲̥̅̊ cn help d bank 2 initiate new ideas on hw 2 reach out and maintain deir customers

Mydear, I sent my cv several times to therecruitmentteam@gtbank.com, I gave my friend that works there to also help me foward to their HR, I went to their headoffice and begged a security man to please help me drop my CV in their HR dept, so I actually don't knw the one that nailed it for me.

According to a friend of mine, he said u could say that engineering as a course makes u very analytical and calculative and that's one of the traits needed by a banker. I hope this helps.

Banks make money mainly from interest on loans and (COT)commisssion on turoover, you could also add stuffs like charges on over the counter withdrawl, alerts and charges on current currents.

The largest source of bank turnover is from treasury operations. This include incomes earned from FOREX, booking of various investments such as treasury bills, Commercial papers, bankers acceptance, government bonds etc and other financial assets being traded by the bank. This represent about 65% of the bank's revenue. Kindly note that GTB is not an exemption.
