she would be four months plus when I resume work. I'd try to see if I can still get the three pm closing time for nursing mothers for two months. If I can then I'm sure I'd have no problems continuing EBF but if I can't that's when I'd need back ups

For the 1st week, we were given Afrabvite, citramin vit c, Mim blood tonic, ampiclux Beecham for babies, Panda. then nospamin to be taken when his cord fall.

Mothers that have had to take care of sick babies, I troway salute o. It's not an easy something, mehn! LO has been on admission since yesterday and I think this is officially the hardest thing I've done all my life.

He just started crying non-stop and unconsolably for hours. This is a baby that is usually very calm o. He was refusing breastmilk on top of that. Being FTP, DH and I just rushed to the hospital straight and between then and now, they have suspected and ruled out a thousand and one things. All the tests we have done have come back fine to the glory of God but they are still keeping us for observation.

Mamas, how do you do it? I'm tired and hoping I don't go from paed ward to female ward. The headache is out of this world. I was feeling sorry for myself till a cute little boy with a heavily pregnant mom was admitted in the same room. I come dey pity d woman. She said she went into false labor cuz of all d stress. God help us all, it's not was at all.

To the point of my epistle, please any ideas what could be wrong with my LO? He's 3 months and usually very calm with a healthy appetite so the non-stop crying and refusal to feed is completely out of character.

Your baby girl needs no drugs. Supplements like multivitamin (if necessary) should only be introduced after 6 months.

Antibiotics is a no-no. It will only end up weakening her immune system and make her body build resistance to antibiotics in time of actual sickness.

If you want your baby to remain healthy, then ensure you maintain excellent personal hygiene. Wash and sterilise all her bottles, etc after every use. Do not expose her to cold and especially mosquitoes.

Make sure your house/bedroom where she sleeps is neat, tidy and swept regularly. Make sure any water you give her is boiled throughly (whether bottled or sachet water).

As a mum make sure you feed very well. Eat a balanced diet which includes fruits and vegetables as she will be getting all the nutrients and vitamins she needs from you via breast milk.

If you decide to supplement with formula, then go for a pocket friendly reputable brand.

Change her diapers when due to avoid nappy rash. Apply Vaseline on her bum after each nappy change. Do not over dress her with many layers of clothing as this could lead to skin rash.

My dd move on her tummy til 9months before she starts to crawl and she has started walking now at 11months

You need to start playing music around him. For example in the car and in the house.

At bedtime, you can play a lullaby for him. You can find loads of really cool ones that play for hours on YouTube.
