Excellent performance. Lets give GEJ a chance, give him reasonable time to turn situation around.

comradefery: What do you expect when most of the present Nigerian youths are only good at chatting, defrauding, indulging in Exam malpractices, cultism and discussing useless things that they hardly have the time to read their books, listen to news, research, and study our political development with keen interest so that even when they want to disagree with views and actions of individuals/leaders, they will do it with high sense of responsibility, civility, decency, and decorum, while presenting intelligent arguments predicated on facts.I pray that all those who have jettisoned healthy and constructive criticisms and resorted to vilifying Jonathan and his Family will live to be vilified, insulted and humiliated by others.Unfortunately, most of them will never dream of attaining Goodluck Jonathan's height both Politically and Academically.

Are you praying or cursing?
This is a Jonathan supporter vilifying Yaradua while he was still president.
Nobody criticised him for his language. Nobody pointed out that Yaradua was old enough to be his father
It was not necessary to remember that the office of the president should be respected
But we have ti respect the President now that "our man" is there
This was in April 2010
BTW - I don't abuse people, but you have to be fair in cautioning people who do
And stop cursing - you are making it worse

Jakumo: Much has been said about the DRAMATIC improvement in the supply of grid electrical power to Nigeria over the past few months, but a new thread is still in order, since Jonathan Goodluck has slayed a monster that NO OTHER Nigerian head of state DARED tackle at any time over the past 30 years.

It began virtually the instant President Goodluck took over from the long dead and entirely worthless Ex-President Yar Adua, with lights and electrical appliances flickering to life all over Nigeria for the first time in the living memory of any person less than 30 years old, and now, there flows near 24-hour stable electrical power over vast, long forgotten swathes of a land formerly condemned to permanent darkness.

Evidently, President Goodluck single handedly confronted, defeated and uprooted that profoundly evil gang of criminals who held on to key jobs in the national electrical utility company, exploiting their access to the key equipment for the devious purpose of profiteering from Nigeria's electrical blackout by making sure all electrical outlets remained permanently dead. With President Goodluck now DIRECTLY running Nigeria's electrical power sector, all the worn-out excuses for the perennial blackout have miraculously vanished overnight. This accomplishent is almost beyond comprehension, and is without equal in Nigeria's entire history.

If there is a minor regret most Nigerians may quietly harbor in the wake of this astonishing development, it would probably be that those squalid, greedy saboteurs of the country's power supply capability cannot simply be lined up against a wall and shot to pieces in a hail of machinegun fire before an exultant crowd.

All in all, Jonathan Goodluck ALREADY qualifies as Nigeria's MIRACLE MAN, for he has accomplished the seemingly impossible in virtually no time at all. Bravo Johnny ! You is da MAN ! Take my wife, please ! I would be greatly honored.

Jona expects the bulk of his compatriots to live at the post-conventional stage of universal ethical principles -which is highly impossible- but won't live beyond the pre-conventional stage by declaring his assets. Tell me this ogogoro is not working wonders. A bloody hypocrite you have as a leader. Is that what transparency in governance means to him?

The economy has been growing since 1999
We have never had a recession since 1999

Nobody hates Jonathan because he is Ijaw

This is a major problem with you guys - It is South South people who started talking about 2015 less than 1 year into Jonathan administration.
Go and re-read here on Nairaland (2008 - 2010) what people said about Yaradua - Yaradull, Snail, Baba Go Slow etc
People also called Obasanjo names - baboon etc
Nobody said that was because he is Yoruba
Nigerians have always criticised their presidents
Nigerians will criticise Jonathan - whether he is Ijaw or Hausa or Yoruba or Ibo
Jonathan is milking the internet for cheap publicity - look at the swarm here by you guys with your multiple IDs
Yet Jonathan is playing victims that people with multiple IDs are criticising him
And he is the one "who brought facebook to Nigeria"
He is the one updating his facebook page while asleep
He is the one who turned posts from his facebook page into a book

Boko Haram is an issue just like MEND (and at a time Boko Haram) was an issue for Yaradua
Yaradua government could not meet the budget projections from oil sales - not so Jonathan
Boko Haram is disrupting economic activities but Jonathan is still selling oil and he can fight Boko Haram with that money
MEND did not allow Yaradua and Obasanjo to do that

The response to the strike at Ojota was military confrontation - that eliminated a lot of goodwill
Has the same decisiveness been seen in the fight against corruption
- but why are the subsidy crooks not sweating now?
Who has he jailed?
I am happy that you have made a u-turn on the economic situation of this country, you that aid we are fast losing our foreign reserve and are gradually getting broke now say that our economy has been growing since 1999 and that we have never had economic recession since 1999 ( how many tongues do you have?). You should respect your elders, especially those in authority,do you have any spiritual upbringing at all? Who told you it is south south people that started talking about 2015? The main actor in this play has not said anything about it,even yesterday and I believe he is the best positioned person to talk about 2015. Nobody is saying don't criticise him,am just saying be factual, respectful and constructive, unless you are from the worst ghetto where manners are not taught. If truth be said, the boko haram insurgency took a new turn from the day GEJ a sworn in as a president and whether you want to accept it or not, it is because he is from the south south and was promised an uncomfortable government. There is hope, the man is focused and firm, irrespective of what the Nigerian mobsters are thinking. My only pain is that this country does not deserve such a leader. Nigeria needs gangsters who violent and trigger happy.

I didn't bother to watch the media chat because I don't believe in what I hear but what I see, settled for the Euro 2012.

My questions:
* how will the chat change the economy
* will the chat return our foreign to USD60bn
* will the chat improve power because we have power supply for over ten days
* will the chat return the billions stolen by subsidy managers
* will the chat stop Boko Bombings because the June deadly given by GEJ is up
* will the chat improve our declined standard of education

All I hear is talk,I want visible results. With USD3bn in foreign reserve Nigeria is doom already and that's where GEJ should focus instead of wasting public funds broadcasting media chat,Spain has more money in foreign than Nigeria yet struggling and what will be our faith.
