The last time i was in Maryland in Enugu, it was a huge construction site. It's gonna be filled with lots of estates in the future. Thank God we have some land in that area and timber shed.

There's no person more Igbotic than me on this forum. Being Igbo is more than just speaking Igbo and shouting "Igbo Kwenu" everywhere. It's simple having love for where you come from. My plans for Igboland is out of this world. I pray i have the kind of money i'm eyeing to have and 70% of my investments and properties will spread throughout Nnewi, Onitsha, Enugu, Aba, Owerri, Abakaliki, Asaba etc. It's only a matter of time. Btw, i thought you lived in Sokoto?

Good concept.
That is how modern open air markets should be constructed with general parking area and enough space between the stalls. With area for utilities as banks and market administration building . Also, conviniences as toilets must not be omited as with the disasterous designs of markets in Nigeria omit toilets and people end up flinging shiit all over the place and gutters because there are no toilets where they can answer nature's call decently. Lets hope it comes out the way it was designed.
BTW, what type of music was that?

^^^It says on youtube that it'll be located along the Enugu-Port Harcourt expressway.

They should use the old Kenyatta market land for a park; it's not a must to build on every available land.

can they deliver it the way it is undecided what about back door bribes that will allow thatched shops to be erected in those lawns...what about road hawking...what measures are in place to make sure the render is followed to the letter. am not too excited about the project 'cause I know the usual way our govt delivers projects. notice there's no open drainage, but watch out how the market will be flooded with gutters. what is in that render is not so sophisticated for an average nigerian contruction company to deliver but corruption will never allow us get it right. if we dont get it right this time, in no distant time, we'll still be face with another congestion and the need to relocate.

The Enugu Sports Club said Wednesday that plans were underway to upgrade its golf course to an international standard by turning 12 out of its 18 holes to green before the second quarter of next year.

Speaking during the closing ceremonies of the Enugu Amateur Open Heineken/Dragon Golf Tournament, the Captain of the Golf Section of the Club, Ben Etiaba said the essence of upgrading the course to an international standard was for them to be able to host international tournaments.

Though, a golfer from Enugu club, Tochukwu Isife emerged the overall winner of the tournament after defeating other players from Aba and Minna clubs with 147 gross, players from Otukpo, Benue state won most of the awards at the end of the tournament.

Etiaba said the remodelling of the golf course would make the fairwars more exciting and very challenging to play and therefore extended his appreciation to the General Officer Commanding 82 Division of the Nigeria Army, Major Gen. A. Olaniyi and the Managing Director of the Nigerian Breweries Plc, Nicolaas Vervelde for making the open tournament a great success.

In his speech, the NB Plc Managing Director, Vervelde who was represented by the Ama Brewery Manager, John Richardson said the tournament was their way of demonstrating commitment towards sports development in Nigeria, adding that sports contributes immensely in the development of an active and healthy mind. grin

pls those handling the construction of college road and environs should speed up the project.
I passed thru there and the place is a dusty mess, the houses there are coated with dust.
The road was scraped and abandoned, the residents are crying in pain.
Went to photocopy something there and the owner of the business has been coughing from the past few months.

Can someone explain why the project has been abandoned?
