Lagos was very much developed before states like Akwaibom was created... Relatively, considering the rate of infrastructural development, within 4 years that state had become a model state with first class road networks, tourist centre, booming economy etc.. I give it to Akwaibom ibom bashr8: lagos abuja and rivers, those are states where federal government have invested oil money the most, everyother state are on their own.my broda u just spoke my mind.isues lyk ds lagos abuja nd ph shoud be left out, especaly lagos an ex fct wic every tribe in nija contributd 2 its suces.dy shud bring any westrn state infact travel 2d west there u wil knw dy re just noise makers atimes i wondr d knd of pepl in ds forum.lagos state dat ws capital of nija 4 nearly 121 nd ure comparng wit states dat re les dan 60ys old,hw.d wost is dat ds hoples yorubas alwas take credit 4d suces of odar pepl.hoples opurtunist,hw many areas in lagos did yorubas laid foundatn 4dia development bt odar tribes.so wen rankngs lyk ds comes up,lagos shud be left out bring odar yoruba states.imagne an idiot mentiong osun.osogbo wic is nt up 2 a lga in imo state.sory.in terms of igr u tok of rivers, lagos(by luck),delta, akwa ibom, bayelsa, anambra, abia, kano, imo, cros river,nd odars 1 Like |

cyril83: says who FG invested oil money in lagos,if you say agriculture money fine!since the advent of this crude oil, tinubu and fash can account di amount FG had invested to the state...have you forgotten that obasanjo refused to pay allocation to lagos for years...@op you ursef know appropriate answer to this question, even if you ask a new born baby he will definately tell you LASGIDi Haba!!! Fashola was not even born when oil was discovered (the advent), he was probably in primary school when Gowon was building those bridges and roads you see with OIL money in the '70s. The entire Festac Town was constructed in 1977 by Obasanjo. Babangida completed the building of the Third Mainland Bridge in the early '90s. Why don't you ask if you are not sure? |

It is obvious some people are just mouthing off on things they barely understand. Funny enough, they equate the high GDP of Lagos state to high contribution to FG's revenue. . Lol una can decieve una sef for southwest no be snall sha, so Lagos has not been a beneficiary of oil noney realy? Na fashola IGR na im develop Lagos, ehe? All those long bridges, Business districts, Festac town and co all came up during Fashola-Tinubu. One chap even tried to humourosly defend his stance by stating that OBJ withheld funds for Lagos but forget to mention that the accumulated withheld fund was released to the Lagos state by the Yaradua administration and it aided greatly to pay for numerous construction that took place in Lagos. Fashola's good name picked on from there. Till date, Lagos state is still one of the biggest beneficiaries of the oil wealth from the Eastern region. They still attract the biggest FG projects and patronage. . So ya'll should stop decieving urselves. |

If u have 2 vote, dn u av 2 tink wel n knw of facts. Lagos state gains over $33billion 4rm d govt wic makes it d highest in 9ja n yet its d smalest state whyl d south east n south south dat produces more of d wealth doesnt get up 2 $20billion. Anambra gets $11b, imo gets $13b+, rivers gets abt $16b+, delta gets abt $16b+ or dia abt bt yet they excel more. These states gts money on dia own, lagos depends on d govt, even though they get some 4rm taxes bt i bet u, if we shud stp colecting govt money n each state shud b on its own, lagos wont meet up with d standard again. Pls rmve lagos cos we al knw y it shudnt b dia, it has already gone far since wn d british entad 9ja n shudnt b compared even though most states r getin 2 it standard. |

Imagine! This poster is a pathetic individual! Ok, u removed lagos and u put akwa ibom, enugu, rivers. Lols From that, I can only conclude that; 1. You are deluded 2. You don't travel or 3 you are a tribistic bigot. I'm unfollowing this thread ASAP Bt jst a word of advice; remove akwa ibom and enugu, then we can talk business. Ok I don agree say u dey beef south westerners, atleast add one or two notable northern states so that the poll will be more realistic. Note that we are talking best infrastructures not statés that are under encouraging improvement. |

speedyboi: Imagine! This poster is a pathetic individual! Ok, u removed lagos and u put akwa ibom, enugu, rivers. LolsThis Poll is only for the rating of the prefered STATE IN NIGERIA WITH THE BEST INFRASTRUCTURE and nothing more! We all agree that Lagos is a former FCT, n 75% of its infrastructure was develop wen it enjoyed the status of an FCT. However, aside from Lagos in the south-west, there is NO single state in that same south-west and even in the entire northern nigeria that meets upto 30% of all the indicies of infrastructural development as earlier provided. Therefore, even by analysing the generality of comments on this tread u wud find-out that there is need to re-zero it down to the three states which are prominent and cud meet-up at least 60% of the indicies provided- which for emphasis must be of WORLD-STANDARD. Therefore, nothing is tribalistic about this Poll. |
