Crayola1: Crayola my friend. I am a health freak myself ( yes despite the deplorable health indices from the north) I don't eat beef at all. But even the bush meat , rats, snails, monkeys, pigs, dogs , donkeys, lizards, insects and so on that your people eat are associated with Heath risks. Echinococcosus, lass a fever , rabies, liver flukes and so on can be more dangerous than the gradual accumulation of atheroma due to cholesterol. |

Dr Tilda and co must think they are smart. If the army had wanted to kill their innocent would they have told dem to relocate. The relocation is for five communities and all we are hearing now is , fulani this, fulani dat, abeg make them commot for road, carteppilar wan clear road ojare! How can the govt. Say they have a project to handle and the fulanis and their leaders would say no. The govt can not do this or do that. Make we dey carefull before we experience a complete breakdown of law and order. |

Crayola1: Yes definitely northern governors have a major major proportion of the fault. You will be surprised that I detest most of the northern governors more than I dislike Jonathan. My dislike for Jonathan is only because of his cluelessness , obvious lack of capacity to be truly in charge and move the country forward.. Otherwise he is a nice guy , I can join him for a drink any day, his hesitant and mild mannered disposition will never be a problem, he could perhaps manage a small LGA as chairman. The northern governors on the other hand are actively destroying a legacy of work and worship which characterized the noth in the 50s and 60s. There was a great potential for development which was and is quashed by short sitedness and insatiable greed by the leaders. You said clarify a bit , so I will stop here. |

Re: Fulani Agree To Leave Villages After Meeting With STF. by Omarbah: 4:23pm On Jul 17, 2012 |
dr stone:First of all Futa Jallon is not in Sierra Leone, it's in Guinea. Second of all, you like to talk about the violence of Fulani but when they are victims of attacks or when their property, meaning the cows are stolen or slaughtered by others, you see people pop bottles of champagne. And when they retaliate, and Allah knows they always do, they are called brutal. If you want peace for everyone, you need to stop being bias. Give the same fair treatment to everyone. With all the hatred towards them, don't be surprised that they are so attached to holding power. Because they know if you are the one ruling , they'd be deprived of their rights. |
Re: Fulani Agree To Leave Villages After Meeting With STF. by oiseworld: 5:08pm On Jul 17, 2012 |
Omarbah: reason your buhari is keen on becoming president, by hook or crook. Very, very DESPERATE. The fulani's really don't have any thing to fear, people get cheated everyday. They only have to fight for their rights as nigerians, that's if they have any. The non hausa/fulani should be the worried ones here. At every slightest mistake or misconception they fall victim of the blood sukers. They should be the ones desperate for power, but its the other way round. |

Crayola1: Nothing in this world makes rabies look like flu! Once signs of rabies appear the patient dies a painful death and a most disturbing sight within one week even with the best care anywhere in the world. I pray that even my enemy doesnt get rabies. Rabies is by most accounts the most disturbing illness to be seen by anybody , I hope you neverEven see a rabies patient. God forbid but the day I get rabies please put me to permanent sleep gently with an injection - this is the best you can do to a rabies patient you love. As for mad cow disease (BSE), it has never been seen in human beings so far . Even though the kuru - seen in some tribes of Papua new guinea shows similar signs to those seen in cows with mad cow disease , the kuru has no animal origin and it cannot be compared to rabies in agony and frightening macabre manifestations. please don't talk about rabies .[sup][/sup] |

Of all the villages to be evacuated, which of them carries a fulani name? NON All carry Berom names, but I wonder how these sentimental northern bigots got it that they are fulani ancestral villages! Let them evacuate ASAP before military operation vacates them by force. |

tigerleggs: Y dis hatred on fellow 9jas? Hmmm!Guy,dis is no hatred.nigerians are even being lenient on this INGRATES.They migrate from one part of the country to another feeding their livestock on peoples farms and sweat, even killing thousands of people in the process. They dont deserve to live among humans.I suggest this their nomadic lifestyle should even be banned in this country.Animals |

nagoma: Rabies has a vaccine that has a pretty high success rate if delivered on time. BSE is a death sentence and has been seen in humans, have you forgotton the UK beef scare of the 80's where even the Prime Minister's daughter refused to eat a burger on camera? The disease is called Creutzfeldt–Jakob. http://www.centerforfoodsafety.org/campaign/food-safety/mad-cow-disease/other-resources/a-consumers-guide-to-mad-cow-disease/mad-cow-disease-timeline/ I'll take the 8 shots to the stomach over a disease that has a treatment that consists of only hospice care. |
Re: Fulani Agree To Leave Villages After Meeting With STF. by nagoma(m): 7:05am On Jul 18, 2012 |
Crayola1:While post exposure vaccination may sometime work in preventing rabies , as I said, once signs of rabies appear the victim will almost certainly die in agony. With regards to the variant of BSE , there is a reasonably strong link mainly through retrospective study between Bovine products and the sporadic occurrence of the disease. There is no defined cause and effect relationship but epidemiological parameters point out a link. The sort of link or strong speculation between cervical cancer and sex. But rabies is in a class of it's own , I would rather have vCJD. You can have Rabies Crayola. |
Is this not the same Tilde that declared the order a GENOCIDE? Totally oblivious of the meaning of the word. Yet he carries the title "Dr" Mr. Tilde is busy talking about the Hague to punish those who made the Fulani move. Yet he has not talked of those who organised the systematic murder of the villagers forcing them from their homes. While the Fulani have rights and deserve humane treatment as citizens, no doubt, in his efforts to analyse the situation he is showing unbrid. I concurred, if u want 2 come 2 equity come wt clean hands. This Dr Tilde of a guy shud b arrested. U observe his inflammatory statement threatenin anoda deadlier attack if their demands r not met. I blame STF 4 negotiatin wt Bokoharam Terrorists |

Abagworo: The Fulani problem remains a product of our disorganized system. We have discussed this on Nairaland and agreed that the best way to end all these Fulani fracas is by creating a cattle grazing belt. That way Fulanis wgo traditionally believe that God gave them pasture to graze will not intrude into people's farm. Anything short of that is like postponing the doom's day. nonsense so you are ready to give your father-farm-land to be a grazing yard for the fulanis? pls invite them and do so for the sake of peace to rein in Nigeria another question, why is fulanis causing problems every where they go? help me with answer, pls |

Jamisco: Because they don't have news media to report their own Points of view. As long as we all depend on the hateful southern Nigeria press, the fulanis will continue to be seen as the villains. |
Re: Fulani Agree To Leave Villages After Meeting With STF. by Jamisco: 11:45am On Jul 19, 2012 |
they have media my brother may be you don't read news papers regularly. I'm not saying the Berom people are innocent but what i'm saying fulanis are causing problems all over the country. I am a victim in 2011 where falanis destroyed my farm after spendimg over hundred thousand naira and the farm was ready to harvest. i was jobless than and i gathered that money to farm and also used my labour in the farm. i lost more than 300,000 naira on that incidence. Because they don't have news media to report their own Points of view. As long as we all depend on the hateful southern Nigeria press, the fulanis will continue to be seen as the villains.
|
