richiebaba: @ imperiousxxx Pls I nid info on how 2 register for GRE wit gtb master card in nigeria.tnx in anticipation.or mail me on richieontyme@yahoo.com
While it is somewhat a little more stressful to register by oneself, many people still prefer it due to the much reduced cost ($175 or N28,000) as compared to the prevailing agent cost of N40,000.
As for the online registration, ETS officially bans online registration for examinees testing in Nigeria. Some people, however, do maneuver their way and register online. You may stand the risk of having your result seized if discovered.
On the flip side, other registration options are available such as registration by phone, mail, and fax. I registered by mail through a cousin in Canada. If you have someone abroad to help you that will be fine. If you want to try the mail option, you'll have to follow these 2 simple steps:
- Download the registration form online, fill out and sign. Then scan it and e-mail to your relative abroad helping you out. They'll have to print it over there. If you're good with adobe reader you can fill and sign the form right there on your computer, just like I always do, without having to physically print first, fill, sign and scan again.
- Have your relative get a money order of the test registration fee ($175) from his bank abroad. He/she will then mail the printed registration form, together with the money order to the designated ETS centre covering Nigeria.
Note that money orders are not obtainable in Nigeria.
If you prefer phone registration, you'll first have to create an account online, they'll need your account details for the registration. Have your debit card details (card number, ccv, expiry date etc all embossed on the card) ready before you call them. Be sure to ensure that your card is activated/enabled for internet transactions/banking else it won't work.
There's also the fax method. I know little of it.

Does anyone know why a school would need a U.S address to process international applications? The school asked if I have any friends or family members in the U.S. that would let me use their address? Seems strange to me!
