Please help with your knowledge. Acura 09 TLX requires Premium Fuel , does it make sense to buy such car in Nigeria bearing there’s no premium fuel in the country (Modify) (Quote) (Report) (Share) |

ade95:Go ahead and buy! What we use in Nigeria is 'Premium Motor Spirit'. It's perfect for Acura 09 TLX. |

drakeskull: He is confusing the PMS sold in Nigeria for the required premium fuel for the Acura. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Philadelphia: 3:05pm On Dec 02, 2021 |
KelvinCoaster: PMS is the name of Petrol, however, it doesn’t guarantee that the PMS sold in Nigeria is of a good octane rating as required by the Acura for optimum performance. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Philadelphia: 3:05pm On Dec 02, 2021 |
KelvinCoaster: It’s not “perfect” for the Acura. It’s just okay for it. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Philadelphia: 3:10pm On Dec 02, 2021 |
ade95: You can go ahead and buy the car. You won’t have troubles as long as you buy petrol from reputable gas stations like Total, Mobil, AY Shafa, Rain Oil or any other renowned gas stations. My car requires premium unleaded fuel but I buy only from Total or Mobil and I have never had any issues or need to use Octane boosters. Drakeskull and Heavenlybang also use cars that require premium unleaded fuels too and they haven’t had any problems either. I think your worries should be more of body parts for your TLX 2 Likes 1 Share |

I drive a 2008 Honda Accord and it recently developed an issue. When I engage the gear in reverse or drive it makes a 'kpoom' sound and the engine vibrates for a split second. When moving it takes a while for the car to pick up speed and climbing a hill is now difficult.Someone suggested I check the engine seating, which I did.The engine seating is intact. What could be the problem? Good afternoon All… I just recently replaced my 02 sensor on a 2008 civic 1.8L. And only this stubborn code keeps popping up P0498 there by making my CEL stay on. And I don’t even know what to solve it once and for all |

Flames000: P0498 is your evap cannister. Did you get any work done on the car recently? Like change your throttle body or something? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 2:59pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
whyteone: Kindly scan the car and post the codes here if any. What kind of transmission fluid do you use? |

Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 5:28pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
Flames000: You need an expert mechanic to check it out. I know someone who can. Where is your location? |

Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 6:53pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
Flames000: Mine is Lagos. The Evap system is split into two . One is located inside the engine bay and the other is near the fuel tank under the car. It can be triggered by a number of things from a faulty wire , burnt out fuse, disconnected hose , clogged cannister etc. Try clearing the check engine light. If it returns immediately it means a fuse somewhere is bad but if it doesn't return immediately but only return when you have driven for a while at higher speeds then it means something is wrong with the Evap system somewhere. |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Flames000(m): 8:53pm On Dec 04, 2021 |
Collione: Thanks for your prompt responses. I tried clearing and it came back almost immediately once I turn of the Ignition and put it back on. Can you help me identify this fuse? Or what to look out for. |

Collione:Please how can i buy this scanner and how much? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 9:32am On Dec 05, 2021 |
Themi06: It's what I sell actually. #5k. You can DM me via 08124145301 if interested. It's always good to have. P.s because your transmission is involved , you need to scan your car with much bigger diagnostic tool than the one I'm selling. Those ones can scan transmission better. I'd also recommend that you stop driving the car for the time being. If you don't mind me asking, where is your location? |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 9:34am On Dec 05, 2021 |
Flames000: Just meet a good rewire to go through all the fuses in your car (engine bay fuse box and drivers left feet side fuse box). If he encounters a bad one let him replace it and not bridge it with a wire. 1 Like |
Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by Collione: 9:36am On Dec 05, 2021 |
mbahjohnpaul: Check your engine mounts . A broken engine mount won't be able to dampen vibrations. If it's so much on the steering, it's most likely the rear mount but check them all first. |
