Nairaland / General / Please Advice!!! by 9ja4Change(m): 4:45pm On Nov 03, 2015 |
I was posted to Dutse, Jigawa State for my mobilisation, but on getting to camp while registering, my fingerprints could not match the one on their data. I begged and appealed to them to reconsider and help me but to no avail. I was told by the camp officials that I only have to be re-mobilised for next batch!!! My predicament is, I don't know what to do coz an official told me I should wait until when next batch A are registering online to correct any abnormalities. I asked should I complain to my school to re-send my name? He said no, that my name is already on their portal. Am currently confused and don't know what to do! Please, can someone help? |

Politics / EXPOSED: How NSA Dasuki Took His Share Of The $5bn Defense Budget by 9ja4Change(m): 4:01pm On Jul 19, 2015 |
CLOSE NEWS POLITICS OPINION MY BLOG PRESS RELEASE SPECIAL REPORT ENTERTAINMENT WORLD AFFAIRS MORE FAITH LIFESTYLE VIDEO PHOTOS EXPOSED: How NSA Dasuki Took His Share of The $5Bn Defense Budget; The Okrika Drone That Crashed Feb 12, 2015 There is a massive billion dollars corruption on defense contracts perpetuated by Sambo Dasuki under the guise of purchasing military equipment for the armed forces. 1. He purchased refurbished MI Helicopters as new for the Nigerian Airforce from Belarus at the cost of $84 million per one which the market value is $15 million two have already crashed and killed the pilots. 2. He purchased a substandard UAV (Drones) from China at an exhorbitant price of $260 million as against a brand new UAV which was offered to Nigeria by Elbit Systems of Israel who are the pioneers and leading UAV Manufacturers in the world at a lower cost of $16.5 million per one and the Chinese UAV crashed on its maiden flight at Mafa village in Borno State. SEE: Nigeria Crashes Newly Purchased Droned from China? Pictures of Crashed Drone in Dumge, Borno 3. He purchased and install a Command and Control Centre in his office from an Israeli company called NICE at an exhorbitant price of $80 million which the market value is put at $15 million. His office is not an Operational Agency by law as it serves only as an advisory role to the Presidency on security and intelligence matters so he doesn’t need a Command and Control Centre and since its installation it has never worked. 4. He has done a deal with the Tchadian and Nigerien Governments to pay them cash to fight the Boko Haram on behalf of Nigeria which he collected huge amount of money and pay them peanuts. 5. The South African money for arms scandal These are the main reasons why Sambo Dasuki is scared stiff of Buhari’s Presidency and was also forced to play the psychopantic role he is playing now to save himself. http://abusidiqu.com/exposed-how-nsa-dasuki-took-his-share-of-the-5bn-defense-budget-the-okrika-drone-that-crashed/ 1 Like |

Politics / DSS Finally Redeploys Marilyn Oga To Borno Command And Control Center!!! by 9ja4Change(m): 8:35am On Jul 19, 2015 |
Even after the initial suspension of the redeployment of Marilyn Ogar, the erstwhile spokesperson of the Department of State Security Service (DSS), the Nigerian secret police has finally redeployed her to serve in the DSS component of the command and Control Centre in Borno. Last week the DSS had transferred Ogar to Maiduguri, but suspended the decision following insinuations that the transfer was “punitive.” But sources in the know said in another move, the agency redeployed Ogar to serve in the command and control centre of the security forces assembled to battle the Boko Haram group in the north east. Recall that President Buhari had during his inauguration speech ordered the relocation of the command and control centre of the forces fighting Boko haram for effective coordination. In a similar exercise, the agency ordered the reverse of the promotion of about 100 officers carried out by his predecessor, Ekpeyong Ita, and approved by the Jonathan administration. It was gathered that the officers, who had suffered stagnation for years and promoted by Ita are mostly those who put their lives on the line for the nation and were engaged in deadly operations. “Among them were those that took part in joint operations with the military and police personnel in Operation Zaman Lafiya (war against Boko Haram), those who were engaged in special security operations in the Presidential Villa and other special duties in several trouble spots in the country”, a source said. A source said the new DG has directed that, henceforth, only officers who attended promotion examinations would be elevated. The source added: “But we were on joint operations duty and, at a point, they banned officers from moving out of operational areas to read and carry out promotion examinations. So who is to blame? We can still go for post promotion training if the DG insists and that would be a better option than this demotion.” http://abusidiqu.com/dss-finally-redeploys-marilyn-oga-to-borno-command-and-control-center-demote-100-operatives/ |
Politics / PMB Disappoints Lobbyists, Appoints Gana As New NSCDC Boss by 9ja4Change(m): 7:26am On Jul 18, 2015 |
It was celebration galore yesterday at the national headquarters of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), following President Muhammadu Buhari’s appointment of Abdullahi Mohammed Gana as successor to retired Commandant General of the corps, Prof Ade Abolurin. LEADERSHIP Weekend gathered that until his appointment, the Niger State-born Abdullahi Gana, one of those groomed by his predecessor, started as a volunteer till 2003 when the Act establishing the corps was enacted. He was an Assistant Commandant General in-charge of procurement at the national headquarters of the corps and was picked based on merit, transparency and integrity. Hundreds of civil defenders, including the outgone Abolurin, Deputy Commandant Generals (DCGs), ACGs, Commandants, among other supporters of the in-house appointment trooped out with tears of joy rolling down their cheeks to celebrate the corps’ victory over attempt by lobbyists to clinch the NSCDC’s topmost position. The civil defenders had stormed Algiers Streets Cadastral Zone, Wuse Zone 5 at about 12:30pm, waving their hands to the heavens and chanting pro-Civil Defence slogans in a victory march along the major streets, before converging at the NSCDC Chapel for a special thanksgiving service and prayers. They expressed joy that their hard-earned and celebrated achievements would be sustained. Speaking at the service, an elated outgone Prof Abolurin who stepped aside after serving the corps for two consecutive tenures of five years each from July 17, 2005 till yesterday, July 17 2015, invoked divine wisdom and blessings on Gana. He dedicated their victory and the in-house selection Commandant General of the corps to God. He said, “I asked God to bless and honour our desire, give us again this leadership position so that we can impact more on our nation, through effective carrying out of our ordained mandates and He answered us. This victory is for Nigeria.” SOURCE: http://leadership.ng/news/447844/pmb-disappoints-lobbyists-appoints-gana-as-new-nscdc-boss |

Politics / Why Buhari Sacked NIMASA DG by 9ja4Change(m): 6:34pm On Jul 17, 2015 |
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday terminated the appointment of Mr. Patrick Ziakede Akpobolokemi as Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA). The termination of Mr. Akpobolokemi’s appointment takes immediate effect, Femi Adesina, spokesperson for the President said in a statement. The former NIMASA DG was directed to hand over to the management of NIMASA and all government property in his possession to the most senior officer in the agency who will remain in charge until a new Director-General is appointed. The sack of Akpobolemi whose tenure at the Nigeria’s apex maritime regulatory agency has been riddled with controversies has long been expected. Under the leadership of the former University lecturer, NIMASA had also become a major source of slush funds for carrying out discreet endeavors and initiatives at the behest of the administration of former President Jonathan. The NIMASA DG was said to be the main sponsor of series of television documentaries through which hate and false messages about key opposition figures, including President Muhammadu Buhari, the then candidate of All Progressives Congress were dished out to Nigerians in the run up to 2015 general elections. Akpolobemi has also been in the news over various allegations of contracts racketeering, nepotism and mismanagement of NIMASA since his appointment. Just recently, a bid advertisement by NIMASA for the Sand filling of NIMASA Shipyard/Dockyard at Okerenkoko, Delta state generated controversies. Reports indicated that contracts for the construction of Shipbuilding/Dockyard have already been awarded and 15 percent mobilization has been paid to the contractors last year. According to a newspaper report, the groundbreaking for the construction of the N58 billion project was done by former President Goodluck Jonathan on May 2014. The selection of Akpobolokemi to head cash rich NIMASA in 2010 was considered one of the most controversial appointments made by former President Jonathan. Critics argued that the appointment of the former University lecturer, an Ijaw man like the former President was tinged with nepotism as Akpobolokemi did not possess the necessary qualifications to occupy the office of DG of NIMASA as stated in Sections 6 & 7 of the Act establishing the agency. The Act had stipulated that the the DG of NIMASA should possess “relevant experience and capacity applicable to maritime administration, recognized expert knowledge, qualification and experience in one or more of the following fields. As spelt out by the Act, the fields are maritime safety, maritime security, maritime pollution, nautical sciences and hydrographic and maritime engineering, finance, marine law, transport logistics, administration and marine labour. It was believed that Akpobolokemi was nominated for appointment by a group of former Niger Delta militants led by Government Ekpemupolo, otherwise known as Tompolo to capture the cash rich agency. True to this suspicion, Tompolo became a regular face in the agency soon after Akpobolokemi’s appointment. Sources told this magazine that the NIMASA usually picks the hotel and other bills of the ex Niger Delta militant whenever he visited Lagos with his large entourage. The frequent visit later culminated in a multi billion naira contracts awarded to Global West Vessel Specialists Nigeria Limited (GWVSNL) a company owned by the former militant for provision of platforms for security of the nation’s waterways, Ships & Ports in 2011. The former NIMASA DG had claimed that the initiative was a Public Private Partnership arrangement with the company owned by Tompolo. The contract worth $103.4 million (over N15 billion) was to supply 20 vessels for the use of the nation’s military authorities to secure the waterways. Jonathan, had in a memo dated 9 November 2011, with reference number PRES/99/MT/61, approved the contract, which the Federal Executive Council rubber-stamped on 5 January 2012. NIMASA maintains that the concessionaire would help the federal government to enforce the sabotage law and collect levies on its behalf. It was reported in December 2014 that Tompolo had acquired seven decommissioned Norwegian battleships as part of the contract. A probe by the House of Representatives Ad-Hoc Committee investigating the Cabotage Vessel Financing Fund, CVFF in 2014 has indicted that the management of NIMASA over the $326million payment to Global West. But analysts had argued that the contract under which Tompolo was able to acquire sophisticated boats for patrol of Nigerian waters amounted to the former President handing out the security of the nation’s entire maritime domain to his kinsman under the guise of public-private-partnership (PPP). The argument was that government would have channeled the money paid to GWVSNL to strengthen the Navy and Marine Police to secure the nation’s waterways. Operators and stakeholders in the Nigerian maritime industry had also questioned the rationale behind the concession of the nation’s maritime security to a private company, especially one linked to a former militant. It was gathered that President Jonathan had ordered the stoppage of payments to Global West few days ago. The blockade of gas export by Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) by NIMASA over disagreement in revenue payment resulted in huge export losses for the firm and billions of naira in revenue to Nigeria. However, President Jonathan turned deaf ears to the allegations of mismanagement and corruption that trailed Akpobolokemi to re-appoint him in October 2014 for another five year tenure which was cut short by his sack on Thursday.
