Politics / Why Jonathan’s ‘rest’ Is Dangerous For Us All by 9ja4Change(m): 11:41am On Aug 31, 2014
Nigeria is an interesting country where absurdity thrives and impunity holds court, unchallenged and unmolested. She is probably the only country where, literally is at war, her so-called leaders can rest easy with their feet up, relaxed as if there is not a care in the world. I am still at sea, wondering if there is any nation on the earth that can move on, unperturbed after several damning allegations of financial impropriety ranging from the missing $20bn, to several billions of naira stolen from pension funds, to billions spent by female ministers either on spurious bullet proof cars, fueling private jets etc. Indeed, Nigeria is a conundrum where the more you see, the less you understand.
Welcome to the land of savage and crude criminal appropriation of obscene national wealth by a few at the expense of the majority, millions of whom can barely afford to live from hand to mouth on less than $2 a day.

For over 5 years, Nigeria has been at war with the Jama’atu Ahlis SunnaLidda’awati wal-Jihad, a sect called Boko Haram in the local Hausa parlance, roughly translated as” book or western education is sin.” But as it appears, the sect is gaining the upper hand and has recently moved from being clandestine bush attackers to the position where they now have territories within the country. They have not only captured a chunk of Borno and Yobe states, they have also hoisted their flags and even appointed an Emir.

The sound bites coming from the Nigerian authorities are, at best, confusing. They started with denial, then came tepid acknowledgement to the point where they are now claiming they won’t cede any territory to terrorists. What the Nigerian authority have failed to show is how exactly they intend to put their empty rhetoric into concrete actions, because while they are making empty boasts and promises,Boko Haram is spreading their evil and extremely bloody tentacles far and wide.

Had Boko Haram been tackled with the seriousness it deserves from the onset, we may not have been where we are today. Sadly, the attitude of the Nigerian authority to dither and wobble in the face of serious issue, instead of taking a strong stand and following through with equal actions has been our bane.

When the sect was still small and not as sophisticated as they are today, rather than take action, the authority pretended as if they had it covered while hoping it will fizzle out, like some Nigerian problems sometimes do. Today, we are all the worse for it. When supposed leaders are inept and incompetent, this is what you get. A visionary leadership ought to have braced up and taken concise action, most especially in the face of global terrorism that had bedeviled our world. Alas! The Nigerian leadership went to sleep until it has become too late and now no Nigerian citizen can sleep easy anymore!

Most parts of the north have experienced one bomb blast or another, even Lagos had been attacked at least once, with several attempts purportedly foisted. How did we get here? Our president is at rest.

Just a few days ago Nigerians woke up to the news of the president “private” visit to Germany. No explanation, nothing. In fact, if you make too much noise, you are deemed an opposition, aka Enemy of the State. What the president and his inept bunch of handlers fail to understand is that Nigerians have the right to ask questions concerning their president. How private can his visit be if he traveled with a delegation and on a “public” presidential jet, fueled and serviced by tax payers? How private can his visit to Germany be if his retinue of aides collects per diems, financed by the tax payers? Until the leadership of this country understands responsibility, they will keep moving from one gaffe to another disaster. Nigeria is NOT a private estate to be privately administered; it is a country with laws and responsibility.

The president’s spokesman, Reuben Abati, another person who has been a total disappointment since he was appointed a presidential spokesman, went further to prove to Nigerians how far from reality they all are, when he told us that the president was not sick, rather he went on a private visit and as such we have no right to know? How jejune? The president is a public figure, elected by the people and therefore owes a duty and responsibility to the public. All his actions and inactions must be open to public scrutiny while he remains in the office. His power is derived from the people, not in spite of the people.

It is lackadaisical and irresponsible attitude like the above that has fueled the insurgency and corruption that pervaded the land of Nigeria and has pushed us to the brink that we are today. Corruption is a hydra-headed monster and has the potency to consume and devastate any land or people that welcomes it with an open arm. While corruption is a worldwide phenomenon, the problem with Nigeria is twofold. Firstly, the impunity and scale of corruption is largely unprecedented and secondly, there appears to be no consequence. In fact, the joke in Nigeria now is to steal very much as you are likely to be praised and even conferred with national honour and traditional titles. Yes, it is that bad.

Gamboru and Gworza are territories within the north eastern part of Nigeria. Sadly, those places are currently in the hand of terrorists. It was reported that the terrorists were so superior to the Nigerian Army that about 480 of our men fled to Cameroon. Whether they defected is unclear. However, instead of the military authorities to be ashamed and seek better ways to counter terrorism, they resorted to cheap propaganda and outright lies, culminating in the phrase “tactical maneuver”. Recall how the same military authority had earlier lied to the world that they have recovered about 85% of the Chibok girls earlier, only for them to recant and give flimsy excuse when they were confronted with hard facts?

When a national military descends into the arena of “roforofo” and market women propaganda in the face of serious challenge, then it is time to be very afraid indeed. How can a military that can’t defend our territorial integrity against a largely untrained rag tag band of supporter of APC criminals, be able to defend us against a sophisticated and more structured foreign aggression? One hope that we do not have ambitious foreign army willing to take on Nigeria, because as things stand, we are mere sitting ducks to a band of jihadists and religious criminals.

Trillions have been allocated to national security and especially in the face of the threats of these insurgents, more money have been allocated to security than ever, yet the insurgency mounts, while our military appear weak, inept and reactionary. Poor or lack of intelligence gathering, no proactive plan to dispel and dislodge the terrorists, reports of poor funding and inferiors arms and military hardware are what we hear daily. Rather than address these issues, the military high command prefers to make empty statements, defend the indefensible and pretend to be in control. How long can we sustain lies and propaganda in the face of such monumental threats?

I will expect the National Assembly to investigate claims of senior military commanders profiting from the war against terror. By now, some people should be answering questions on how the trillions allocated to security are being spent. Recall how some equipment that ought to fire, refused to fire during the Giwabarrack attack? Yet, not one question have been asked. The insurgents are so bold that they overrun military installations, police barracks and recently entered a police college almost unchallenged, killing and maiming anybody on their way. Yet nobody is being questioned, rather we pretend all is well and move on, but for how long?

The president is the Commander In Chief and the buck stops at his table. Going to rest or on a “private” visit to Germany when the nation burns is nothing short of abdication of responsibility. All we can we see today is preparation for the next election while money is being thrown around for the 2015 elections without recourse to the human lives and properties being destroyed daily in the northeast. It is asinine to think all is well since it is “far away” in “awusa” land. What we fail to grasp is that ISIS is on a similar campaign and be sure if they aren’t already in collaboration with Boko Haram, they will be soon. The consequence of such is better left to the imagination.
This is not the time for unnecessary “private” visits, we are at war, yet pretend all is well. As I write, there is no “War Room”, no definite strategy nor plan to combat terror, what we can see is a confused, jumbled and incoherent reactionaries to a serious security challenge. We can’t win a war without a concise plan to. We can’t win a war on lies. We can’t win a war when corruption defines us. It is best the president wakes up and smells the coffee, or he quits. Napoleon Bonaparte, Winston Churchill etc didn’t become legends by surrounding themselves with propagandists; they took charge and did what they ought to do.

Jonathan either emulates real leaders and make a name for himself in the annals of history or continue to play the ostrich. The choice is his. Come February 2015, that choice will be ours.

Surely no one is in power, so boko haram is filling the void!

Nigerians, please be wise with your votes in the coming elections. If there is still a Nigeria in 2015, Jonathan is the least competent to rule over it and all indices shows the authorities in Abuja know who are the real boko haram sponsors, coz only those in authority have the powers to starve and ill-equip our security forces. Jonathan should be taken to the ICC after he must have lost next year.

Politics / Jonathan’s Chief Boko Haram Negotiator Implicates SAS, Ihejirika As BH Sponsors by 9ja4Change(m): 6:06am On Aug 29, 2014
In the AriseTv interview of August 28th, 2014, Dr. Stephen Davis a chief Boko Haram negotiator hired by the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to engage the terrorists to help free the abducted Chibok 234 Angels, made several important revelations. [Listen to Davis audio/video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2QnEiE9CH8]

Dr. Davis clearly stated that the former governor of Borno state, Ali Modu Sheriff has been sponsoring the terrorist group for so many years and it defeats the imagination why the Goodluck administration has refused to arrest him; and why even the EFCC has not gone after him for his immeasurable corruption.

Jonathan’s chief negotiator, Dr. Davis further revealed that the former Chief of Army staff, General Ihejirika was also a clear-cut sponsor of the terrorist group.

A third important point the President’s negotiator posited was that there was no way the terror in Nigeria could be ended if the sponsors remained free. In essence, as the President of Nigeria continued to dine and dance with these known people including other politicians, mostly from the north, Boko Haram will clearly continue to kill and destroy Nigerians in the north.

On January 15th of this year I penned a strong and unapologetic, widely read article pressing or rather begging for the President of Nigeria to arrest Ali Modu Sheriff, SAS. [Arrest Senator Ali Modu Sheriff aka SAS Now: http://ends.ng/?p=460] In the article, on behalf of Nigeria, I begged the President to arrest this known Boko Haram founder. Rather than arrest him, Nigeria’s president pulled him closer like a sibling and gave him unprecedented access to further terrorize the people of Borno and Nigeria at large. The President of Nigeria opened the Borno airport, closed for Borno citizens and for Hajj operations; for Ali Modu Sheriff to land in Borno in grand style. Note- Goodluck Jonathan in August of 2012 defended Boko Haram as “his siblings” and stated that them being his family, was why he refused Nigerians demands for him to send the army to crush them. In response, the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN told him to resign, [See: http://ends.ng/?p=1322]

Borno youth Civilian JTF who I represent have pursued sponsors of Boko Haram like Modu Sheriff, attempting to burn their houses; but the Nigerian President has protected them when they run to him in Abuja, unable to remain in Borno. This has been sheer terror to our people.

As President Jonathan’s chief negotiator, Dr Stephen Davis said, unless the President of Nigeria arrests these sponsors, terror will continue. In effect, by leaving the sponsors free to continue to perpetrate their terror, Nigeria’s President is himself directly implicated in sponsoring Boko Haram and should be arrested and tried for our deaths.

As relates to retired Chief of Army Staff, General Ihejirika who Jonathan’s negotiator, Stephen Davis also clearly implicated as a Boko Haram sponsor; I am not privy to the information Davis has. Stephen Davis said that several Boko Haram commanders implicated these men as their sponsors and as the ones who ordered targeted assassinations of Nigerians.

Importantly, there is no single Nigerian who can deny the role of the Nigerian military Chiefs since Ihejirika’s time of directly and indirectly promoting Boko Haram terror. We have had too many reports to ignore of the army conveniently being ordered to pullout hours or days before Boko Haram terror attacks. Too many! The liability for these treacherous crimes of the army rests on the COAS’s feet.

On May 8th of 2013, when we could no longer take it as Boko Haram gained control of over 20 Local Governments in Borno and the COAS Ihejirika did nothing, I was invited to join an international think-tank and we released a very important article in Nigeria’s history. “Nigeria At War,” [http://newsrescue.com/nigeria-at-war/#axzz3Bk6TvnE0]In the article we described how the Nigerian army under Ihejirika and ultimately President Jonathan, the C-in-C was deliberately sabotaging the war against Boko Haram and we prescribed the need for urgent steps including the declaration of a State of Emergency and the immediate drafting of battalions to the north. It can be recalled that after this article went viral on the media, Nigeria’s President cut his trip to Namibia and ran to Nigeria and days later, finally declared a State of Emergency in the northeast and sent Brigades up north.

Boko Harm today is armed with ammunition from the Nigerian military stock, they freely drive APC’s and tanks from the Nigerian military; it goes without saying that the past and current Generals and Chiefs of the army are benefitting largely from Boko Haram carnage and undermine the arming of Nigeria’s soldiers allowing them to be sitting ducks for Boko Haram terrorists to prolong the war and the genocide in Nigeria’s north. The army is responsible for protecting the vehicles and ammunition they took up north. Rather they allow Boko Haram to seize these easily and never bomb them from the sky when they drive in convoys in Nigeria’s military vehicles.

General Ihejirika’s was known to have discretely pulled together a powerful army who were not even told their mission, and rapidly sent them to ambush and capture and kill kidnappers who were destroying his home state of Abia, but when his duty was to protect the people of Borno and the northeast, he suddenly became handicapped… the General was reported by so many military soldiers including top army commanders who complained bitterly that the COAS only gave the soldiers one or two rounds of ammunition and opposed the drafting of the military when they requested and argued for more troops. These moves allowed Boko Haram to easily kill Nigeria’s soldiers and overrun the military barracks, obtaining all the weapons and tools in store.

It is important to remind Nigeria that Stephen Davis, in the past has fingered former NSA, Spy Aliyu Gusau in the success of Boko Haram. [See news September 11, 2011: http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2011/09/14/why-the-terrorists-are-winning-in-nigeria/] Surprisingly, President Jonathan hired the very Gusau as Nigeria’s minister of defense, bringing him too close as his “sibling.”

Nigerians wait to see what the action of Nigeria’s weak, clueless and terror facilitator President will do in response to the revelations of this negotiator employed by his government. It is also time international parties assist Nigerians trapped under this terror regime.

Politics / How To Defeat Boko Haram by 9ja4Change(m): 11:00pm On Aug 27, 2014
The Boko Haram terrorist movement released a latest video to update Nigeria on its current status. In it, it claimed the formation of a nonsensical caliphate, plagiarising from the concurrently running operations of fellow loony ISIS terrorists in Iraq and Syria.

In the 40-minute video released by the usual publicists, only one important message and piece of information was of note: Boko Haram is scared of the Civilian-JTF. The man who spoke in the video, claiming to be Abubakar Shekau – the serially replaced leader figure – sounded several “warnings” to the Civilian-JTF, literally begging them (us as I feel a part of their association with their permission) to leave the terrorists alone. “Shekau” repeatedly threatened to kill us for slaughtering his men in hundreds. He even went as far as describing the process in which the Civilian-JTF professionally screens which of his members to kill. Shekau said: “You ask of them which of them has blood on their hands; which of them has actually killed people and all those who admit to having murdered you humiliate and kill them.”

This is not the first time that in new videos the only enemy and threat “Shekau” warns is the Civilian-JTF. In his video release after the Giwa Barracks attacks, Shekau similarly made no mention of the Nigerian army, but only promised fire and brimstone on the Civilian-JTF. In this recent video, “Shekau” said he would kill us whether we continue to kill his men or not, so funny, he said he would “kill us, the Civilian-JTF as a prevention of our later becoming infidels.” Rather desperate, angry and senseless.

In summary, the Nigerian Army are Boko Haram’s friends. I do respect them a lot and appreciate the ultimate sacrifice they are making, but the truth is the truth. The Nigerian government has completely succeeded in embezzling all the funds needed to maintain the great army Nigeria is known for. Our troops are sent to battle Boko Haram, ill-equipped, hungry, unmotivated and unsupported. This is why they are deserting the army in hundreds and fleeing to Cameroon when they are close enough to the border. It is not their fault. Why should they die when the executive leadership protects and dines with the politician sponsors of terror? When the Jonathan administration in five years of limitless terror, has not apprehended and punished a single politician terror sponsor? Boko Haram loves the Nigerian Army, whoever watched the latest video will see once again the glee with which the terrorists received new loads of Nigerian ammunition from stores the Nigerian Army ran and left behind. Yes, the terrorists easily pick up the APCs, tanks and ammunition from the army. They no longer need to import their “sophisticated” weapons from Libya, they get it freely from the stashes Lt. Gen. Minimah sent to Borno. Shekau literally said, “Thanks Minimah” in his latest video.

F or now, the only way to defeat Boko Haram is for us people to rise up and PUSH the President to approve the acquisition of arms by civilians, hunters, farmers and community patriots in the affected northeast, so they can continue destroying the cowardly Boko Haram. It is paradoxical, the Nigerian Army is afraid of Boko Haram while Boko Haram is afraid of the Civilian-JTF. The members of the Civilian-JTF have the motivation, courage and rightful anger that make them the only resort Nigeria has to defeat Boko Haram; as well as being masters of the terrain.
Politics / The DH Has Said The Presence Of Nigeria Troops In Cameroon is tactical manoeuvre by 9ja4Change(m): 7:14pm On Aug 25, 2014
The Nigerian Defence headquarters on Monday clarified issues concerning Nigerian troops who found themselves in Cameroon during fierce battle with terrorists.

BBC reports that Some 480 Nigerian soldiers have fled into Cameroon following fierce fighting with Boko Haram militants, Cameroon’s army has said. Army spokesman Lt Col Didier Badjek said the soldiers had been disarmed and were now being accommodated in schools.

In a post on its website Defence headquarters said “the Nigerian troops that were found in Cameroun was as a result of a sustained battle between the troops and the terrorists around the borders with Cameroun which saw the Nigerian troops charging through the borders in a tactical maneuver. “Eventually they found themselves on Camerounian soil. Being allies the normal protocol of managing such incident demanded that the troops submit their weapons in order to assure the friendly country that they were not on a hostile mission.
“Following necessary discussions between Nigerian and Camerounian military authorities, the issues have been sorted out. Subsequently, the troops are on their way back to join their unit in Nigeria.

“The reference to the incidence as a defection is therefore not appropriate considering the discussion between the two countries’ military leadership and the series of contacts with the soldiers who have confirmed that they are safe.

Politics / Boko Haram Creates ‘islamic Caliphate’ From Captured Towns In Northern Nigeria by 9ja4Change(m): 5:31pm On Aug 24, 2014
Islamist terrorist group, Boko Haram, has claimed a part of Nigeria and proclaimed that it is creating an Islamic Caliphate in the seized portion. This was contained in a new video released by the insurgents today.

“Thanks be to Allah who gave victory to our brethren in Gwoza and made it part of the Islamic Caliphate,” Boko Haram leader, Abubakar Shekau said in the 52-minute video.

He went further to declare that, henceforth, Gwoza, in Borno state, has “nothing to do with Nigeria”.

“By the grace of Allah we will not leave the town. We have come to stay,” said Shekau, who has been designated a global terrorist by the United States and sanctioned by the UN Security Council.

Nigeria’s military has spoken of plans to launch an attack to take back Gwoza and other towns captured by the terrorists.

The areas believed to be under the control of Boko Haram include towns near Gwoza in southern Borno, as well as large swathes of territory in northern Borno and at least one town in neighbouring Yobe state and another in Adamawa state.

Experts have described Boko Haram’s gains in recent weeks as unprecedented, saying the group was closer than ever to achieving its goal of carving out a strict Islamic state across northern Nigeria.

But many analysts believe the military has the capacity to reverse the insurgents’ advance.

Soldiers this week refused to deploy to Gwoza without better weapons in an apparent mutiny.

Politics / Group Wants SSS Spokesperson Interrogated Over N14 Million Bribery Allegation by 9ja4Change(m): 3:20pm On Aug 20, 2014
An anti-corruption group, Civil Society Network Against Corruption, CSNAC has called on the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC to investigate the claims credited to Marilyn Ogar, the SSS Spokesperson, that operatives of the SSS, were offered N14 million during the just concluded Osun gubernatorial election. Ogar, had last week, accused an unnamed political party of attempting to bribe two of the agency’s operatives with N14 million to help them subvert the electoral process.

The group, a coalition of over 150 anti-corruption organizations, said that the act is an offence punishable under the corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000. In a petition dated August 18, 2014, and addressed to the Chairman, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, the group demanded that the SSS Spokesperson be invited for questioning. The SSS Spokesperson had also angered civil society activists after she blamed the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the spate of bombings across Nigeria, according to reports from Premium Times.

“Last week Thursday, 14th August 2014, marks a turning point in the operation, perception and integrity of Nigeria’s security agencies, with the highly controversial assertions of the loquacious Director of the State Security Service,” the anti-corruption group stated in the petition signed by Olanrewaju Suraju, its Chairman. “In the condemnable practice of conducting intelligence operations in the public space, the SSS Director has severally exposed the agency to public opprobrium with her gaffe and politicization of serious security issues in the country. This obviously, is antithetical to the primary responsibilities of the agency. “At a media presentation, convened to review the role of security personnels in the just concluded August 9 gubernatorial election in Osun State, Ms. Ogar ignominiously descended into the political arena with jab of several allegations against the opposition party, an act reminiscence of the country’s unethical political parties tantrum throwing,” Mr. Suraju added.

In their petition, CSNAC stated that Section 9 of the ICPC Act stipulates a seven year imprisonment for any person found guilty of bribing or attempting to bribe a public officer. “According to Section 9 of the Act; Any person who corruptly – (a) gives, confers or procure any property or benefit of any kind to, on or for a public officer or to, on or for any other person; or (b) promises or offer to give, confers, procures or attempts to procure any property or benefit of any kind to, on or for a public officer or any other person, on account of any such act, omission, favour or disfavor to be done or shown by the public officer is guilty of an Offence of official corruption and shall on conviction be liable to imprisonment for seven (7) years,” the petition read.

“In the light of the above provisions in Section 9(a) and (b) above, a prima facie case of offer and inducement attempt can be established. It is therefore the demand of this organisation that your commission, as a matter urgency, invite Ms. Marilyn Ogar for necessary interrogation, to identify the personalities behind the self-confessed bribe offer. “Under the Act in reference, failure to report this case to an officer of the Commission or Police Offer is already an Offence; Section 23 (1) any public offer to whom any gratification is given, promised or offered in contravention of any provision of this Act, shall report such gift, promise or offer, together with the name, if known, of the person who gave, promised or offered such gratification to him to the nearest officer of the Commission or a Police Officer. (3) Any person who fails, without reasonable excuse, to comply with subsection (1) and (2) shall be guilty of an Offence and on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one hundred thousand Naira or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two (2) years or to both fine and imprisonment,” the petition added.
Politics / Boko Haram: Soldiers Mutiny, Demand Better Equipment by 9ja4Change(m): 4:18pm On Aug 19, 2014
A group of soldiers in north-eastern Nigeria is refusing to fight Boko Haram militants until they receive better equipment, one of the mutineers has told the BBC.

The soldier, who requested anonymity, said at least 40 of his colleagues would refuse orders to deploy.

The military has not commented on the reported mutiny or the demands.

A state of emergency that was declared in three north-eastern states last year has failed to curb the insurgency.

Boko Haram has stepped up its attacks after being pushed out of its bases in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state, targeting towns and villages in deadly raids.

“Soldiers are dying like fowl,” the soldier, who said he and his colleagues were just outside Maiduguri, told the BBC service.

“The Nigerian army is not ready to fight Boko Haram,” he said, explaining that soldiers were not being given enough weapons and ammunition to take them on.

“Boko Haram are inside the bush, everywhere,” he said “They [senior commanders] are sacrificing soldiers,” he said.

Even the vehicles the soldiers were expected to use were old armoured cars that were not up to the job, he added.

A general in the army, who asked not to be named, told the BBC that he was unable to confirm the mutiny, but said “cowardice” was not uncommon in times of war – and any mutineers would be punished.

When the solder was asked if he feared being court-martialled for taking part in the mutiny, he said that a soldier could only be taken to task for refusing to go to war.

“I joined the army to defend my country”, but you cannot defend it without being equipped to do so, he said.

In April, Boko Haram caused global outrage by abducting more than 200 girls from a boarding school in the remote town of Chibok in Borno state.

The group has also carried out a wave of bombings and assassinations, including that of moderate Muslim leaders opposed to its ideology.

Politics / Re: ‘why Igbo Should Produce Lagos Deputy Gov In 2015’ by 9ja4Change(m): 12:51pm On Aug 18, 2014
padeolu: LoLing so hard, Igbo, Deputy Governor in Yoruba Land...Lol.. xx... Wonders shall never end. Ti sigidi ba fe te, a ni ki wo n gbe oun l'odo. LoL. Maybe the Igbo should contest for governorship first in Kano since they seem to dominate the state also, maybe from we may consider them for deputy governor office assistant in Alausa, Ikeja.

Dont mind them, common to own a shop or property in Igbo land is a no-go area for non Igbos, but they enjoyed the many privileges from other regions of Nigeria. Now they want to hold political office in Kano, Lagos, Kaduna etc. Well, as for me, they should reciprocate what other regions have done to them first (e.g. allowing non Igbos to at least own even ONE shop in Onitsha Market etc) before we can now move to other sphere of live. They insult us, call us names, but yet cannot leave our lands alone. Who is more of a parasite now? Nonsense

HarrveySpecter: Cool. I like the fact that most of the schools in the south have some sort of connection to the world. And go for competition in other countries and relate with people from other schools internationally. Only gives them that much exposure, that will go a long way.
We way school for north, na just boko.
Go for lecture - read - pass exam
And the cycle starts again. Very little exposure.

Nice job they did.

Keyamo just stated the obvious. This confab is just a waste of tax payers money and an avenue to settle some retired old thieves.

Just recently they tried to smuggled a new draft constitution into the report, thank God not all the members are hypocritical sycophants who will sell the future of Nigeria before they die (most are very old and some have even started dying even before the confab finish). All this nonsense makes a sensible sane person ask, who gave this illegal gathering the constitutional right to draft a constitution? What then is the role of the National Assembly, who collect millions or 1/3 of Nigeria's budget? In a real world, this alone can jettison GEJ's real motive of taking the country on a ride, but alas, this is 9ja where everything is only seen based on tribal, religion or ethnical myopic sentiment.

The fund wasted on this jamboree is enough to build even boreholes in some villages and that gesture alone is enough to change the lives of thousands of people. If we say Ebola Jonathan, sorry, Ebere Jonathan is clueless and daft, his kinsmen and follow-follow supporters go dey complain......

Ekans: During Sanusis last lap as CBN governor, it was a tale of crucify him, now a capitalist minded CBN governor (Emefie?) is out to strangle the common man.Yesterday it was gradual devaluation of the naira (forex rate has hit the roof), today it is re-introduction of ATM charges, tomorrow does not look bright.I think we will come to regret all we did to Sanusi because of religion, politics and ethnicity.

That's 9ja's major problem, always using religion and tribe to judge someone, more especially if the person is from the northern part!!! This is just the beginning. May God save us. Missing HRH SLS

My brother, the north have always been known for it's "religious insurgency", the ousted governor of Adamawa,Nyako, you remember him shouting that Jonathan was commiting genocide. Infact, he was asked to read it and he did, who is our enemy?
1. Is it Boko Haram or Jonathan?
2. In the face of war against insurgency, can you count-out the possibility of "collateral damage"? I don't like certain things about Jonathan's administration, but he is far fairer than the best Northern administration.

U still ddnt answer my questions. Ur blind ethnic bigotry will never allow u see anytin gud about past leaders.

But I still maintained they are far better than this clueless leadership which promote and grant pardon to criminals, apart from hundreds being killed and massacred daily! Even during Abacha's rule, with all the sanctions imposed on Nigeria, its still not as bad as it is now. Its either u r still a kid or not born when this people ruled. Seems the only rule u can attest to is GEJ's rule.

Wait !!! I didn't say APC as a party is sponsoring terrorism, but the Northern elite. Do you know how many Northern elite that have openly said they will make Nigeria "ungovernable"?
Do you know that if you should use such language in any part of the world that you will be tried for treason?
But then, Jonathan ignored it, just to give peace a chance and that is what North is calling weakness. Don't be deceived the founder of Boko Haram is from Borno state, and so is there followers.
The parents in the North don't deserve any blame, who allow there children to be used, the state government what have they been doing with all their revenues ?
You can't fail an exam and then, the next person to blame will be your father.
NOTE: I don't like Jonathan, but he is far better than the Northerners.

Can you make any reference (I mean with hard evidence, either by a reputable news outlet or means and not hearsay) where anybody said he would make GEJ's rule ungovernable? All we hear are just hearsay and rumours that so so person says this and that. Its just an excuse GEJ and his clueless sycophants use for their failures and ineptitude.

I know Boko Haram exist, but the Boko Haram we are witnessing now is not the first Boko Haram of Yusuf, but a political Boko Haram created to cause havoc to a particular section of the Country.

Would you set fire on your house on your OWN house simply because your neighbour happens to be the leader of your Community? It even sounds so ridiculous.

NOTE: I dont like former Presidents, but they are far more better than GEJ..... At least we sleep with two eyes closed during their time
