Jobs/Vacancies / Reasons Why Employers Tend To Adopt Age Limitation On Most Jobs by abdulDeAnalyst(m): 7:07am On May 15, 2021
Age Limitation is now a serious problem every Nigerian graduate will have to face in securing a job. Nowadays, most organizations usually look for graduates of age not more 24-28 years to occupy vacant posts in their various establishments.
Consider finishing your degree program at 28, after NYSC, your chances of securing a well paid job is greatly reduced. You will come to realize there are so many jobs you can't apply for because of the age limits placed on them. Some graduates have been searching for jobs for years and still have not secured any, but their age is increasing. The question is "will these people remain jobless forever?"

Some might have been within the range during their undergraduate years, but due to strike actions and other unforeseen situations like the corona virus pandemic, more years add up and thus their age might eventually be above the limit for most jobs. Only very few graduates are usually very lucky to cross this age barrier.
undecidedThe painful part is that a lot of graduates who are young at heart and well fitted for the job are always harmed by this discrimination.

Most establishments assume it is not always worth the added time and cost of interviewing more candidates.
1. Most establishments usually adopt the age limitation to regulate the number of applicants. Due to the level of unemployment in Nigeria, the number of applicants for most advertised vacancies are always dozen times the actual number of vacant positions. And a large number will be qualified for the job on the long run.

2. Young employees who are single tend to put in more efforts and spend more hours at work because they have no families to tend to. Some companies also prefer employing young graduates because they tend to be more intuitive, fast in learning, more flexible and more adaptive to change.

3. As most employers would assume, younger employees can cope with less pay as their demand is lower compared to older ones.

The painful part is that a lot of graduates who are young at heart and well fitted for the job are always harmed by this discrimination.

Most establishments assume it is not always worth the added time and cost of interviewing more candidates.

Jobs/Vacancies / The Most Reliable Source Of Income That Helped Me Pay All My Bills On Campus by abdulDeAnalyst(m): 5:13pm On May 10, 2021
Shortly before resumption of school activities this year, various thoughts ran through my mind. All I could see is a tough semester ahead as I have no funds and things were really hard for my mum.
When I reflected back to previous years when I do go to school with appreciable amount of money and will still find challenges, how to cope with this semester became a big question. But nevertheless, I kept all my hopes on God. When I resumed school, though late than usual, I began to think what I could possibly do to sustain myself and equally meet up with my academics.

One day while I was heading for the commercial area within Yalwa Campus in Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Univerisity to photocopy some papers, I stumbled upon friend, and at that time I could notice he was busy attending to customers, so we only exchanged pleasantries and I left.

I came back around the evening, I appealed to him to help me secure a place where I could stay and run some online services. Right there and then, he showed me a space where I can stay and it was close to him. He equally gave me his old umbrella. Later in the night, I got a table and some seats from the hostel and placed them at my space.
The following day, I started working and by God's grace, I got a lot of customers coming as it was the period of registration. I never knew I was opting for something great until I noticed I have realized much. On a daily basis, I realized nothing less than 5k, and that was because I was a newbie in the work, other colleagues around earn about twice or more as I do.

The good thing was that I did not even have to buy anything before I start, I only had my laptop and my little skills. The only challenge I faced was the stress and the few lectures I missed, but it's all worth it. With the money i realized, I was able to pay my fees buy some stuffs and still keep some money for contingencies.

As a student on campus, one is bound to face numerous challenges especially when there is no reliable support from our family or elsewhere. But we should never give up the hope and we should be ready to take the challenge.

Of all the ideas I have seen people giving, I found this one most reliable as it does not require much input to start and anyone can do it anywhere and anytime. I did not even have a printer, I had a flash drive where I normally transfer the printable copies and take them to computer centers very close by to print.

With online services, there is an endless list of what services you can render to your potential customers within the campus. All you need is the willpower to work.

Its not an error, its a deliberate act.

Southerners/Easterners are receiving blank mail while North are getting their full invitation letters.

If you don't have a copy of the registration mail containing your ID, that's the end of the road.

Fear North wink
Abeg, this one nor be so. Every state get their own allotted no of candidates, north no get hand for this one.

Politics / FG Orders All Account Holders To Submit Self-certification Forms by abdulDeAnalyst(m): 5:28am On Sep 18, 2020
The Nigerian government has ordered all account holders across the financial institutions and insurance firms to complete and submit Self-certification forms.

As stated by the Federal Government, Persons holding accounts in different financial institutions are required to complete & submit the form to each one of the institutions. The forms are required by the relevant financial institutions to carry out due diligence procedures in line with the Income Tax Regulations 2019.
This announcement was made by the Federal Government in a social media statement on Thursday.

The Government equally urged Nigerians to comply with the requirements and execute all forms needs appropriately, else sanctions may be introduced in the forms of monetary penalty or inability to operate the account.

Nigerians are not yet clear how the self-certification process differs from the bank verification number (BVN) and national identification number (NIN).

The BVN has been a prerequisite to owning a bank account and it is used to link all bank and pension accounts owned by an individual.

The NIN is also another form of identification introduced by the federal government and is a prerequisite for getting an international passport.

The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) currently harmonising the NIN and BVN and has set a five-year target to register all Nigerians after a $430 million world bank loan for the Nigeria digital identification for development project.

The problem is that if you choose other diploma option, and ur quite sure you dnt av diploma result to present during screening, your admission could be distorted..
