my plan was just to use the school admission to get trv first cuz other schools were closed for fall semester, I intend applying to other schools later on, may have to forfeit the admission and close my mind for fall semester.
Admission is still on for fall(September), you still have time, what can really eat up your time is the TRV. God will provide for you mate. Don't give up!

Hello,
Please I'm new on this thread. I graduated with above 4.0 gpa from a federal university in Nigeria in 2011. I studied chemistry. However I've been working in the financial sector from 2013 till date. I intend to apply for my MSC in Canada. Please house what are my chances of getting admission into Brandon university environmental and life sciences program or uni of Manitoba chemistry program without Taking GMAT or GRE. And will my work experience being totally different from intended course of study be an issue?
Best Regards

Some schools waive GRE/GMAT/TOEFL etc . in Manitoba, some department, waive all those test of English. Contact a potential supervisor that u may be willing to work with or the admission officer in ur department to request if it can be waived.

I applied to Manitoba, department of community health sciences without TOEFL and was given admission, most of d work was done by my supervisor over there.

So contact someone to find out

Thanks for the advice bro.. Under family ties in Nigeria, can being a son of a king do the trick... Just wondering if that would be enough to convince them... Thanks....

Yeah, at least u may the heir to d throne, so you'll have to come back, but u must show evidence that u're a prince

Hi nairalanders. This is actually my first time here..
I applied for a PhD program in Mechanical Engineering at University of saskatchewan for the fall, 2016. My application has been recommended for admission and by His grace, I also won a scholarship for the whole 3yrs program worth some thousands of Canadian dollar yearly ( lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed). I have also received the scholarship award letter . I am eagerly awaiting my admission letter from them in order to begin the visa application process... But what am scared of is all d rejection I have been reading here on nairaland.. Lol.... Please, any advice on the visa application would be highly appreciated.. Especially the SOP and ties with Canada and Nigeria.... Biko oooo.....

Congratulations!!!
In your SOP a brief introduction of urself, why u want to study that course reason why you selected Canada as ur destination for study and why do you want to get a PhD, don't give vague reasons.

For d ties in Nigeria show a strong proof that you will return after you PhD even though u won't, proof like family in Nigeria (wife and children), a job(where ur employee grant u a leave of study to return to ur job on completion), a social or political position that will make u come back.

Original copy ? I sincerely doubt that. Apart from the Bank Account Statement and the CIC documents, the other documents need not be original. Keep in mind that documents once submitted may/will not be returned back, except in cases where they send all your documents back because it is incomplete. So if you submit your offer letter and do not get it back, what are you going to show as proof of job offer? Just make a photocopy and apply with that. That's what everyone does.

You can scan it, print it in color form and get it notarized for authentication. They should accept it

Hello all.
I just read in the past post that one will have to submit the original copy of offer letter for visa purpose, please will the one sent to my mail do? a printed copy for my visa application.

If that's what you have use it, I believe they will verify if it is genuine. Some schools send electronic copy of admission letter, that was what I was given (University of Manitoba). If they have any question they will contact them

please house can i use two statement of accounts for my paper application (my salary and my saving account).the fund on my salary acct is way low compare to my salary acct. the factor i only know is the consistent cashflow on my salary acct which at prresence is 200k.please i seek an advise from anyone knowing fully well i have a sponsor to take care of my funds for my postgraduate studies.

If you have a sponsor with enough fund to cover both Tuition and extra $10,000 Canadian dollar, the amount in account doesn't really matter. I can just add to your financial ability. That's what I think, others can comment on it.

That's what I intend to do as well, the money in my account isn't much, but the inflow is steady, cos it's a salary account, but I want to get a sponsor with @least $20k Canadian dollar, probably a friend

Please I need your opinions on this issue. I've been admitted for master program in university of Manitoba fall session starting September.

I have a cousin who reside in US, who want to stand as my sponsor of with $US10000 approximately $C13000. Is that amount enough to be considered on ground of financial capability? Please I need urgent response as that is what is delaying me frm applying for TRV for now

In addition, try to be formal with your salutation, ... Dear Prof.... A brief introduction and sell your self very well to make the person want to check your transcript

I applied for the University of Manitoba Graduate Fellowship UMGF last year September, hoping to be considered this year. I need information from individuals that have applied and was successful. My concern is to know if the scholarship is a full scholarship with tuition waver, though I was told that there's a monthly stipend for the awardee. Any information regarding this will be very much appreciated

Thanks for the question. We make it compulsory that we should receive the product fee and the service fee before we start business transaction with the seller. The shipping fee is optional. The buyer can decide whether to pay for the shipping when the product has reach Nigeria or before the product has reach Nigeria. The only reason we recommend that the buyer pays the shipping fee before sending the product to him/her is because we are trying to save the buyer from being over charge when he wants to collect the product. But if the buyer still wants to pay after the product has arrive, he/she is free to do that.

I have a similar question: If I'm ordering any good and I give u d link to those goods on aliexpress.com. If they request for shipping fee and you too are requesting for shipping fee. Won't I be paying double shipping fee?

El Matteo:

The truth is that it depends on your marketing strategy. For example, you can import just some lil qty for a start so u can show to people and you can start telling people about it using social media such as facebook and BBM. As pple get interested you can increase the qty you order. This is the strategy I personally used and it worked for me. You can also sell stuufs on wholesales. In this case, you will sell it cheaper than you will sell it at the retail price but this is good cos u will make your money instantly.

There are a lot of hot selling products but it still depends on creating the market for it. For example, there are a lot of cheap laptops on the site that u can sell for 20 to 25k and still make profit. U can go to secondary schools and market it to students and teachers since the truth is that most of them may not be able to afford the usual expensive laptops like the dell and HP laptops. If you can get a good one, you can easily market it to them.
There are so many products like jewellries. Infact you can get some jewellries for less than a dollar that with the shipping fee and everything may be less than 2 dollars. You can easily sell them for 1k and that's being generous.
Don't worry if the shipping fee on the site is much cos I will later talk about how to get your stuffs down here by paying much much less in shipping cost and you get your products in 2 to 3 days after you make your order.

In order to know a genuine seller, you have to make sure the seller has sold a good number of the products cos u will need to go through the feedbacks sellers drop after the purchase. From the feedbacks, you will have an idea of the problems pple are having with the products. Also the rating is important. I usually will not go for a supplier whose rating is less than 94%.
Make sure you browse tru before placing your order cos diff suppliers sell the same products at diff prices so u shud go for the supplier with the lowest price and who also have a good reputation.

Finally, make sure u chat with the supplier before placing your order to confirm if the goods are available and to be sure of the quality and also if he can send them to Nigeria. If he can't, u can always find another supplier of the products.

This is really great, I've been looking for opportunity like this all this while, even books I bought makes it look hard. So I'm on d brim of giving up. But now having dis tread is a great hope
