@koinsb, Total of 131 pple attended d induction wit abt 10pple absent. I cannot specifically say hw many re customer care managers because it was a combination of level 12 -14 during d induction. After d induction,few rejected d offer because of either d pay is small or some were given positions which is below wat they re occupying in their present place of work. To b honest,most of d infos shared on dis forum re just speculations as nobody can beat his or her chest includin d NIMC staff and tel u dis is wat is on ground. But I foresee d employment comin in phases as many pple got dis employment but HCP failed to communicate to those pple only God knows why. Even us dat collected d APL,nobody can tel u wen is d resumption date.We were only told to go and that NIMC wld get intouch wit us. I wl advise those waitin to keep cool n continue praying 4 d best. Nobody can take away wat blongs to u... all d best 4 Likes |

@kingjoe, Nice question. I used Honda Accord (2002 model) and it was really ok,cos i bought it as tokunbo. I used it for 1yr6mnths(i dnt use tokunbo more than 2yrs so dat they wld stil ve value wen sellin).The fuel economy is ok,spare parts are relatively cheap,and due to good condition of roads in the north,i neva had any problem till i sold it. I bought it 1.35m and i sold it 980k. I later bought mercedes C230 kompressor. It was equally ok but i sold it after 3months of usage due to gear problem. I then bought Camry 2001 Model (american model),which am still using and the honest truth is,u cant even compare it with Honda Accord 2002 interms of softness,engine performance,fuel economy(which is d greatest asset of that vehicle),spare parts are relatively cheap,stronger than honda.The inbuilt sound system wit the speakers is the bomb (didnt even change after i bought the car). What would amaze u with dis vehicle is wen u downshift while driving,the engine sound never change,only d movement changes. The air conditioner is the BEST, hardly use level 2,am always on low due to its coldness. Fuel tank is 60ltrs and u can go to 200km with just d fuel reserve level, am luvin dis car, the headlights have a sensor,so u dnt bother putting it on the dashboard nd headlights manually. the moment is evening or the weather is kind of getting dark,the lights goes ON automatically, U wil luv dis car. 11 Likes |

@all, Is so sad that some pple would just come here and open their dirty mouth and be talking without having facts or figures. Ghaddafi and his men are neva in Nigeria or any northern states,his men are said to be in Niger republic according to latest reports. 1st of all before making any noise about hatred on Ghaddafi,you should ask yourself why is NATO fighting to ouster him.Why is france and Italy now fighting to get the larger libya rebuilding contract.Why is NATO not in syria despite reports of series of civilians massacre there. We should always look deeply into all these western countries actions before we start judging and passing comments. |

@all, Airtel workers in Abuja down tools By Ngozi Sams and Taiye Agbaje June 9, 2011 11:31PM print email Members of staff of Airtel, one of Nigeria’s big telecommunications operators, yesterday refused to work alleging that their welfare was not adequately attended to by the company. The staff members, numbering about 100, have vowed not to return to work unless the May salary owed them by the organisation was paid. On Thursday morning, the aggrieved workers locked the entrance gate of the Abuja branch office demanding, among other things, the restoration of their National Health Insurance Scheme; downward review of working hours; review of the status of pregnant women and unfavourable annual leave policy. The workers, who conducted their protest in an orderly manner, were closely monitored but uninterrupted by armed police personnel. The protesters, made up mostly of customer care service staff, complained that they were being subjected to all manners of inhuman treatment by the company. “First of all, when Zain transformed to Airtel, there was no formal correspondence to the staff that we are now staff of Airtel,” one of the staff who would not like to be named said. “The current identity cards we are using attest to that. Apart from that, we are all on contract. We are working for an outsourced company, but we never had issues of this nature until the coming of Airtel. “At entry point, we were never given enough time to scrutinise our contract papers; we were hurried into signing it. The main contention for today’s protest is the manner we were being paid since the coming of Airtel. It was just yesterday that some of us started receiving bank alert for our May salary, and from the usual N74,000, what they are being paid is between N15000 and N45,000. There was no explanation from the management for this development.” One of the workers, also called on government to look into the issue of contract staff and casualisation of workers in Nigeria, which he said foreign companies take advantage of the situation to exploit Nigerian workers. “Even some big men in Nigeria take delight in this to exploit the youth in the country. They don’t want transformation in Nigeria and that is why I am calling on President Jonathan to intervene on the matter,” he said. Another staff also said they have been working longer hours, while their free days were reduced from four to two. “Another problem is that our health insurance scheme was stopped, while deductions were still being made without remittance to appropriate authorities. Pregnant women are also not allowed to work here because the management just sacked all of them one day without any explanation and this was not stated in the contract papers. We are also expected to collect no allowance for going on annual leave. I have never seen this kind of inhuman treatment before,” he said. However after about four hours of discussion between the management of the Abuja office and about 10 representatives of the workers, Sunday Al-Hassan, President of the National Union of Postal and Telecommunication Employees (NUPTE) addressed the restless workers on the outcome of the meeting. Not our staff He said the management had agreed to pay the May and June salary, but the workers objected to this. The management of Airtel however said the protesters are not their staffers and that it was a dispute between a service provider and its employees. Rajan Swaroop, chief executive officer of Airtel, yesterday acknowledged that “ June 9, 2011, employees at the Call Centre in Asokoro, Abuja, run by one of our service providers, Spanco Nigeria Limited protested a dispute between them and their employer.” He said Spanco Nigeria Limited has been providing Call Centre Services to Airtel customers in Nigeria. “The Management of Airtel wishes to assure Nigerians that today’s incident would not affect the integrity of the network or the quality of service delivery to customers in Abuja area. While respecting the contractual relationship between Spanco and its employees, Airtel has stepped in to ensure speedy resolution of the crisis in recognition of international best labour practices and the interest of our customers.” |

@u dey vex, LOL!!! this time around we dont need ur votes in the soth east.Afteall how many voters do u even registered this time around ![]() ![]() ![]() u re fooling yourself, BB doesnt need any alliance wit any party to win this election. For ur info,INEC is already preparing for re-run elction cos they kno GEJ can never win 2/3 of the votes required for any candidate to win the election outrightly. "i dey laff" |
![]() |
@karl max, U re a big dreamer too, "i dey laff" The whole of PDP are scared,u inclusive, ![]() ![]() ![]() |

@dipo and co, for all of you that are still dreaming,you better wake up from ur sleep because BB is out to take over the government whether you like it or not and we are going to vote and defend our votes, Simple analysis for you those that think otherwise: North West registered the highest number of voters (which i can bet wit my life BB wil get 99% of that votes) South West came 2nd with number of registered voters (which i can bet wit my life GEJ wil not get their votes because he called them rascals and moreova,they ve their candidate too) Is it wit Bayelsan's votes (which registered the least in the country) that GEJ wil win this election? infact for your info,all northern governorship candidates are distancing themselves now when they go out on their rallies,cos northerns electorates only chant "Nigeria,sai Buhari" Check out the BB campaign rallies pix and see how masses are yearning for change. see link below: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Buhari4change-Official-Fan-Page/116280281775259#!/photo.php?fbid=134705963266024&set=pu.116280281775259&theater http://buhari4change.com/ GEJ is finished.
