Thanks again udi2111, I just noticed you've done the digging up for me. udi2111: But I still look forward to any undergraduate mechanically based engineering CDR as I really need to hit the bulls eye this time. I noticed the ones shared via that link are on other engineering disciplines, which am sure will be useful. |

Goodmorning dear folks, great job! Make una pardon me abeg, no be like say I only show up here when I need help... I really hope I'll be of better help in the future. Pls can anyone refer me to those pages where CDR was shared via some Dropbox links. But what I actually need is any sample report based on undergraduate studies, best if it's in mechanical engineering. My assessor got back to me and said I haven't written enough apparently. But it's not very simple I guess to base a career episode on undergraduate projects and reports. So what I actually need is an undergraduate CDR. Also as a lesson, I paid very little attention to making sure that my document scans were in high res of at least 300dpi. I simply scanned with a good scanner and sent. It turned out that the resolution was just @ "standard" a lil less than the requirement. Now my assessor probably thinks the low res was for a reason and is asking me to resend everything. Even minor error in date of birth in my transcript has become a big deal as he wants me to write my school to effect the correction before resending. They don't understand what people go through to get a first transcript not to think of making corrections. That's even a bigger challenge I still have to overcome. But for now, it's CDR that I really need help on to get started. @ Binimz, jamson, mechanical engineering gurus...Pls anyone with useful resource should come to my aid. Many thanks. |

funkyjo: I think you were spot on with your response... thanks. jamson: Yeah jamson, the 10 points obviously cant fly and I need maximum points from IELTS. I think I'd just proceed with the stage 1 EA assessment and hope to get maximum points from IELTS before EOI. @ ALL Please I'd appreciate anyone who's undergone this EA assessment interested in showing me some more love with sample CDR and CPD on mechanical engr. preferably. other samples from relevant engineering disciplines will also be appreciated... pls kindly forward to hamzuvich@gmail.com Many thanks Fam. |

jamson: Mechanical engineering which I understand has been placed on the pro-rata list... I need like 70 points if am to get invitation before the end of this financial year. That said, am yet to begin this pr process and still working on my cdr. I have got 10 points on ielts and I don't wanna claim points on experience which actually isn't much. That brings it to 55 points. So am asking if I can do my skill assessment based on this point while I hope to gather more points before ITA drops. Put differently... does the points count for anything for this first stage of skills assessment? |

jamson: @ Bnimz & Jamson...all other useful inputs also appreciated Pls I need to be cleared on something...At what point exactly do you need to tender maximum points of 65 or 70 as the case may be? From comments here, it seems like you don't need maximum points especially from English tests, for the first stage of the skill assessment. Pls I need urgent responses... cheers folks. |

mctowel01: Thanks bro. When you say 'internship', do you mean your episodes were all undergrad internships or some were also graduate internships? Cuz am thinking NYSC can also be classed as graduate internship. |

jamson: Please house, do you need any evidence if you don't want to claim points on any carrier episode based on experience. If YES, what form of evidence will suffice for career episodes based on 6 month undergraduate internship and one year NYSC. Will appreciate your prompt responses pls. Many thanks |

No reference at all bro, except you are asking for references on all of people's experiences here. I guess there's no harm in ignoring to learn from someone else's experience for the want of a reference and choosing to learn from your own experience. And to all 'Grantees' in the house... Congrats but don't get too excited just yet cos it's only the beginning of Aussie challenges. But God will see us all through ... Amen SegunWamiri: |

This is how this agent thing is supposed to work... That's if you think you need them cos you can offer yourself better services than they can afford you! When you apply to a school and the school requests that you go through any of their representatives in your country (they would usually provide a list that you can choose from), then all you need do is tell your choice representative that you've made application but were referred to them by the school. They would ask if you have the referral email from the school and once you show them, you don't need to pay any dime for their services as the said school would pay them about AUD3000 in the event that you finally enrol with them. But if you just carry yourself to them without any previous contact with your school, prepare for the exclusive makosa they will dance on your head. And after they chop from you, they will clean their mouth as if nothing happened and chop again from the school. That's why in your visa application form, you are asked if you applied with any agent's assistance and if you got their services at any fee. So if you love a particular program in a particular school, it's not enough to quit just to avoid the frustrating agents. It's only when you dull that they will kill you with frustration SegunWamiri: 1 Like |

Hello good people, I'd like to learn from all those that already migrated... •At what point do you get to declare those strange foodstuffs, who asks for the declaration? •what's the best mode of packaging to avoid their wahala or all those security dogs sniffing some strange smells from the bags and thus raising eyebrows. •at what point do you also declare your hard currency... Dollar precisely... Any minimum or maximum amount required to carry on the trip? And for all those waiting for a grant... It will surely come as long your documents are authentic and properly tendered. They are also aware of all the resumption dates and they will do the needful before it's too late. As far as I know, for your visa application you need only submit certified copies of documents not notarized copies. Notarizations are actually way more expensive and totally unnecessary. Also you need not certify your referral letter or medical receipt. Just include the medical receipt in your application and keep a copy for yourself if you so wish. Btw the medical receipt is the printout you are given for your visa application after the medical. What you need to certify are listed on some checklist ... Documents like int passport, certificates, birth certificates, transcripts. For goodness sake no one needs you to certify your resume/cv or SOP. If you have excess energy better save them for the plenty hustles when you get to Aussie. All these stuffs have bn said here severally. Just track back a little for confirmation! mrsoje: |

I don't know about notarizations. Notarization should be with a notary public or lawyers. I think it's different from document certification which British council does. However, for the purposes of visa application you only need to certify copies of certain original documents as stated in the visa checklist tunai: |

British council certifies document at N1000 for five documents and N1500 for more than five documents. I used them cos they are renowned and certification from them seems more authentic with one very correct stamp and special signatories. You may want to give whichever location of British council you wanna use a call for headsup or to know if the designated signatory will be available on your proposed day of visit. Greetings to y'all and to Bellong for a nice job weldone! As we all know the economic implication of the 573 visa subclass, my question is if it's possible, within the 573 visa period of 2yrs to switch to the 189 or 190 before the end of the 2 yrs. This means you have to be in Australia to do this and without any intention of claiming points on work experience. Does anyone know how possible this might be and whatever implications it might have? Regards to y'all |

Two places for medicals approved by DIBP that I know of in ABJ ... One is the Zankali Clinic in Utako very close to mabushi bridge quite noticeable along the express. the other is IOM in wuse. You may Google precisely on the DIBP website and get the exact addresses and contact numbers. I chose the IOM which for me was better organized and professional judging by what I got after putting a call through to both. But any can serve. Cottyekundayo: 1 Like 2 Shares |

I don't know about Teleperformance Lagos but for ABJ you don't need to book ahead of time... Just go with all your documents and equivalent raw cash. You get you VLN only after your documents and forms are received from you and it's usually on the receipt form printed with a list of documents you submitted Sammybbb: |

Good morning my kind people... Hope you all had a great weekend. Pls still on this form 157A... I need help on the right choice of words in telling them about the kind of job I hope to sort for and find upon return. That is question 38 which says "what kind of employment will you be seeking for on return". What choice of words will be suitable for a mechanical engineer with interests in the energy/power sector and oil and gas related jobs. Pls urgent responses will be immensely appreciated. Many thanks and hope you all have a fantastic week ahead. |

Pls... I really hope that am not beginning to bug the house with my plenty questions lately... I will like to know in the personal statement for subclass 573, in responding to the part where u are asked about your reason for choosing Australia rather than your home country for studies...would it be implicating to mention as one of the reasons being that Australia government policies allows international students who wish to work for sometime immediately after graduation to do so (with some conditions tho) for a while before heading back to their home countries to pursue their goals. Is it also ok to mention as another reason for your your choice being that it possible and leg image for students to do some part time jobs to offset some bills while studying Pls anyone can advice... God bless y'all 1 Like |
