Politics / Re: CPC On FG/Boko-Haram Using Buhari's Name by adoken: 4:46pm On Nov 02, 2012 |
PRESS RELEASE. WHAT IS THE PORTENT OF USING BUHARI’s NAME IN FG/BOKO-HARAM PARLEY?! Our attention, in the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), to a widely publicized news that our National Leader, General Muhammadu Buhari (GMB) has been appointed to take part in a Boko Haram/Federal Government parley. As a Party, we are convinced that this is the latest gambit in the desire of patrimony[/s]. insurrection or insurgency against the Nigerian Nation and her people. Party (PDP), as a corporate entity, is the harbinger of the insecurity travails of the Nigerian People for the sole reason of ensuring perpetuity in governance. From recollection of events of the last two years, there are three variants of the Boko-Haram: the original Boko-Haram that is at daggers drawn with the Nigerian authority for the extra-judicial killing of their leader; the criminal Boko-haram that is involved in all criminality for economic reasons and of course, the most lethal of all, the Political Boko-Haram-which this PDP-led Federal government represents. The President, Dr Good-luck Jonathan had once alerted the Nation of the ubiquitous presence of Boko-Haram in his government- a fact aptly amplified by his erstwhile National Security Adviser, General Andrew Azazi. Undoubtedly, the latest revelations by the State Security Services (SSS) on the complicity of the top echelon of the PDP leadership in Boko Haram activities confirms an act of sabotage [s]aptly bear testimony of the noxious subterfuge to extirpate the essence of our Nationhood.[/s] Finally, we call on governance of the Nation. As a Party, we remain unfazed by the cheap propagandist endeavours of the PDP, knowing that Nigerians are the best judge of the under-performance of this regime. God bless Nigeria. I wish i could make the above write-up simpler...! |

Nigerians living in Nigeria need serious and immediate mental overhaul, except we have a paradigm shift experience we ain't going nowhere......GEJ is doing his best though, like using 'mud-water' to wash dirty white linen....Much effort, Zero efficiency and the washerman will look very stupid before right thinking people, the right thinking people are those in the diaspora and are so scared to return home...so so sad though! |

for me its low key all day cos there are lots of sober times ahead and staying low-key keeps you focused, but if you go for the 'jim-jim',when tha sober times appear, thasame charlatans that helped to waste your money will feed you with a lot of wrong options and that's why you see most low-key wedding surviving and 'jim-jim' weddings repeating the history of titanic |

My take on love or anything that attracts or creates a bonding with the opposite sex is that women are naturally attracted to Bad guys with some nice sense of humour, i'm not talking about a proud-talker-wannabe-hunk....The secret to attracting women is simple: Be neat, intelligent, averagely generous, deep, independent, some choleric disposition but able to admit when you're wrong, some sense of humour and powerful on the bed! There is nothing wrong with any 'celeb' expressing himself/herself in humility. I read at one time in time magazine, how Bill Clinton drove himself to a gas station to fuel his car and afterwards treated himself to tea all worth $7. I met with 50 cent when he came to naija in 2004 and there was no air of 'pride' in him, he was very down to earth, which is usual! Thumbs up Timaya!...Be real and always give your mama joy! 1 Like |

As much as i agree with you about the mutually exclusive nature of events, I still agree the the former author in the sense that if all the objects in question stem towards being 'celebs', how many will be left to drive science and technology? |

I witnessed that accident, returning from P.H to resume work in Lagos the next day, Men you need to see the speed these guys were on, twas like we was driving 220km/hr in the reverse. To my greatest surprise, there was a lady bike amongst them, there were about 12 in number, all looking like CYBORGS in there biking costumes. Like Lil-Wayne said "life is a choice and death is a decision",I really feel for tha fallen biker, may his soul rest in peace but if i got that kinda 'dough', i am ma go to Dubai or tha country side of Hawaii and do stuffs with ma bike. Biking long distances are mostly done in country sides with good/smooth roads and not on "Death Trap" roads like we have here in Naija with villagers drying corn, pepper and all sort of food items. [s]Forensically speaking, his death was not caused by his inability to ride a bike, twas at a bend and there was some obstruction on the road plus plantain sellers,Garri sellers etc[/s] and also the need for speed! |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Usain Bolt To Play For Manchester United Against Real Madrid by adoken: 9:30am On Sep 06, 2012 |
"To stay alive as the master, you need to take a venture in a world where you knew almost nothing, where you can learn new things, this must be the habit so that when you return to the place of your mastery, you will see things differently"-culled from the way of the Ninja!. In my opinion,Bolt is doing what is needful to stay relevant on the track,Myles Davis, R-Kelly, Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, and Donald Trump (just to mention but a few) applied this strategy either unconsciously or consciously to stay on top of their game, those who didn't apply the wisdom fell out sooner than expected. Christy Exerly says "Discipline yourself to stay green, for after you get ripe, you begin to rot". Let me site a few examples about some people/companies that did/ did not stay green! 1.Daniel Amokachi-His team ex-mate (Kanu/Okocha went the opposite angle, built empires they could fall back on after the football hype wanes) 2.Daddy Friyo (went under after Denge-Pose, but Tu-Face has been brandishing different suave and style of music and still on top of his game 3.Brahma Orange/Guarana was the people's choice once upon a time but today it's Coca Cola 4.Nokia and SENDO lost to Blackberry,No wonder BB says it is research in motion(SENDO never recovered from the bluff when Sendo-X failed in the market) 5.Nigeria National Football Team, Brazil National Football Team have gone under Argentina National Football Team (Team Naija died after the likes of Yekini,Peter rufai,Amunike etc left the scene, same for Brazil after Bebeto and Maradona),Today we have Spain,Germany and Italy ruling soccer you can add yours..... |

I just wonder how a comedian takes a stage and throws a few state jokes and the next thing he is raking millions and buying vanities and principalities, on the other hand, the nerd, or some academic guru, with rich ideas never makes it beyond living-to-survive, this is quite amazing and it keeps me wondering if school is really worth it, and me thinks it's some of the reason the young ones of this dispensation hanker for fame and fortune in show-biz by striving hard to carve their niche by whatever means possible!!!whew! |

Nice one,cos if all the Cobblers, Nannies, Cab men, Tailors, Gardeners, Postmen, 'Buka-teria',Drivers,Cooks,Saloons etc leave Abuja, it will be fun to see Okonjo Iweala, Ribadu and co doing errands themselves and perhaps, patience will be selling fish in her new market |
Religion / Re: Your Thoughts On This Sticker Of Bishop Oyedepo? Blasphemy by adoken: 3:53pm On Aug 28, 2012 |
If i may question reason, once upon a time, the convener of Living Faith was a son of either David or Oyedepo and the father of the said convener was also a son of somebody and the chain goes on an on. There must be a point along the chain where the said convener's grand parents Worshiped some demons. Saying "I'm a Son of David Oyedepo" a mortal, simply invokes a tie with his ancestors, and that is why i disagree with such affirmations. I'd rather that the sticker bears "I'm God's preacher's Son-Bishop Oyedepo" I think it makes more sense! |
