Politics / Re: June 12th, Abiola, Susan Rice And A Cup Of Tea - Femi Fani-kayode by adoken: 10:40am On Jun 10, 2013
If you study the Yin-Yang Theory, you need not ask why and how Abiola was Killed:
Abacha and Abiola's case is tantamount to Tu-Pac and Notorious B.I.G
We have the Twin Tower Bombing.
The Strategy employed by the "Professionals" in American High-Profile killing follows the Yin-Yang Theory, double tragedy to cause confusion and cancel adverse effect, and that's what they are very good at....even Nairaland and its postings are not safe
Politics / Re: Dana Victims' Families Pay Respect To Their Loved Ones by adoken: 6:14am On Jun 04, 2013
As it is said, "wonders shall never end",I am surprised that till now those that are supposed to be compensated have not been given a thought. Nice move though for building the Cenotaph, but what about those that were fried in "Bell View' and "Sosoliso" in 2005. I promise Dana Air with a GREAT CURSE that just as BellView and Sosoliso died with the people that year,so shall Dana Air die before our very eyes.
As for the cenotaph,i hope we won't return there next year to find mad people and street urchins seeking refuge or worse find it a refuse dump site.

Take a look at the apartment and the Yellow ANACONDA,you will remember that sometime ago someone posted the same man draped by his snakes all over and the "man" (now deceased) found it very cool and cocky doing his snake stuff, though he made a great picture out of his but never lived a great life after it.....food for thought, always watch yourself when you seem to be doing something to impress people or draw attention, the aftermath usually is not a happy ending....
Politics / Re: We Shall Kill Nigerians In Pakistan If Kidnapped Victims Are Killed by adoken: 2:00pm On May 30, 2013
We Nigerians can emulate the usage of ugly phrases that amounts to nothing:
I remember the era of "As In", then there was anything hardly said without using that crazy-phrase "As In", then there was "Shey you feel me?", and then "Yes Boss". Now i get some of the latest crazy ones spoken which is "Like Seriously",I just don't know where in hell these non-technical, non-formal phrases are cooked up from.
Please, let's not join the band wagon of using words that spoil our Imagine in Public hearing....and "Like Seriously is one of them......
Thanks you !!!

@ OP, go and Watch the Movie "ATHENA" and do research on the "Heuristics" and "Doppelganger", the you will know that those guys called "Boko Haram" ain't as illiterate as we paint them, they are Mean, Wicked, Demonic, and Machiavellian....
I just pity GEJ cos himself and his subjects don't real and they don't adapt any leadership model or security model,no strategy, nothing...Just to eat, drink,Bleep and listen to music...that's very very bad ![with all due respect, all vulgar language copyleft(R) reversed]

Politics / Re: Boko-Haram Kills CAN’s Borno Secretary Minutes After GEJ Broadcast by adoken: 7:02am On May 15, 2013
I am not an Igbo man or has anything to do with the Igbo People,If you care to know,I am from the north and if the truth must be said, Nigeria is suffering the consequences of what Ojukwu saw some 40+ years ago. We don't solve any tangible problem without going to it's root-cause.I remember back in the days as an aspiring Jambite,if you score 320 applying for medicine or pharmacy or even engineering as a non-northerner,your chances of being admitted to your course of choice is very narrow but if you score between 180-200 as a northerner, you will be celebrated as though you made a ground-breaking discovery and God bless you if you nailed the 300 mark, that's straight scholarship plus some "Bonuses".
The point here is Nigeria as a people and her leaders have not come to look at the root cause of her numerous problems.
Dealing with security issues is not all about deploying troops to affected areas or doing-eye-for-eye, Boko haram and her sponsors have shown us enough clues to who its sponsors and conveners are. From the statements of Buhari and Atiku and other top-dogs in the north,is it not enough for GEJ and his cohorts to burn the "cancer" affecting Nigeria?. Rather,he went about it in a Childish Manner, dolling out unmerited-awards and doing visits uncalled for.He (GEJ) commissioned the Almarjiri school some time ago, please can someone tell me what an Almarjiri will appreciate in formal education when he already has a biased mind that it is an abomination? "HARAM".
Are Nigerian Muslims more Islamic than the Moslems in Qatar,Oman an indeed the entire U.A.E?,but if you go there, you will think God visits there everyday, they turned a plain desert to an imagination of heaven, though oil rich, but they still maintain the doggedness of a humble lifestyle and boost their Agriculture through irrigation and advanced science, almost everything is on point.
As for me,there is a process to the palace and GEJ missed the process.

1. He wasn't groomed as a leader (his benefactors are known convicts and wanted persons),so from that pedigree what do you expect from him than to fan corruption in the heat of economic furnace?.

2. He inherited loads of confusion sequel to the Military aftermath.

3. As a result of 1 and 2 above, he does not know what leadership model to adapt to and has not made any effort to create one.

If i were Nigeria president any day i would do the following:
1. Admit that the task before me could end my life so i must work to justify that !
2. Ban importation of everything (to encourage local companies and foreign investors)
3. Having 2 above in process will naturally pull the need to generate electricity
4. Restore all failing National Plugs (Airline,Railway,Telecomms,Works etc)
5. Annex Agriculture in the north, Industries in the west and Oil/Gas in the east and south south.
6. Shuffle Governors from their native lands to serve in other states (e.g take Fashola to Maiduguri, Adams Ashimole to Sokoto, Rotimi Ameachi to Kogi, etc)
7. Ensure every local government in every state has a library
8. Create a leadership school for the next generation because not everyone is born to solve dy/dx....
9. Enforce all laws as it applies.
etc
etc

Family / Re: Update; I Am 31 And getting married soon by adoken: 6:21am On May 13, 2013
Its nice you got the bile to come to Nairaland to express yourself, now use the same energy and stand before your mirror everyday and make positive confessions about your life and your dream man.you must be ready within you if you truly want to get married as a path to a lifetime journey or for the fun of it because Marriage is the only institution that has more than one matriculation and no convocation,we all celebrate weddings but nobody celebrates divorce.
My dear,in all honesty,if you truly are out to make yourself happy first,i mean genuinely happy then the right guy will naturally set in,if not,you will be surprised that in your bid to get married you would have ended up kissing all the frogs that comes your way in the anticipation that one might come with a golden tongue.Another food for thought, beware of the flashy cos i see from your writing that you are an up tight girl who likes to intimidate men with success and wealth, most real guys are made in the process, so being privileged to having what a guy could or couldn't to buy you should horn your spider senses to seeing beyond all that glitters.
Well got nothing much to say, just wishing you best of luck hence and when you finally nail a dude, don't forget to let us know so that we sharpen our dentition for the 'owambe' that follows

Very sad,I urge everyone reading this to get a copy of "the 50th law",I had a similar experience,It was very tough for me and somehow I came acros "The 50th law" and am grateful it changed my life, the truth is no job lasts forever, and while you have one,you must carve a corner for yourself and create little empires, you must delay gratification on the short term to enjoy life on the long term, while a job is at hand, you must work hard to up your game and keep changing yourstyle to meet the demands of your environment.Today,my life has changed for good, thanks to the idea of realism and the 50th law....Above all, thanks to God almighty for the wisdom to understand!
Nairaland / General / Re: Are The Young People Of Today Very Lazy And Materialistic? by adoken: 10:19am On Nov 17, 2012
JustifiedChild: I was in the office one day discussing with my boss’ friend. He told me how he was relating with young people like my humble self and practically announced that our generation was filled with lazy and unintelligent people.

I was slightly offended by that statement and was quick to rise to ‘our’ defense; I mean he could as well be saying I was lazy and unintelligent! angry He cited examples where he was discussing with young people and found out some could not spell, some who never read books of any kind and a guy who did not know that iron ore was a mineral resource ( shocked ).

In his own words, “everybody just wants to hammer like Davido and wizkid..”.

He said even the educational system was easier for us, thanks to the various technologies we have but we are still lazy about it. Anyway, our talk was insightful and even though i hated to admit it, i knew he had points! Anyway opinions please! grin
Your Boss' Friend is Right, take for example, back in them days, before software technology came, Engineers Plotted and made calculations by hand, today we have softwares doing almost everything and have lost the sound Engineering Judgment that our predecessors applied in their time, simply because we don't read study as we ought!

Nada,Nada i speak in Italia, let's look beyond religion and ethnicity, El-Rufai is saying the truth, the clamour for Jet ownership by MOGs started when their counterparts abroad eg Benny-Hinn,Creflo Dollar,TD Jakes were owning some, later,Winners and Redeem Joined the League.
Gone are the days church leader request for A/C,plastic chairs, musical instruments, projectors etc,it's either you own a school in all ranking or a jet and if you dont av one it means God is not on your side....but that is a great lie....
Has anyone heard of Gbile Akanni...? he is a true man of God to the marrow, i think Gbile would rather sell his jet and use the money to sponsor the less privileged to go to school...
Honestly, our so called MOGs have failed us...and that is why Nigeria is where it is
