Politics / Re: It’s Shameful Nigeria Imports Petrol – Governors by affable4(m): 10:00pm On Oct 31 |
Take them serious at your own peril. They devised a genius reason to jerk up the price of PMS, with the promise that it will be sourced locally. Only to go back to importation. Apparently, importing is now more lucrative because if the price increase. Have you ever imagined why there is no significant progress with the fx situation despite the presence of a working refinery that is supposed to ease off pressure on the dollars? Because if they explain naija to you and you understand am, mean say the person no explain well. 6 Likes |

Politics / Re: NNPC Fixes Pump Price For Dangote Refinery, Sells Petrol ₦950 Lagos, ₦992 Abuja by affable4(m): 10:28am On Sep 16 |
nairalanda1: How please? Let NNPCL import theirs from Malta, subsidize and sell at 600 and let Dangote sell his at his own rate. That simple. Why did they leave the supposedly cheaper imported fuel for a more expensive locally refined one? Because the imported fuel wasn’t as expensive as they claim it to be. They inflate the subsidy just to cash out. 1 Like |
Business / Re: Dangote Refinery Playing Emotional Blackmail, Nigerians Swallowing It – Adeoti by affable4(m): 2:46pm On Sep 13 |
After reading all the post on this thread, I’m made to believe that we don’t really know what’s happening in this country. Forget the monopoly and government support enjoyed by Dangote over the years. The problem we are faced with right now is how the present government wants to keep generating revenue from petroleum sales to its citizens. We all deduced that PMS ought to be cheap if produced locally. Everyone is fighting to make sure the price is pushed as high as possible to keep the revenue coming. For me, the government is the one blackmailing Dangote. Why would NNPCL want to be the sole distributor of a locally produced PMS? Just to keep the price bondage going. Dangote said NNPCL will fix price. That tells a lot. Let’s keep pretending like the people we have in the helms of affairs actually have the interest of the masses at heart. We claim to be so intelligent, but we are often deceived by unintelligent lies. 10 Likes |
