Religion / Re: Jesus Did Not Also Say We Should Not Celebrate His Birth by Afonjas: 10:06pm On Dec 25, 2018
Adekdammy:
Christ is the reason for the season

This is the period some will tell you Jesus never said we should celebrate His birth in the scriptures, simply correct them in love by telling them Jesus did not also say we should not celebrate His birth in the scriptures, even the angels and the wise men celebrated His birth Luke 2:13-14

When they tell you He only said we should celebrate His death, correct them in love by making them know that without His birth, there would be no need for His death.

Today is the day we should reflect on the Love God has for us by sending His son to earth to reconcile us back to Him.

The blank page between the old testament and the new testament has a meaning, it was a time God did not speak to man kind (the silent or dark age) but the arrival of Jesus changed all that, now we have direct access to the Father through Jesus.

As we celebrate, let's preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, remember the needy among us, put smiles on someone face, share that wonderful meal with those who don't have what to eat.

Wishing us Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

Maranatha...He cometh soon.

Iboes will be surprised how APC will sweep Benue. When it comes to politics, benue people never align with the slaves from the east. Apart from that Ortom has also performed way below expectation.

Zombie don't call Igbos, not all Igbos participate in Nigerian useless election where they offer 2 demons to chose one from.

Whether Benue vote for Buhari or not, it's non of our business, Benue people voted for Buhari in 2015, they can do better than that

OkaNaUbe:
As we Celebrate the birth of CHRIST, let us remember to pray for Leah Sharibu who Boko Haram insurgents abducted alongside other 109 students on February 19 2018 and released them a month later, with the exception of Sharibu and five students who died in captivity.

Other girls have been released but Leah was not.

They reportedly held Sharibu back for refusing to renounce her Christian faith.

BafanaBafana:
Pdp supporters are resting assured that pdp have used fulani herdsmen to capture Benue. Politics is local. I have had cause to be in the three senatorial zones in Benue and from the feelers I have gotten, I don't see Atiku winning.
First of all, Benue people traditionaly don't play the religion card, save for the few who grew up in the core north. They are not daft and can not be decieved easily. The propaganda that Buhari is behind Fulani herdsmen attacks doesn't fly with a lot of people, except those who are pdp apologists. As a matter of fact, people will whisper to you that Ortom is responsible for most of the killings. If you know about Aminu Tashaku, you will understand.
Next is the Ortom factor. Ortom has dealt mercilessly with Benue civil servants and pensioneers. They don't want to hear his name or anything he is associated with. You know the pain when you are not being paid, the governor says there is no money but you see his aides building new houses and buying new cars. Ortom plans to buy his way through to the government house, but the APC is ready for him.
Thirdly, they know who Atiku is, his fraudulent personality and criminal tendencies. It was Atiku who sold off Benue cement company. We know what we enjoyed when that company was in the ownership of the fg. Benue is not a place where they worship criminals.
Now these ain't my personal opinions. It is the feelers I got from people in Benue. My assessment of the situation is that pdp will not win in Benue.

Politics / Re: Why Lagos May Become The Biggest Igbo City In 2030 by Afonjas: 5:07pm On Dec 11, 2018
[s]
Frankdoz27:
Lagos state may geographically be located in southwestern Nigeria, a region dominated by ethnic Yoruba's but with increasing indigenous Lagos Igbo's ( Igbo generation born in Lagos) and continual influx of southeastherners is a major threat which may eventually strip Yoruba's their waning owneri of Lagos. As may be noted, Igbo's have fully integrated in every polity of lagos; socially, politically and economically. Below are list of evidence that Lagos will soon become the first Igbo territory outside their conventional southeast and parts of south south.

* The biggest international markets in lagos is owned by Igbo's(Trade fair, Alaba international market, ladikpo etc).

* Igbo's now dominates major political positions in lagos ( many Igbo's are appointed commissioner in lagos, many constituency in lagos state house of assembly are represented by lagos indigenous Igbo's, lagos indigenous Igbo's have headed different LG as chairman, the recent southwest APC publicity sectary, JOE IGBOKWE is a Lagos indigenous Igbo.

* Notable Igbo Entrepreneur's established their enterprise in lagos with majority of its employees being Igbo's example include nest oil, Capital oil, ABC transport, GUO transport, etc.

* Igbo millionaire's are buying up lagos. From lagos mainland to lagos island, most building's, companies and shops/ stores are own by Igbo's. Some even said festac and satlight town are completely Igbo areas. Rumors have it that Innoson and orange drugs have purchased half of Vitoria and banana islands.

*Most landlord in lagos are Igbo's. Igbo's now closing swamps to erect more buildings in lagos leaving the Yoruba's houseless.

It is an expectation of every indigenous Lagos Igbo son's and daughter's that one day an Igbo man will become the governor of Lagos state to complete the full integration of indigenous Lagos Igbo's.
