Who paid you? in 24hours you have made 54 posts all against endsars protests and Nigerians. I pity you. Karma is real!

Yamiriflathead:
They all wanted buhari to respond based on the reckless videos making rounds claiming 100s of people died in the massacre.
A massacre happened and there were no blood stains anywhere, no hospital reported that the dead bodies are been preserved in their morgues, no identities yet, the massacred protesters don't have a family, no obituaries, no funerals yet? Those who were alleged to have died have come out to debunked the fake NEWs.
Even if the army seized the bodies of those they killed(which is a lie), the families have not kom out to decry their missing members? Even the protest organizers don't know those who died. Even those who made live Instagram videos were caught posting fake pictures.. in this era where everyone has access to Android phones, nobody has authentic pictures of those who were massacred in lekki.
A thorough investigation needs to be carried out on this matter and people made to face the full wrath of the law

Falz, DJ switch, Aisha yesufu, wailers... We demand to know the identities of those massacred... Oh, even falz posted fake pictures

Travel / Re: Open And Dirty Drainage System In Lagos (Photos) by agba1900: 10:35pm On Nov 21, 2019
AutoJoshNG:
For decades, open and dirty drainage systems have been a prominent feature of roads and streets in Nigeria’s commercial capital.

The filthy condition of many streets in Lagos State is attributable to the construction of an open drainage system. For some residents, open drainage systems are considered as alternatives to refuse dumps. All these contribute to the notoriously unsanitary condition of Africa's 5th largest economy.

The construction of exposed drainage systems in Lagos State is a culture that has been sustained over the decades. Even the very recently reconstructed Oshodi-Airport road features exposed drainage. See photos of the open drainage on the newly reconstructed Oshodi-Airport Road.

Sadly, these ubiquitous and uncomplimentary sights of open and dirty drainage systems all over Lagos State are what greets and leaves a lasting first impression on first-time visitors to Nigeria.

It is no news that Lagos state is prone to flooding. The supremely notorious blocked drainage systems is the chief cause of flooding on many roads in the state when it rains.

It goes without saying, no city in the world that sincerely desires to be taken seriously leaves its drainage system exposed.

The Ministry of the Environment through the Office of Drainage Services is responsible for the cleaning of the open and dirty drainage system in the state. Unarguably, this agency of the Lagos State government has failed terrifically in that responsibility.

Lagos State is home to about 22 million Nigerians. Lagos is currently home to 65 percent of Nigeria’s businesses, with a presence of over 2,000 manufacturing companies, 200 financial institutions and the largest collection of small and medium enterprises in Africa.

Politics / Saraki: The Making Of A Successor! by agba1900: 1:35pm On May 25, 2019
Nature makes fine gold go through the fire to purify it and make it into finer gold. Any sincere observer of the travails of ‘Oloye’ as the Senate President Bukola Saraki is fondly called, will see nothing but an excessive attempt to destroy a man whose destiny is firmly in the hands of his Creator. How does one explain this new set of activities directed at making uncomfortable, embarrassing and harassing the senate president and his family? If the history of the case that went all the way to the Supreme Court in the infamous ICPC trials does not represent a completion of the matter, what do honest Nigerians make of this hasty double jeopardy efforts of the EFCC?

Surely, like the previous attempt, this one too will soon end and would only propel Bukola Saraki to higher levels of love from his followers and the conscientious people around.

What are Bukola’s sins, save for emerging as Senate President of the 8th Senate in spite of the meddlesomeness of the cabal of APC into what ordinarily is a selection process of peers relying on their rules! Can the handlers of this regime soberly say that he had done anything other than that which is allowed in a multi-party democracy, where qualified persons lobby and scheme for positions! There is a falling to which the souls of men must strive to rid themselves, for while the scheming is ongoing, all might scheme, but once one has been favoured, it is ridiculous, incongruous to hold a grudge and elevate same to enmity, an enmity of monstrous bile, induced hatred, which all rightly guided persons must seek to purge themselves of, otherwise eternal damnation awaits the individual who abuses authority!

This persecution becomes more offensive given that the senate under Senate President Olubukola Abubakar Saraki has performed better than all others before it in terms of its duties by way of bills, oversight and legislative responsibilities on the side of the country and its citizens! Notwithstanding the attitude of the Buhari-led Executive and the posturing of some of its ministers and agency heads, in true manner of one who understands the higher ideals of leadership, Bukola has ensured that the ship of state is not grounded to a halt, at the same time ensuring that the independence of the Legislature is not trampled upon.

The apparatchik of state went into the 2019 elections in Kwara with brazing audacity in a bid to get the people of Kwara to dump their benefactor in such a way that might affect the noble history of that town if care is not taken to ensure outsiders do not dictate the pace of a revered Nigerian state. Again, but for the higher ideals of leadership, which made Oloye take that in his stride, and reason that no Kwaran must die or be maimed because of reactionary agents and enemies of the people, perhaps the story might have really been centred around avoidable chaos and killings. Bukola reasoned like a true leader: maybe Otoge indeed; maybe the people do not want all he does for them, how he promotes their sons and daughters, how he does continuous medical supports to the downtrodden.

Perhaps his generosity is no more desired, and while he leads them in love, they may prefer those who care not about them and who would destroy the family bond that all Kwarans have enjoyed from a legacy nurtured and passed on from Olusola Abubakar Saraki senior, which Olubukola Abubakar Saraki junior has, through thick and thin, kept faith with. Time will tell if the people of Kwara made the right decision on that day, time will tell boya Otoge abi Kotoge!

As for the future, behold, I see an effectual door opened before Saraki, one that will prepare him for succession, for the baton will be passed to the long awaited divine leaders. The belly of time is pregnant, and in full season, the entire world will learn of Olubukola Abubakar Saraki, Senate President of the 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; the bridge, the urbane, the digital leader, the one that will hold the numerous tribes and tongues of Nigeria together.

One only needs to look at the generation holding sway now to know that the clock is ticking and power must change hands. Dear Olubukola Abubakar Saraki, stay strong. This too shall pass, and when the siege is over, you can be sure that the great Rewarder is more than able to perfect all things concerning you and the country, Nigeria.

Kwarans, if you like, sit idly, while enemies of Kwara plan to destroy your pride. Rest assured that a larger space, made up of thinking persons are seeing the bright light in your midst. Like it is with prophets of the past eras, he would be honored and supported from far and near!

Politics / I Won’t Beg Tinubu, Royal Fathers To Retain My Seat – Gov Akeredolu by agba1900: 12:00am On Mar 22, 2018
Royal fathers won’t dine with a thief – Abraham
The Governor of Ondo State, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu has vowed not to beg either the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, or royal fathers, to retain his seat.

His stance was made known to our correspondent on Friday just as plans, by a leading contestant in the September 3, 2016 APC governorship primaries, to sack the governor from office through the courts, gathered momentum.

Investigations by The Point revealed that some traditional rulers in Ondo State were helping to prevail on the aggrieved contestant, Dr. Olusegun Abraham, to dump his legal action.

Abraham is currently in court, demanding the removal of Akeredolu. He claimed

that the result of the APC primary election, which produced the governor, was manipulated.

In the riveting case, which Akeredolu is also trying to stop through the Supreme Court, Abraham is insisting that he won the APC primary election and that he should be declared the duly elected Governor of Ondo State.

Our correspondent gathered that the monarch of Abraham’s Ikare-Akoko community in the Akoko North-East Local Council, Oba Akadiri Momoh, who is the Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Traditional Rulers, is under pressure to prevail on his ‘son’ to come to an agreement with the governor.

A palace source, preferring anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the dispute, said royal fathers from Akeredolu’s Owo area and others from the riverine areas, where the Deputy Governor, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, hails from, had been consulting with the Olukare, in the hope that he would succeed in persuading Abraham to “settle out of court.”

The source claimed that the Akeredolu camp engaged the emissary of royal fathers, especially as Abraham appeared to be making progress in his legal fight.

Though a senior chief in the Olukare palace told our correspondent that the revered monarch would not speak on the touchy issue, he revealed nonetheless that the monarch was in a dilemma.

“In the first place, the Oba is loyal to the state governor as would be expected, but at the same time, Abraham is a native of Ikare and is like a son to him. So, only Abraham can determine his course of action in the final analysis,” the senior chief, who would not want his name mentioned, disclosed.

In another breath, reliable sources also informed our correspondent that top APC politicians, close to Governor Akeredolu, had been reaching out to Tinubu to “truly come to terms” with the governor, by prevailing on Abraham, his acclaimed political godson, to abandon the suit.

In the last governorship election, Tinubu had backed Abraham, having fallen out with Akeredolu, who he had backed four years earlier.

NONE OF OUR ROYAL FATHERS WOULD DINE WITH THE THIEF, IF THE TRUTH IS KNOWN TO THEM; AND WE ARE IN COURT TO SHOW THE TRUTH AND RE-CLAIM THE STOLEN MANDATE; THEREFORE, NO PRESSURE FROM ANY QUARTER, HOWEVER EXERTED, WOULD MATTER OR CHANGE THE COURSE OF JUSTICE

I CAN NEVER BEG ANYBODY, SAYS AKEREDOLU

However, reacting to the raging speculation that he had enlisted the services of traditional rulers and other eminent persons to help him plead with Abraham and Tinubu, Akeredolu said, “There is nothing like that.”

The governor, who reacted through the state Commissioner for Information, Mr. Yemi Olowolabi, said, “I can assure you that there is nothing like that. The governor holds Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in high esteem; but there is nothing like parading Tinubu’s house or the house of anybody or begging the royal fathers to help him beg anyone. Akeredolu is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He knows how to go about the case in court.

Politics / The President Needs Help by agba1900: 5:55pm On Mar 19, 2018
About 17 months ago, when the wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, raised the alarm, in a BBC Hausa interview, that her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, had been caged by a treacherous cabal, many Nigerians, who had watched the President’s early political goofs, saw her outburst as a welcome knock for the wobbling ruling party. It was an unusual occurrence in the history of Nigeria, which confirmed to the discerning that the foundation of the emergency marriage, which gave birth to the All Progressives Congress, might not be strong enough to take it through a four-year pact, especially with the longstanding structures that had been instituted by the individual heavyweights who flocked into the ring to consolidate the force against an unwanted Jonathan.

Bold as the handwriting was on the wall, unrepentant sycophants dismissed the gravid interview as the ranting of a sidelined First Lady, while a number of those who should have joined Mrs. Buhari in calling her husband to order while the day was still very young, chose to defer the doomsday by chastising her on unjustifiable traditional grounds. Yet, those who were benefitting from the unusual order, which she sought to break, rather than address the concerns in the interest of the party, the nation and Nigerians, influenced PMB’s hilarious but reprehensible ‘other room’ theory, and perfected plans to shut the First Lady up for good.  The result? Chains of political and socio-economic blunders that have made a hero of the former president.

Business / Nigerians Lose N200bn To E-fraud, Cyber Crime In 9 Months – Investigation by agba1900: 4:18pm On Nov 15, 2017
http://www.thepointng.com/nigerians-lose-n200bn-to-e-fraud-cyber-crime-in-9-months-investigation/

Nigerians lost over N200 billion to electronic fraud, cyber crime and other forgery related cases, especially in financial institutions, between January and September 2017, investigations by The Point have revealed.
The figures, which were obtained from reliable sources at the apex bank and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, represented an increase of about 60 per cent in nine monthsalone, indicating that it could hit the roof by the end of the year as more fraud related crimes are expected to be perpetrated towards the end of the year.
The reported fraud related cases are e-fraud, identity theft, illegal and multiple deductions, fraudulent withdrawals, excess charges, illegal diversion of fund of unsuspected depositors, Automated Teller Machine fraud and dishonoured cheques, among others.
Based on trend and human perception, it is believed that fraud rates in Nigeria usually increase towards the end of the year as a result of demands associated with several festivities around the period.
For instance, the month of October recorded the highest fraud volume in 2015 and 2016, followed by March and June.
Exploring reported fraud events within the period under review, while fraud perpetrated through hackers and ATM recorded the highest volume, across-the-counter fraud recorded the highest actual loss value.
Top on the list of banks with high incidence of complaints, according to documents obtained by our correspondent, are: First City Monument Bank Plc, Diamond Bank Plc, and Skye Bank Plc, for the second time in two years.
Despite the directive of the apex bank to the commercial banks to establish industry fraud desks and send all electronic interbank transactions to the Central Anti-Fraud Solution, the fraud cases have been on the increase.
While they increased from 10,743 as at 2015 to 19,531 by the end of 2016, the number of cases rose to about 25,200 at the end of September 2017.
Investigations by The Point revealed that a total number of 1,080 individuals benefited from fraudulent transactions consummated across the counter as well as through ATM, Internet Banking, Mobile and e-Commerce.
Despite several awareness and tips by CBN about Biometric Verification Number watch list, some financial institutions, it was gathered, refused to send the BVNs of their customers, who had been involved in fraudulent acts for watch listing.
Out of the 1,080 individuals, only 217 BVNs were sent to NIBSS for watch listing, which is only about 21 per cent of supposed watch listed numbers.

WE’LL BOYCOTT BANKING FOR ONE DAY – CAFON
Meanwhile, the President, Consumer Advocacy Foundation of Nigeria, Ms. Sola Salako-Ajulo, told The Point that there were plans to persuade bank customers to avoid all banking transactions for one day.
“There should be no visit to the Automated Teller Machines or the banking halls that day,” Salako-Ajulo said.
She said she would lead consumers in protest against recent illegal deductions, e-fraud and other forgery cases that had created holes in the finances of innocent Nigerians.
The CAFON founder said, “For many years now, customers of banking services have endured excessive charges, unexplained fees, multiple charges and other fraudulent acts that have been forced down the throats of customers by the banks.
Banks debit customers’ accounts at will for charges we never agreed to or were not aware of; they charge us for everything; some banks are charging N210 for the use of deposit and transfer forms in their branches! Thousands of customers have been victims of ATM fraud because the banking industry failed in its duty of educating and informing consumers of the inherent dangers in online banking at commencement.
“These incessant multiple charges are even more prevalent on loan accounts, while many banks have also taken advantage of the CBN’s fluctuating forex policy to charge customers exchange rates that far exceed the CBN rates without even notifying the customers of the rates before the transactions.”
Salako also decried the role of the CBN in constantly changing policies without notice, instead of carrying out its responsibility of regulating the sector as well as protecting customers from exploitation, adding that, under the current management of the apex bank, abolished fees were being reintroduced.

THE APEX BANK MUST SAVE THOUSANDS OF UNSUSPECTING NIGERIAN FROM THE CLAWS OF DEPOSIT MONEY BANKS THAT FLEECE THEM OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY. SOME OF THE ACCOUNT OFFICERS ARE ALLIES OF FRAUDSTERS AS THEY GIVE THEM INFORMATION OF THEIR CLIENTS

OVERHAUL INTERNAL BANKING PROCESSES, Experts tell CBN
Industry experts have, however, tasked most banks to do a complete overhaul of their internal control. As far as they are concerned, the banks’ largely weak control system, especially with regard to the ATM and internet banking, has a grave consequence for public confidence and acceptance of payment instruments.
In most cases, the experts observed that the CBN, commercial banks and service providers were not proactive in sharing fraud data amongst themselves to enable prompt responses to prevent or limit fraud losses.
An impeccable source in the Nigeria Electronic Fraud Forum, a group created by the CBN to tame fraud in the sector, told The Point that the sector lacked the required cohesive and effective fraud/risk management strategies as well as key requirements for e-payment security.
“The sector lacks the required fraud mitigating policies. Most banks’ internal control system lack standard processes like regulation of card-present fraud in Non-Europay, MasterCard and Visa environment and the creation of fraud desks for effective e-fraud control. These measures need to be supported still with additional information security compliance that will tackle the threats that emerge as a result of the ever-increasing changes in our payments system,” he said.
The Managing Partner, Forensic Consult, Mr. Ori Adeyemo, also told The Point that he had different fraud related cases against financial institutions like Union Bank Plc, FCMB, First Bank Plc and Skye Bank, among others, in high courts in Lagos, Rivers, Kaduna, Imo, Kwara and others across major cities in Nigeria.
Adeyemo alleged, “Scores of my clients have charged the banks for illegal deductions, multiple loan charges, ATM fraud, multiple account maintenance charges, and missing funds, among others. In most cases, we give them few months to refund but if that fails, we go to court and we win.
“The apex bank must save thousands of unsuspecting Nigerian from the claws of Deposit Money Banks that fleece them of their hard earned money. Some of the account officers are allies of fraudsters as they give them information of their clients, especially when they are out of town.
“For instance, the sum of N200,000 was deducted from a client’s FCMB account when he had not issued any cheque in that regard. A few months later, we found that the money was transferred by an insider to a friend in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. When the manager was asked questions, he could not answer but was just blabbing.”

We’re poised to tackle menace – EFCC
The EFCC has, however, warned managements of banks that it will no longer be business as usual for some of them that engage in/or encourage fraud-related
issues.
The Head, Operations, EFCC, Benin Zone, Mr. Mailafia Yakubu, charged compliance officers of banks to collaborate with the commission in tackling economic and financial crimes.
Yakubu said the development was due to the unscrupulous activities of some bankers, who connived with fraudsters to defraud innocent people of their hard-earned money.
He said, “There have been cases where bank officials deliberately ignored EFCC’s Post No Debit (PND) orders on suspect’s account or inform suspect about the PND to enable them make withdrawals using their ATM cards.

Girl’s fallopian tube removed during abortion, church member alleges
I owe no one any explanation – Cleric
For Mrs. Onyinye Obileku, trusting any man of God has now become a Herculean task, especially given her recent experience.
Obileku has yet to come to terms with the reality that the pastor of her church, Tunde Yemi Daniel, could descend to that level of carnality of allegedly impregnating her 16-year-old daughter, Ogechi, and even subjecting the young girl to the harrowing experience of an abortion, afterwards, to cover up his shameful misdeed.
Daniel, it was gathered, is the senior pastor of Royal Heritage Arena located at 8, Owolabi Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos, where Obileku and her family had been worshipping.
Findings revealed that Pastor Daniel, who is in his 50s, and a husband to two wives and eight children, had allegedly earlier had some romantic relationship with the girl’s mother, Obileku, who had sought his spiritual help.
Convinced of the pastor’s spiritual prowess, Obileku, who is a resident of 23 Oremeji Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, had earlier taken her teenage daughter, Ogechi, to him for “spiritual counselling” on her decision to venture into modelling.
Pastor Daniel, however, in the course of his ‘mentoring,’ got sexually attracted to the minor, who he later allegedly impregnated and later took for abortion at a hospital near his church.
After the pains of the abortion subsided, the secret romance between the pastor and the teenager was said to have intensified, resulting in a frosty relationship between the cleric and the young girl’s mother, who was also alleged to be his former secret lover.
The development began to adversely affect Ogechi’s relationship with her mother and her other siblings.
Narrating her experience, Obileku told our correspondents that her teenage daughter suddenly became “rebellious and distant” due to the illicit love affair between her and the pastor.
She alleged that sometimes in July, her daughter eloped with the pastor for four days, after she scolded her over some text messages she found on her phone, which she later confirmed were sent to her by the cleric.
Obileku added that as she left home that day, her teenage daughter took along a few of her things and N265,000 cash belonging to her.
She said, “Tunde (Pastor Daniel) destroyed my daughter and turned her against me. I can’t have my daughter to myself anymore. She no longer obeys my instructions. The day she left home, initially it didn’t occur to me she had eloped until late in the evening that day, when I expected her to have returned, but she never came.
“I started asking about her whereabouts from neighbours and some told me that they saw her in the afternoon leaving the house while her younger ones were with me at the shop. She had lied to her younger ones that I needed their attention at the shop, just to send them away from home because of what she had planned to do.
“When I returned home, I searched everywhere for her, and on getting to my room, I found out that the bag I kept my money had been opened and the money had disappeared. Immediately, it dawned on me that my daughter had absconded from home.
Obileku added, “Instantly I called Tunde (Pastor Daniel) to ask him about her, but his number was not going through. So, I went straight to his house. His wives told me that he was not around and I went back home. For four days, my daughter was not with me; she came back with Tunde in the evening of Monday, the following week.
“When she returned, I ordered her to go inside, but she completely ignored me. I was bitter. I told Tunde that he had badly influenced my daughter and she no longer listened to me anymore. But he shouted at me. He then told Ogechi to go inside and she quietly obeyed his (pastor’s) order. I felt seriously disappointed and I started sobbing.”
The teenager’s mother, however, further alleged, “Earlier, in January, before I got the wind of the illicit relationship between my daughter and Pastor Daniel, Ogechi had had a surgery around her abdominal region for what the doctors called ruptured appendicitis. But we later discovered that the operation performed on her was actually for abortion and she almost died.”
She added that the family had to cough up over N360,000 for another surgery to save her daughter’s life as the abortion she had earlier, went awry.
Obileku’s elder brother, Williams Ochei, also alleged, “Pastor has hypnotised my niece with all he has done to her. As I speak with you, she no longer listens to us at home. She’s now deviant, rebellious in her conduct since she has been having illicit affair with the pastor. We expected him to counsel her to have good conduct, when my sister introduced her daughter to him, but unfortunately, he has destroyed her for us.”
Ochei, also said if not for God, the teenager would have died during the abortion she was subjected to by the pastor. He claimed that the family had to spend a lot of money to treat her after the abortion took a dangerous dimension.
A member of the Royal Heritage Arena Church, who pleaded anonymity, said, “We all heard about the case and it’s a surprise that a pastor could do such a heinous thing. We heard that the man took the little girl for abortion after impregnating her and one of her fallopian tubes was damaged and removed in the process. What is the evidence that the two were not affected? The parents and the authorities need to take the matter up.”

On the evolution of fashion, Ike opines, “The truth is learning about new styling ideas is what keeps the fashion wheel spinning. It allows me to show off, not only the dressing style, but it provides an opportunity to set trends.”

In July this year, I finally got accepted into Harvard Business School for my master’s degree, after trying for five years and getting rejected. Yes! The prestigious Ivy League University.
“God is awesome; he has done so much for me, looking at all my achievements so far. His grace has been with me all through. Doors that people said would never open, opened for my sake.”

Romance / What I Will Do About Maina’s Case – Buhari by agba1900: 5:00pm On Nov 02, 2017

President Muhammadu Buhari has promised not to sweep the case involving the embattled former pension boss, Abdulrasheed Maina, under the carpet.

He said this on Wednesday night through his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, when he featured on Channels Television’s Politics Today.

Buhari said: “As far as the government is concerned, it (Maina’s case) is an unraveling matter.

“The last you heard officially from the government was that he was ordered to be disengaged from service and a report was asked for, that report came in and the President has it.

“So, until the President gets back to Nigerians, you can’t say the matter is closed or it is swept under the carpet,” he added.

Maina, who was accused of mismanaging of about N2 billion pension fund, was reinstated into the Federal Civil Service after he was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

His reinstatement had sparked criticism from Nigerians, a development which some claimed prompted President Buhari to order his immediate dismissal.

Reacting to anticipations that the government will order a probe into the incident, Adesina said President Buhari only demanded a report on the circumstances that led to Maina’s readmittance into the public service.

“Nigerians love probe, you can’t call that a probe; he’s just asking for a report that led to the circumstance, it’s not a probe,” he insisted.

On the next action from the Presidency, the presidential aide said: “A couple of days ago you gave a timeline on the former SGF and the former DG NIA issue.”

“And you gave it point after point, dateline after dateline – from the April 19 suspension to the submission of the report on August 23, and then on October 29 you had the feedback. So, that tells you that things are never swept under the carpet in this administration; you’ll get a feedback on it,” he added.

Adesina also spoke on the leaked memo in which the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Oyo-Ita, claimed she had warned of the implication of reinstating Maina into the service when she met with the President.

He said although he had not confirmed if the meeting truly held between President Buhari and Oyo-Ita, he would not make any comment until the HoS acknowledges that the memo came from her office.

“Let her authenticate what is in the public domain that it really came from her. When she owns that memo supposedly written by her, then we’ll take it from there,” he said.

Politics / SGF Mustapha Speaks About How We Wants To Be Addressed by agba1900: 4:53pm On Nov 02, 2017
http://www.thepointng.com/sgf-mustapha-speaks-about-how-we-wants-to-be-addressed/
The new Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has described ‘Executive Governor’, ‘Your Excellency’ appellations commonly used in Nigeria as unconstitutional.

He also said he would prefer to be addressed simply as ‘The SGF’ without the prefix of ‘Your Excellency’.

Boss Mustapha stated this yesterday as he received handover documents from former acting SGF, Dr. Habitat Lawal.

He described some nomenclatures used to glorify high offices in Nigeria as banana peels.

“I will make a passionate appeal. I don’t know where you people get this ‘Your Excellency’ from. Some of the nomenclatures are banana peels.

“I often hear people say ‘Executive Governor,’ I say look at the constitution, there is nothing like executive governor. It is Governor of a state,” Mustapha said.
