@ Cheksa, I'd be more than willing to do so. Since she gave me to give to northern candidates, I guess its become public information. Do post your e-mail address.

@ Nkenke & Cheksa, Good day and thanks for at least keeping the thread alive. A friend of mine whose med coincided wit his ICAN exams applied for it to be rescheduled. It was granted on the condition that his would come at the end of the med exercise in June laying credence to the fact that the last has not been heard of the med iv's.
On the northern candidates issue, I did mention that the commercial team lead in the spirit of diversity and inclusiveness did give her cards for such Northern friends of ours to send their Cv's to her (commercial) and to some other person whose e-mail address she gave us for technical graduates. What I cannot confirm is whether such technical graduates are for the present/ongoing SITP.
I wish us all the best as we look forward to the days ahead with high HOPES and EXPECTATIONS.

Hello Fellow hopefuls. An interesting dimension to the whole thing is the ongoing crisis at Warri nay the Niger Delta. What effect is it likely to have on the process i.e medicals, offer and eventual resumption of training at Edjeba?? I am inclined to believe that it is unlikely that the programme will commence in an inclement weather. Dont you all think so? Whatever, let Gods plan take pre-eminence. But it will go down in the anals of SITP that this year's ran into stormy weather. One is hoping that with GOD'S divine autopilot, we sha'nt crash land. That much sentiment has been expressed, herein, and it can only continue. Comrades, I enjoin us to keep it aflame.
Lest I forget, fellow hopefuls who had undergone medicals, I have not heard any one discuss the documents we were made to sign b4 commencement of the medicals. What are the implications? I perceive that it takes indemnity from shell if it rejects anybody on medical grounds rather than the charade they fed us as reasons. They are far from cogent as it is unlikely that anybody will be invited for medicals without being successful at the earlier stages. Please do make observations as appropriate.

Yeah fellow hopefuls, I cant but continue with ceaseless prayers. God is not asleep.  HE has HIS plans for everybody and he has told us that its for good. He is also not one to lie. Is there any wonder then why FAVOUR is ours? I guess not.
However, one thing remains clear. It is the bitter fact that all would not be taken. So in the event of an unsuccessful outcome, its still part of GOD'S grand design for whomsoever, So once again, keep an open mind. I cant stress this enough.

@ douecho, your suggestions are quite in order. While it is fair enough to be positive and hope for the best with shell, it is only fairer to oneself to explore other options in view of the fact that the successful candidates far outnumber the available spaces. We should not lose sight of that. Remember; That our statuses indicate final assessment does not in itself mean "absolute success". Its just an indication that you COULD be considered for an offer. PLEASE KEEP AN OPEN MIND. One love,

@ Cheksa, I do not know what you meant by mopping up northerners? I hope it means the same thing I heard from the commercial HR team lead who intimated me that in the spirit of Diversity and Inclusiveness, Shell was presently encouraging applications for the present ongoing commercial recruitment as well as Technical graduates from the north and who were in her words "brilliant like you", referring to the three of us that came 4 medicals that day. She gave us her card and the soft copy of the adverts to call up our northern friends to take advantage of the opportunity. I was wondering, then, that there was no advert 4 technical graduates and since the SITP recruitment process had reached an advanced stage, how were the northern folks going to be incorporated? Even now, I am still wondering. I am only hoping that, in the long run, merit and due process would not be slaughtered on the alter of Diversity & Inclusiveness.
Let me also add that the purported list I claimed I stumbled upon was on the receptionist's system which she used to identify candidates who approached her for meds. It was also in Lagos.
It is only fair that shell comes out with a definite response for all while it makes efforts to state clearly the statuses of every one. That way everyone would be relieved of the palpable anxiety that has become the norm on this thread.
I wish us all, invited and presently uninvited, well in the days ahead. Keep an open mind,

Good day fellow hopefuls. I owe my newbie status to being oblivious of this thread as I thought it was stale. But thanks to Jisola who is a fellow hopeful in Naijahotjobs and who kindly informed me of this forum, I would have remained in the dark. First let me admit that I was one of the first to be invited, precisely the second day set of candidates(3 in number and 2 in the previous) and have since concluded medicals as I am sure Jisola and a few others are already aware. First I must confess that I took time to read the last three pages with bated breath and I must say I understand the tension. My response to your 'worries' even though not enough to douse your subdued feelings, could at least put the records straight.

It is fact that:
First, IVs are being sent in batches as some of my friends received theirs only recently.
Second, It is also fact that about 3 venues (Lagos, Warri and P/H) are earmarked for medicals.
Third, Medicals are scheduled for only Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Fourth, There were 100 SITP candidates last year out of which about 6 withdrew for other opportunities e.t.c.
Fifth, Your statuses from My application page on www.shell.com/careers, if FINAL ASSESSMENT suggests that even though you were successful in the SRD, your application is still subject to further consideration hence not a guarantee of OFFER.

My opinions are:
First, I happen to stumble on the names of invitees for the lagos venue thanks to my rapport with the reception at the venue and they were about 49.
Second, After medicals, the team lead commercial HR told us that we, I guess those who did our medicals then and if successful, would hear from them by month end and that SITP begins in July, IF EVERYTHING GOES AS PLANNED, making me to suggest that the offers may also be in batches.
Third, My SRD coordinator, however told me that "it is almost impossible for a medical invitee not to be taken" and that "Dont put your hopes for offer reply by month end".
Fourth, the team lead commercial HR, told a fellow SRD colleague whose status was FINAL ASSESSMENT that "you Know that if there are 3 spaces for 8 to fill something has to give way.

I hope with these I have been able to clear some misconceptions and doubts and to reaffirm that some more would be called but likely not all.

In addition to these and in response to @douecho, a friend of mine who had a professional exam on his medicals day called to postpone his. It was granted and shifted till June after others would have finished. Also, the latest info from @cheksa lends credence to the fact that some had/have to be picked from the succesful ones. I was wondering what criteria they used/are using to determine would be employees? It is my hope and wish that God, the ULTIMATE PLANNER, shall fulfil our dreams and aspirations according to HIS wishes and ultimate plans for each and every one of us.
