Music/Radio / Re: Beyonce's "Irreplaceable" Is Interesting by aibeezy: 2:21am On Feb 10, 2007
At JosBoy4Lif Hey its a commercial song. It works. I didnt like the way the song ended but its got really strong melody lines which is what people listen to these days. The lyrics are not terrible. I think some of the best classics have the simplest lyrics,  its not about writing complex lyrics its about writing what people can relate to. The song is selling right now and is the only thing that is really holding Beyonce's album together because women can relate. I know what you mean though, music is on a downward spiral but my take is, instead of rolling around in the shit and being sorry for yourself, you try to work with the shit.  wink My own 2cents.
(let me guess you are in some shape or form involved in the music industry smiley )
Music/Radio / NAYO's African Girl (yay or nay) by aibeezy: 2:15am On Feb 10, 2007
Check out these two Nigerian Artists. I feel like i just found something great but some of you may already know about them,

NAYO: www.myspace.com/nayo

NaetoChucko: www.myspace.com/naetochuko

Your thoughts!
I have to say i am really impressed with the way Nigerian artists are challenging or rather re-inventing the Nigerian music scene. Its exciting! There's a better balance in the news mix of afrocentric/Nigerian beats or lyrics with Western oriented music. I think its really cool. Especially when its original and people are not ripping off other people's lyrics (sorry thats annoying!) These two are definitely very interesting. NAYO especially has been compared to Sade Adu and is getting serious buzz in Ldn. Anyway, just my own spiel! I'd like to know what you think!
Music/Radio / Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now? by aibeezy: 2:10am On Feb 10, 2007
Right now i'm shuttling between Blues and Jazz

Nat King Cole's: The Very Best of Nat King Cole

Madeleine Peyroux's: Careless Love

And this new Nigerian Artist, found her music on myspace and downloaded it online. Her name is NAYO "African Girl". I think she's someone to look out for big time, www.myspace.com/nayo.

Let me know what y'all think.
