Politics / Wikileaks: Yar’adua Died Of Lung Cancer And Churg Strauss Syndrome, Us Cables by ajirebi20: 3:12am On Sep 04, 2011 |
WikiLeaks: Yar’Adua Died Of Lung Cancer And Churg Strauss Syndrome, US Cables Confirm Posted: September 2, 2011 - 17:58 Late Nigerian leader Umaru Yar'adua By SaharaReporters, New York A deadly combination of lung cancer and the auto-immune disease, Churg Strauss Syndrome, accounted for the death of Umaru Yar’Adua in May 2010, according to a new Wikileaks cable released by the whistle-blower website. The release of this information, part of 251,287 cables on the website of the whistleblower, comes as his wife, the former First Lady, Turai Yar’Adua, may herself be terminally ill as well. Turai returned from Saudi Arabia last week and may be headed for the United Kingdom for medical care as she is she is reported to be suffering from ovarian cancer, the latest in a series of calamities besetting the political and biological families of the late leader since his death. Wikileaks’ revelations about Yar’Adua’s health issues tally with SaharaReporters’ previous exposés on his health, beginning in 2007 when Mr. Yar’Adua made a prolonged trip to Germany in connection with his failing health. The new cable, which was created in 2009 by US Ambassador Robin Sanders, identified Peter Galle, a German doctor and the Director of Internal Medicine at Universitats Medizin in Mainz, a city where Yar’Adua went for his last medical trip in Germany, as revealing that he diagnosed Yar’Adua with terminal lung cancer sometime in April 2008. Dr. Galle was surprised that Yar’Adua had survived longer than expected. He also told US officials that reports of other ailments, such as Churg-Strauss syndrome and liver problems, were "accurate." This verifies SaharaReporters revelations that Yar’Adua had Churg Strauss disease. It was in October 2008 that SaharaReporters revealed that Yar’Adua had terminal lung cancer in addition to Churg Strauss. And on November 26, 2009, Yar’Adua's doctor, Barau Banye disclosed that Yar’Adua was suffering from "acute pericarditis" but that said he had responded "remarkably well" to treatment. Yar’Adua was a chain smoker and had continued smoking after he was diagnosed, according to a family source. In April 2011, Yar’Adua's first daughter, Maryam, lost a contest for the Katsina Central seat in the House of Representatives. The seat was previously occupied by her husband, Badamosi Kabir, but he has been in a London hospital since January when he fell into a diabetic coma. Yar’Adua's brother, Lt. Colonel, Audu Abdullazeez, popularly known as "Audu Soja," also lost his election in April as a deputy gubernatorial candidate of the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC), in Katsina State. On the political front: • Yar’Adua’s key confidante, former Delta State Governor James Ibori, is in prison in the United Kingdom awaiting trial following his extradition from Dubai, UAE to face money laundering charges. Y • Yar’Adua's former Attorney General, Aondoakaa, is marooned in his village in Benue State after he was humiliated out of office; banned by a judge from running for public office; stripped of his SAN title for two years; and had his United States visa revoked. Aondoakaa is now a rice farmer in his village; • The powerful former Chief Economic Adviser to Yar’Adua, Tanimu Kurfi, is virtually in hiding, although he was sighted recently in New York; and • The former Principal Presidential Secretary, Mr. David Edevbie, is wanted in the United Kingdom to answer criminal charges. The only Yar’Adua era appointee still in government is Mrs. Farida Waziri who enjoys protection from Goodluck Jonathan's powerful Minister of Petroleum Resources, Diezani Allsion Madueke. The oil minister is the leader of the Jonathan cabal, which consists of the National Security Adviser, Owoeye Azazi; the Inspector General of Police, Hafiz Ringim; the Attorney General, Mohammed Bello Adoke; Nigerian’s aviation minister, Stella Oduah-Ogiemwonyi , Prof. Isoun Turner and Senator Emmanuel Paulker of Bayelsa state. http://saharareporters.com/news-page/wikileaks-yar%E2%80%99adua-died-lung-cancer-and-churg-strauss-syndrome-us-cables-confirm |

AjanleKoko: That tells you everything you need to know. I have friends, graduates, doing teller work in Nigerian banks, and I tell you I would hire a HS graduate from America before I hire these guys and most went to Unilag for engineering and graduated 2:1 and 2:2. In the US, teller work is mostly done by HS graduates in need of money before college or as a part-time job by college kids looking for extra change. No reasonable graduate would do that job for significant number of time, at least not for a living. Even at that, the people I'd seen doing that job in Nigeria were as incompetent as podunk. But in Nigeria, that is what college grads are good for. Most can't even excel at the job. They lack the resourcefulness and independence that you'd expect from a college graduate. I know of a college grad from OAU with a degree in business studies I wouldnt hire to work as a teller for me. The cases are scary and they are real and just pathetic. That said, if I was a graduate of a Nigerian university, I still wouldnt hire myself. Knowing what I know now, it is funny that Nigeria is even allowed to run universities. PS: To all haters, I am not talking about the Nigerian brain, here I am talking about the system and the people charged with preparing the future leaders. The system is broken. The ordinary Nigerian is smart, but the mentality and preparation are nothing to write about. |

Dbanj go on with your collabo, let them cry themselves dry, And BTW, P'square or whatever you call yourselves, please return your Yoruba wives to their right owners, it is about time |

ifyalways: Ifyalways, you are talking to your baba-oko like this ? Pekele pekele? anyway, you are now a persona-non-grata in the family. Ricky_Ross: Yeah right. Who will starve first if Dbanj stops singing? Me thinks Ndigbo would starve. Was it Don Jazzy and his ugly Igbo voice that collaborated with Snoop? Was it Don Jazzy and his ugly Ndigbo face and shapeless Ndigbo body that appeared on the same stage with Kanye in London? Was it DOn Jazzy and his ugly igbotic hand and illiterate igbo brain that signed a contract with G.O.O.D music label? I can go on and on, but I will stop here. Sai Yoruba brain Yorubas lead, Ibos follow like malu. |

234GT: I was talking about mental training. Most Nigerian graduates are just not there, actually all of them. It is a shame that Nigerian universities are allowed to admit students at all. most are not more than glorified middle-schools in the West. My HS nephew here has more common sense that all the Nigerian graduates I have seen so far. It is really pathetic the state of our education. I will never hire ANYONE who graduates from a Nigerian school. Niger graduates are far more safer. Again I am sorry to be so blunt. I am a sucker for truth. |
