It took almost a month.yes, I went for an interview.

How long did it take your application before the visa was granted and were you called for any interview.
It's urgent.

you don't need all those stress, go to any high court and legalize your documents, then you have to post it to skvc in Lithuania for them to evaluate your study program then after they will give you a certificate to start your admission process" .

Thanks very much

which university did you apply for and i can't figure out what you mean by double legalization.

Tourism and hotel management at Kaunokolegija university of applied sciences. I was told I have to do double legalization, that's I have to first legalize my documents in my home country, that's first legalization then second legalization I have to legalize my documents at Lithuania diplomatic mission or consular post, consular department of the ministry of foreign affairs of the republic of Lithuania.
Also send my documents to Lithuania center for quality assessment in higher education for recognition before I can post my documents to the school for admission. Do I really have to do all that ?

But I want it made know to you that (1st) their is know job in Lithuania I knew already so if you plan to go and hustle there please rethink cos I already thought about it. (2nd) if you reside in Africa esp. Nigeria you which to study in Lithuania pls consider the expenses cos getting a Turkish visa bros knw be moi moi and planning your trip can cost you much(India may be wise but i don't know much about their process). the advantage is that you can easily immigrate to other Western Europe either to further your studies with scholarship and may easily get a job upon completion. So Please plan ahead very very well. I spent so much that I ask if its worth the stress, but yet to find out.
If you have any question about the whole process kindly ask, I will be here to guide and direct all and update you as my studies commerce from August 28th.[/quote]

Hello to everyone. Please I desperately need help. I'm working in Thailand. I came with a tourist visa but later changed to a work visa and I'm presently working as an English teacher here. Got all my legal documents. I'm planning to apply for my student visa this January. My main problem is that I don't know how to convince the VO that I'm going to leave Canada after my studies since I'm not applying from home. And since I entered Thailand for tourism but didn't leave the country.
Also my present employment has no link with what I'm going to study. Going for business study. Will I have any problem with regards to that? Please house help me because I'm seriously confused.
Thanks

Eke40seven:

He should call the office up to know what other thing he may be in required to take along or simply visit their office, it shouldn't be far at all from his residence because they are in every LG.
The documents may slightly vary for each offices or even in individual cases (my sponsor said he was told to bring evidence of the payment of his child's fees and some other things I don't understand)
However, generally, I think he is suppose to take along his international passport or may be residence permit, and his bank statement.
Generally, you are required to earn at least a net amount of €1500 monthly.
Hope you find it useful.
Good luck!

Very useful,thanks

Eke40seven:

My friend Seunstein, was at the embassy recently and he saw someone who specifically went to make enquiries about the same issue and he was told categorically that its not allowed or won't be accepted.
Anyone with contrary experience can narrate his/her own experience

Well, my advise is that if you take the decision at the end of the day make sure you apply for STUDENT visa instead of language visa and in addition to that in my OWN OPINION, try to apply for schools and take the evidence of your applications and acceptance when going for your interview as further proof of your genuine intents and evidence that you are actually going to school after your language studies.

Tell him to go to the alien/foreigners office in his administrative unit or local government and book appointment (I think booking appointment in Berlin is done online, he can clarify that), scan the data page of your passport and some may ask for a scan copy of your admission letter and some may not ask.

My 2 cowries!

God bless you all!
Thanks very much bros

Hello Eke, I understand your plight currently and I wish I could help. So I went to ask some of the africans living in my dorm to clearify the stuffs as I didn't actually used a sponsorship letter. It doesn't take months to get. First, you have to know that your sponsor must be living legally in Germany and must earn up to a certain amount of money e.g 1500 Euros for some cities but the thing with most sponsors is that their stay is not legal or they don't earn enough to qualify as sponsors. I think the longest time it will take to get this letter is a week or thereabout. I will also advice you to let your sponsor write a letter to the consulate stating that he will be giving you money. If he really wants to help let him go the extra mile of also providing his pay slip to you, all this will be very convincing when you reapply. From the Information I gathered, your sponsor should go to the foreign office in his city, they will give him a form to fill and it should contain his personal information including how much he earns in some sort of a payslip. All other information he needs concerning you, he will contact you as there's a chance for him to go home with this form. I am trying to call terry01, he used a sponsor and he was successful but he's not picking his calls and I don't understand the blah blah blah they speak at the end of the call. I don't think he's active here much. I might see him in school tomorrow hopefully and I will ask him more about it but I mentioned him here, so I hope he see it and also reply you. Don't give up...Good things don't come easy. I know within me that Germany needs people like you and I hope a miracle happens for you to pull through... Alles gute!

Please do the person also need to go along with his bank statement? I mean to apply for the sponsorship letter. Danke

It depends on the school. Some schools gives you time frame for their response on their web page. Some don't. So it depends. U
Could also ask the schools you applied to.

Thanks very much
