Politics / Re: GEJ To Use Executive Order For The Removal Of Fuel Subsidy by AlanF100: 10:11am On Dec 05, 2011 |
Beaf: Dear Mr. Beaf please can answer the simple question every impoverished Nigerian is asking President GEJ since you always hold brief for him. Does subsidy removal mean increase in our costs of living or not? We are happy if President Jonathan is trying to correct some “wrongs” as long as his actions are only targeted at the so called cartel. We are children of history as far as “subsidy removal” is concerned and we know the only thing that ever changed, as they increased the pump price of petroleum products, is that our roads got worse, hospitals got more dilapidated, and loots reassigned. We don’t care what he does to the cartel because we know they are his friends. They donated to his campaign and most of them are on his Economic team. Tell President Jonathan the only thing we care about is our survival. No to pump price increase No to increase costs of living |

blink182: Dont be too sure nothing will happen. People are already poor, many unemployed living from hands to mouth. People are loosing their humane nature day by day, further actions to impoverish the people may bring unprecedented explotion of bottled-up frustrations across the land. You will be surprised when the armed personnel start giving tactical supports to the Masses because they are also victims of the oligarchy looting that has kept millions in poverty. This subsidy issue might just be the beginning of Nigeria balkanization finally! |

fegflu: You are not making any sense at all. If you want to praise IBB for being a "successful soldier" considering the circumstances and ethos of the Army he served in fine. But what did he do with the power he snatched? How did he affect the populace with the powers? What legacies did he leave behind; what comes to mind everytime his name is mentioned? How did he perform compared to his predecessor? IBB may be a success in the "jungle" because he is a ruthless beast but he is an absolute failure in the homosapiens world of positive impacts |

werepeLeri: U are a bloody liar, While your likes are leaking azzss to make a living Sowore and other few patriots are making sacrifices to fight and expose the rots in the system. Not many, among those born of women, would still remain on their feet, shouting, if allowed to taste some of the bitter pills he had to swallow while occupying the exalted office of President of the Student Union of the institution. It was during his tenure that a battle line was drawn between cult members and law abiding students at Akoka. Taking the bull by the horns, he led the struggle in his own domain at the without any doubt, the cultists were put on the back foot. For the 'Great Akokites" and the generality of Nigerian undergraduates, this was a monumental victory. There was a new lease of life, freshness was in the air, and like many other students, he was in his room preparing for a semester examination when the story line changed and this happened: 'Cult members numbering 150, at about 6: 30pm on Friday March 11, 1994 attacked me. But hang on a minute, that wasn't all. 'I was stripped naked, stabbed on my head and injected with unknown chemical substances," before the very students he fought for, rescue, http://nigeriaworld.com/feature/publication/oyedoyin/2003/021703p.html |

This guy called BEAF has totally lost it! This guy is always on NL 24/7 defending Jonathan;even when it is clear GEJ is a proponent on sustained corruption. How can he come here and be asking people to match against the same "GEJ"? Something terrible is residing inside this dude. I have gone from looking forward to the day I can beat this idiot up to pitying his health condition. No sane man can diplay all this kind of duplicity. Beaf: Beaf you don craze finish ooo. U, and every enlightened individual knows at least 60% of the people you are taking advantage of in your pictures are from ND area. I have lived/worked in Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross-Rivers, Akwa-Ibam and Lagos and your pictures could have been taken in any of those states. In fact if there is anything they all have in common: it is the pictures you have posted. Lagos only has more slums than others because of its population and continued migration of people from every part of the country towards Lagos. Why have you chosen to earn your livelihood by deriding your own people? You didnt even make effort to protect their identities. Why are you this callous and inconsiderate? |

Why is GEJ government statements always dogged with controversies and inconsistencies? The sources of this news are clearly credible and some form of agreement must have been handed-out by FGN. Jonathan should take a stock of all approved/proposed projects and MoD with his eggheads and make sure everyone understands what is happening where and when. I cant stop wondering what these people do in their offices from 8:30am to 5pm everyday. |

Omo_Tier1: My brother I understand your plight. Many like you have been denied the opportunity of fairly making it to top Nigerian Companies (like NLNG) and tend to be bitter with those who have the opportunity. But I have a good news for you. I am as "poor" and "unconnected" as you are if not more. Do not allow emotion to overrun your reasons. I am not from "quota areas" and got my place through due application, rigorous selection and fair decisions. The system, as I observed, was not 100% fair but surelly commoners like u and I can still compete with the rich-kids and get to the "top". I have since moved-on with my live completelly now a Geo with another multi. Dont sit down and believe the rich will always grab all the opportunity without giving them a good fight for their money. Natural-gas processing begins at the well head. The composition of the raw natural gas extracted from producing wells depends on the type, depth, and location of the underground deposit and the geology of the area. Oil and natural gas are often found together in the same reservoir. The natural gas produced from oil wells is generally classified as associated-dissolved, meaning that the natural gas is associated with or dissolved in crude oil. Natural gas production absent any association with crude oil is classified as “non-associated.” In 2004, 75 percent of U.S. wellhead production of natural gas was non-associated.[citation needed] Most natural-gas production contains, to varying degrees, small (two to eight carbons) hydrocarbon(any class of compound containing only hydrogen and carbon; examples include methane gas (CH4), benzene (C6H6), and butane (C4H10). Although they exist in a liquid state at underground pressures, these molecules will become gaseous at normal atmospheric pressure. Collectively, they are called condensates or natural gas liquids (NGLs). The natural gas extracted from coal reservoirs and mines (coalbed methane) is the primary exception, being essentially a mix of mostly methane and carbon dioxide (about 10 percent). A natural-gas processing plantNatural-gas processing plants purify raw natural gas produced from underground gas fields or extracted at the surface from fluids produced by oil wells. A fully operational plant delivers pipeline-quality natural gas that can be used as fuel by residential, commercial and industrial consumers. In the plant, contaminants are removed and heavier hydrocarbons are captured for other commercial uses. For economic reasons, however, some plants may be designed to yield an intermediate product typically containing over 90% pure methane and smaller amounts of nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and sometimes ethane. This can be further processed in downstream plants or used as feedstock for chemicals manufacturing wikipeadia See Google pictures to see what NLNG and Bonny Island look like. As you will see they dont need to go to India to do anything http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&sugexp=gsih&cp=4&gs_id=e&xhr=t&q=nlng&gs_sm=&gs_upl=&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1440&bih=883&wrapid=tljp131849826415606&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi#um=1&hl=en&tbm=isch&sa=1&q=nigeria+lng+train+7&oq=Nigeria+LNG&aq=6S&aqi=-S8&aql=1&gs_sm=e&gs_upl=20148l22804l0l29672l11l10l0l0l0l0l325l1255l4.2.1.1l8l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&fp=c6a818b6d37f171&biw=1440&bih=883 |

unclenna: Can somebody close this thread please. Moderator or the creator Because we have the dullest leadership in history doesn’t mean we should be distorting facts. NLNG is probably the only successful mega-investment, money-making machine Nigeria has succeeded in institutionalising in the last 20 years. I interned in NLNG and can easily fault your claim. As at my time they had 6 trains and the 7th train was under construction. LNG Trains are complicated series of refining (distillation) columns. While trains remove unwanted elements from the “crude gas” petroleum refinery does the same thing to “crude oil”. Raw/crude gas from oil fields are gathered by massive pipes and taken to the NLNG trains where the refining is done and the most important products Liquefied natural gas, Liquefied petroleum gas, etc are exported to foreign nations where gas is most need for their cold weather. NLNG have their own ships (controlled by a subsidiary company) and they don’t have to go to India to do anything. Report to moderator 62.252.55.100 |

alj_harem: I stronglly believe Beaf = PointB and he leaves in Nigeria. Begging him to advise GEJ against the planned subsidy removal is a waste of time because that is completelly outside his purview. He was recruited to DEFEND GEJ/PDP ONLY and nothing more or less. While subsidy removal is not an absolutelly bad idea but history has thought us that it always leaves us worse than we were and makes the rich richer. Whatever possible gains accruable from subsidy removal (as being pontificated by Economic pedants) is not applicable to poor Nigerians. You can not shy away from corruption by the rich (past and present) and prioritise policies that make the poor poorer. It time for us to start organising ourselves in groups. We all need to support Labour Unions and be ready to fight the though battle against the rich. For all they care, we can all go to hell, as long as their households lack nothing. |

Politics / Re: Buhari,the Mistakes ,the Lessons. by AlanF100: 1:17pm On Oct 08, 2011 |
sirjec: My brother you did not start your research about NL political inclinations from the beginning. In the beggining majority of NLs loved, supported, campaigned, defended and in fact matched for Jonathan. NLders like me felt he represented a break form the past, well-educated, from a minority ND, with less public controversies but like any reasonable/dispassionate voters we started watching him and his actions. He did not waste time to show us he is a complete opposite of all we thought he was. I will start listing if you insist. We had no reasonable choice than to start comparing him with his oppponents and anyway you looked at it he was clearly the least of the packs. I also contributed money to campaign for Buhari and still believe Jonathan should be supported after winning the election. But the unfolding truth about Jonathan is that he just have nothing to offer and many people are confused on how to support him. sirjec: It is not out of place to primarilly commend Buhari (and secondarilly his boss) for dutifully discharging tasks attached to his portfolio. This is a nation where the norm is almost always for money budgetted for projects ending up in private pockets. The likes of Okonjo, Ezekwezile, Dora, Ribadu, Soludo, El-Rufai, Nnaji, Banire, Ogunlewe, etc have been celebrated for, impacting on peoples lifes, simply discharging their duties against our normal expectations. So why should Buhari's own be different? Johndoe100: Bros u are joking. Some of you think you are the only ones from the ND and have taken it upon yourselves to always give Jonathan unalloyed supports even when he is glaringlly wrong. Why not let both of us play a game and track it. Let's start monitoring all developmental projects that have been started/ being executed in the ND by the current Jonathan-led government of ~2 years and we compare with existing developmental projects in ND that were completed by HOS from other parts of the country within the same period of time. Then we shall have parameters to proudly assert why it is always better to have "our son" (good or bad) in Aso Rock than championing the best candidates win irrespective of where they come from. |

Ijogz K: I am not Evil Brain. Could I ask you what is suspiciuos about me? dagboss: I am aware of GEJ men on NL; both self-appointed and paid. There is nothing new or bad about GEJ men noseing-around popular internet fora like NL; as long as they make positive use of the abundant opportunities and information therein. It is to their benefits when people freely discuss burning national issues in a forum like this. All they have to do is watch, take notes, compare notes and take actions. Many people are unrepentant cynics and will never see anything right in any Govt. policies while some are intelligent problem-solvers always proffering possible solutions to myriad of national ills currently plaguing the nation. My point is BEAF should not be encouraged (by giving him unnecessary attention) to derail all threads that question govt. economic/social/political policies that affect peoples life. |

nuclearboy: I have always warned people to stop expecting any logical conversation with BEAF. Watch him! People start thought-provoking threads about ills in our national lives; he jumps on the thread “pretending” to be God-assigned GEJ Angel Gabriel. He does everything to derail such threads, swaying discuss away from the main issue. He incites insults and strives to make everyone loose focus. If you love GEJ, and you wish our people well under his regime IGNORE BEAF and discuss issues dispassionately. You give him too much attention; his ratings with the ‘fools’ soar and he smiles to bank for doing the dirty job and you and I pay for allowing him to derail intelligent discussions. |

Please All! Ignore Beaf if you really value human lives and here to involve in objective discuss. Beaf has been given an open/advanced cheque to destroy Jonathan. His sole aim and method is to brainwash/misinform and unltimatelly derail intellectual discuss that could throw-up possible solutions to burning national issues (for Jonathan "dresser") that might be loooking at fora like this to monitor people's feelings toward their boss. There is no doubt about the reach of NL' (and similar news-source') discussions. Series of honest outburst on serious national issues like this have definitely been reaching Jonathan inner circle and making people like Beaf irrelivant. Back to the main issue. Please if you leave in Abuja stay away from any National building or gathering. It doesnt matter who sent the mail what is important is for lives to be saved. Threat like this, more often than not, always come to pass. Jonathan should please stay in Aso-Rock and reinforce his security. Let's hold our breath and pray this particular cup pass over us.,.,., |

Abeg make una stop crying oooo. On this same forum some of us did all we could to dissuade people for voting for GEJ. Many of us that were even supporting him in the beggining realised he has nothing to offer. We spent our money, dedicated our own time and energy to make majority see his opponents are still better than him (based on their past achievements and inclinations). U all defied reasons and voted with your heart instead of your head. This is someone who has been in different positions of authority for 12 years and we could not find a single landmark achievement to attribute to him. Its too late to make any amend now; we all have to suffer the consequences of our actions and inactions. Please I want to employ the critics to tone-down on GEJ. From this speech which literarilly came from the bottom of his heart he has lost it and might just break-down if things continue getting worse. Like I always say we have no other nation to call our own. Please NLders should mellow down of their criticisms if you dont want another President to mud on the thrown. And GEJ is very delicate piece considering the way he got to power and his root. Na beg I dey beg ooo. Give GEJ some slacks oooo |
