Million Raw Cash Found In The Home Of
Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-
Madueke // Font size:
When one realises what is happening
around Nigeria’s Petroleum Minister, Mrs
Diezani Alison-Madueke, one will be tempted
to imagine the type of possible stealing and
corruption going on within the Federal
Government of Nigeria which certainly is
mind boggling.
Information available on
www.gongnews.net claims that $700 million
was allegedly found in the house of
Nigeria’s Minister of Petroleum Resources,
Mrs. Diezani Alison Madueke.
The huge sum in foreign currency was
discovered recently by some security agents
while conducting a search of the house of
one her aides who resides within the
minister’s house, but who allegedly stole $10
million from the Minister.
Police…stopped from following up on the
suspects
Madueke, according to source admitted to
the ownership of the huge sum of $700
million. “She must have kept that very
particular money in her aide’s apartment,
because the unnamed aide is said to be one
of the trusted one among others”, our
source stated.
It was further gathered that when this
discovery was reported to President
Goodluck Jonathan, the president felt so sad
and disappointed, he immediately invited
Diezani Alison Madueke to his office for
questioning and rebuked her

The President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari,
has said he does not know if the kidnapped
Chibok girls can be rescued because their
whereabouts is still unknown.
He, however, promised that his government
would rescue them if they were still alive.
Buhari said this in a statement to mark the
first year anniversary of the kidnap of 276
schoolgirls from Government Secondary
School, Chibok, Borno State by the extremist
Islamic sect, Boko Haram on April 14, last
year.
In the statement which he personally
signed on Monday, Buhari said, “As we
remember the kidnap of the girls, it is time
to reflect on the pain and suffering of the
victims, their friends and families on
account of the heinous crime.”
The President-elect assured Nigerians,
particularly the parents of the missing girls,
that when his administration “assumes
office at the end of May, it will do everything
it can to defeat Boko Haram.”
According to him, his administration will act
differently from the government it is
succeeding adding that, he will not only
listen to the cry of anguish of citizens, he
will also respond accordingly.
Buhari said, “This new approach must also
begin with honesty. We do not know if the
Chibok girls can be rescued. Their
whereabouts remain unknown.
“As much as I wish to, I cannot promise
that we can find them. But I say to every
parent, family member and friend of the
children that my government will do
everything in our power to bring them
home.
“What I can pledge, with absolute certainty,
is that starting on the first day of my
administration, Boko Haram will know the
strength of our collective will and
commitment to rid this nation of terror and
bring back peace and normalcy to all the
affected areas.”

Buhari’s Transition Team
The traveller vowed two years ago to trek
from whereever he was to the capital of
Nigeria, Abuja, if General Buhari emerges
the winner of the poll in 2015.
The planned journey is long and hot:
according to Google maps, it is over
700km.
Hasheem went to get a police report to
allow for an unimpeded journey but could
not wait and so the DPO gave him his
phone number. Despite several warnings
from friends, and at the same time
encouraged by friends and loved ones, he
continued from Ibadan to Oyo. Then from
Oyo to Ogbomoso. And from Ogbomoso
to Ilorin with much welcome at every
stop.
At Ilorin, people escorted him for several
miles until he stopped at Oloru. He
received much hospitality in Jebba, where
unlike in other villages he met people who
had heard of him.
About 20 people set off with him from
Jebba and after some miles 18 turned
back, but the other two were more
strong-minded. They encountered armed
robbers close to Makwa, although
fortunately he had already met one of
them in Jebba, and the would-be robber
ended up giving him 200 Naira for pure
water.
He continued his trip from Mkwa to Kudu
and then to Kutigi. He is now in Kutigi and
will continue his journey to Bida
tomorrow by the grace of God.
Culture / The True Ethnicity Of The People Of Bida By Aliyu Mantafien by aliyumantafien(m): 11:00am On Apr 14, 2015
THE TRUE ETHNICITY OF THE PEOPLE OF BIDA BY ALIYU MANTAFIEN

The true ethnicity of the people of Bida is
virtually undecipherable. The present people
of Bida are not Fulani, Nupe, Yoruba, Igala,
Hausa, Igbira, Kanuri, Arab, etc, etc – they are
all these various people combined in one.
Bida is a melting pot, to borrow an
American epithet, of all these people from all
parts of ancient Nigeria and beyond.
In the beginning the population of Bida was
hundred percent Bini. But that was in those
days when Bida was a small, walled, Bini
village much the same as the neighbouring
villages of Doko, Gaba, Zhima, Kuchi,Mantafien,Edozhigi etc. That
was in the days before the Dendo dynasts
came and transformed Bida into the capital
city of their emirate.
Bida used to be the throne-town of the
kings of the Binis whose royal title was
‘Binida’ or, simply, ‘Bida’. It was said that the
village used to have its proper name which
is now lost to history because it came to be
identified as the ‘Town of the King’ or
‘Binida’ or ‘Bida’. This is much the same way
that the name ‘Medina’, ‘The City of the
Prophet’, came to overshadow the original
name ‘Yathrib’.
In any case the population of Bida was
entirely made up of Bini in those pre-Dendo
dynastic days.

Culture / Taraba State Governoship Election Results By (aliyu Mantafien A.k.a Engr Aliox) by aliyumantafien(m): 9:42am On Apr 14, 2015
Aliyu Mantafien The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Saturday’s governorship election in Taraba state inconclusive. INEC Returning Officer for the election, Professor Muhammad Kariey, said there has to be a supplementary election because the total number of votes rejected and cancelled were more than the total votes with which the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Darius Ishaku, led the runner- up, the All Progressives Congress’ Aisha Al-Hasan. According to the returning officer the difference between the PDP and the APC is 54,881, while the rejected votes from some troubled areas are over 100, 000 votes. He said a supplementary election must be held within 30 days. PDP had scored a total of 317,198 votes to APC’s 262,386. Reports say the elections in Donga, Wukari and Zing local governments were cancelled following alleged irregularities. The Taraba governorship election is one of the most keenly contested,
