Education / Re: All ASUU Strike News::1st July-16th December 2013 by alkonami(m): 9:12pm On Dec 08, 2013
lord orochi: I believe that ASUU president is not fair. Christmas is so close and the president of ASUU NAssir faggae is still refusing to call of the strike. How will lecturers who are christains celebrate the christmas? Is it the 1 or 2 bag of rice and other few food stuffs and the merger 50000 they will use to celebrate? People who are used to spending 150000-200000 for the christmas? What can one buy with 50000? If childrens and wife cloth money are removed from that what will be left? What about lecturers who have extended family members in the village waiting for money from them to celebrate the christmas? I can still remember during the sallah celebration ASUU was still been paid by the federal government and the strike wasn't this far gone. So the Muslims enjoyed there sallah celebration and now the christain won't because of faggae's stubbornness for no just reason as I see no reason why the strike shouldn't have been called of since yesterday when government has agreed to pay them and even have document showing that the 200billion Naira has been paid to an account in cbn for them. NAssir faggae should call of this strike now so the christain lecturers should enjoy the Christmas celebration as well. ASUU president should be fair to himself and the whole ASUU lecturers in Nigeria and shouldnt be religiously bias.

Guy I would have said you are stupid but it would be an insult to stupid people. Now answer me..

1. Did nasir fagge unilaterally give order to the unis to go on strike?

2. Does he have the power to call off the strike on his own.

3. I guess you have tv @ home? And I know u watched when all the chairmen of all ASUU chapters declined to call of the strike

4. I hope you know that the fg said anyone who returns to work will be paid, so what are u now saying?

Someone once said ' 10 gods cannot change the opinion of one fool, a fool takes no delight in
understanding but in expressing his opinion'

Bros pls make use of your brain.

Actionleap: From what I learnt, the FG is trying to weed out ghost workers. The people handling the electronics/biometric registration waited in these hospitals like LUTH for a whole month and none of the doctors showed up for the registration. Hence, the FG said if you don't sort out the ghost workers among you, the FG won't be able to pay. Most Nigerians workers (public and private) are very corrupt, yet they scream loudest calling the govt corrupt.

So??

Definition: Love is defined as a state of emotional allure characterised by acute to chronic feelings of affection for the opposite or same gender.

Aetiology
The cause of love is unknown. However, different studies have linked phenotypic features like financial ability, sweet voice, pretty face, firm mammaries, protuding gluteus, smooth hands, nice smell and [s] ability to talk your way into her pants [/s]

Epidemiology
Love occurs worldwide. Widespread incidence across all continents with no geographic predisposition.

It is prevalent in both urban and rural areas.

Occurs in all ages and sex - but higher incidence between 12 and 48 years. Occurs in male and females equally with no genetic predisposition.

However, males have a higher rate of progression than females. grin High risk population are students grin

Pathophysiology
The aetiopathogenetic pathway of love starts from a visual impulse detected by the eye which forms an image of the female on the retina.

This leads to widespread activation of the autonomic nervous system. Parasympathetic activation leads to a transient decrease in heart rate, drooling, and an erec.tile response. grin grin

Subsequent activation of the sympathetic nervous system leads to increased heart rate, sweaty palms and bladder wall relaxation and increased glucose availability via gluconeogenesis and glycogenolysis. Muscles now acquire energy via ATP to move towards the direction of stimilus.

Hello's are said, interest is declared and phone numbers are exchanged which will lead to a date and subsequent strategy for exchange of body fluids grin grin

Clinical features
Transient tarchycardia, sweaty palms, urinary incontinence, drooling, itchy palms, priapism grin

Diagnosis
Love is a clinical diagnosis.

Treatment
It is a self-limiting disease. Patient is advised to allow the disease to run it's full course. cool No definitive treatment.

Prognosis
Positive prognostic factors are diverse for both gender.

For males, best prognostic markers are : money, money, money. angry angry angry

Temporary but good prognostic markers with sweet mouth, good lovemaking skills and caring heart

For females: best prognosis markers with good IQ,good sense of humour, beauty, protruding but appropriate gluteus, heavenly mammaries wink wink

@

no one seems interested in dis question....... well I think it is Chromosomal abnormalities....An Autopsy(to see with one's own eyes) may show malformations, signs of causes cardiopulmonary failure in the heart....faulty valves.. etc ...., an autopsy can also show infection of d menings ( autopsy of the meninges of The brain shows an abnormal condition—
yellow-tan clouding of the meninges, the
three layers of membranes covering the
brain—caused by a viral or bacterial
infection......since d child was healthy there is not possible way he or she could be malnourished...... chromosomal abnormalities is d only option that wouldn't come out in autopsy......DNA testing is very different from autopsy......

@lagusta: Pls if I may ask why do u fink it is cardiopulmonary infection
@alkonami; Pls if I may ask why did you fink the answer is infection of the menings....

Said my ans is/was D.. Chose it because I tnk it may b d cause of this infant's unexplained death,. CP failure May be a cause of sudden infant death syndrome..

But looking critically @ d option given, each of the disease entities can give a pathology which can be seen on autopsy.(D question dey somehow sef)

You chose chromosomal abnormality, u knw d question said ''an apparently healthy child", people with this abnormality don't fall into this category I think,
Which is one of d reasons I doubt ma answer.. So I think the guy that asked d question should be in a better position to give us d answer and reason

fedico21: Hello fellow medics, happy new month. Starting pathology(general pathology) classes tomorrow, below is my first heart breaker grin. Please help me out and with clinical reason.....the answer to the question below.

A 4month year old child was discovered dead by his mother in the morning. He was said to be in a good heath a night before. Autopsy investigation and coroner's report show nothing significant after few days. The pathogenesis of this condition is best explained by

a) malnutrition
b) chromosomal abnormalities
c) known malformations
d) cardiopulmonary failure
e) infections of the meninges.

This death that is unexpected by d History given and unexplained by thorough post mortem is classical of cases of ''Sudden infant death syndrome''........ Most likely aetiology is D.. ..

Bludeville: It is sad but true. The healthcare system in Nigeria is in a very pathetic state and those responsible have refused to accept responsibility
Who are the people responsible??

. They choose instead to blame it on the government and poor facilities
So the facilities in the hospital are world class abi??
and blah blah but the truth is The first thing the hospitals need are new and improved workers. not equipment or facilities.
I know you just want to comment.. You obviously don't know what you are saying.
