There's no cheap flight for that date. I doubt you'll see anything less than 1.5m. Also the earlier you book the better.

To avoid transit visa wahala, avoid flights that have stops in USA. Also avoid flights that have more than one stop in Europe.

So book only flights that have one stop in Europe. It could have a stop in Africa (if you use Egyptair or Ethiopian) but not more than 1 stop in Europe

Good evening everyone
Can someone please add me to Saskatchewan Telegram or WhatsApp group ?

I will be arriving Saskatoon on 10th August with a student visa. I don't have any relation there and no accommodation. Is there any group that I can join?

MumiOlivia:

University of Manitoba. They don't require tuition deposit. But if your course is a Thesis based program, then you have to get a supervisor from the school before you could apply. Getting a potential supervisor no be moimoi. University of Saskatchewan too doesn't require tuition deposit, but it's smae with University of Manitoba.

My refusal letter came in today. First time applicant.
Applied August 26,2021.
Reason is based on personal asset and finance status.
I have already order my GCMS note to see the reasons in details before I re-tackle it.
We move and I know it PPR in my next application.
I will appreciate everyone contribution.
I really appreciate everyone for their efforts and for everything I have learnt so far from this group. The likes of Frankrobbn, makano, lekkibobbe, anon, ketima, tinakem, timenzo etc.
To everyone awaiting I wish you PPR and to those in maple land I wish you all success. We go meet soonest.

Sorry about about.
Let your GCMS arrive you'll be clarified.

But if I may ask, how much did you show?
Both from sponsor's and personal account?

Hello guys, I got my ppr

I am so grateful for this platform. Cos I learnt about it after applying and I some what felt bad that I should have know earlier
So I applied July 11th 2021
Biometric- July 14
Medical request: October 28
Did the medical November 9 and passed November 15

Ppr and bvl came January 4th.

Documents I submitted.

Waec result
Professional courses certificate
Employment letter
Payslips
Statement of Account of sponsor-Father
Letter of Introduction from sponsor employer
Landed property
LOA
Pictures of Family
Sop
Letter of recommendation from present and previous employer
Work id
bSC certificate

I had to send a lot of emails and webform and I actually deferred to January so I was frustrated already.

Even my agent had already given up but God did it. I learnt so much and I appreciate everything.

I wish every other person success by God's grace

Congratulations
That's the kind of news we'll be receiving this year.

But, please eh, how much balance was in your own (personal) account and did you pay school fees before applying for visa?
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by allbestkaima(m): 5:28pm On Jan 09, 2022
Thanks for the response

sweetchi2411:

1. Check the first page of this thread and the documents of people that have been approved and work from there.

2. You should have your school fees, living expenses, flight and some more.

3. Upfront or on request medical. Upfront medical is when you go for your medical exams before it is requested, while some people wait for medical request before they go.

Wait for the gurus to answer for more clarification but Page 1 will really explain a lot if you check.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by allbestkaima(m): 2:01pm On Jan 09, 2022
Please last questions
(1) what exactly are the documents that I'll be getting ready.

(2) How much do I need to have in my bank account before for a successful visa application

(3) I read about medical check in previous messages, when and how is that done?

Thank you.

sweetchi2411:

Start gathering your documents as you wait to be admitted. Once your offer comes, you apply for visa.
Travel / Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 20 by allbestkaima(m): 1:05pm On Jan 09, 2022
I'm not sure this is how to reply a post in Nairaland but I'll try.

I used my Access Bank visa card for the payment.

The second school I applied to said they'll email me a mode of payment in three days time.

I hope that answered your question?

Hello Nairaland. I wish everyone a happy and prosperous 2022.

Please, I just submitted my application to University of Newfoundland for September 2022 intake. I've not been admitted yet, but I have hope.

So, I want to know what's the next step?

Gurus in the house please advise me or direct me to Nairaland thread that has that info. Thanks

. The kind of confidence you speak with ehhhh, one would think you’re speaking from experience.

It takes over a month at least for the funds to be available. Like @olujastro said , it depends on how fast you finish your police registration and get you Social security number then open a bank account, mine got ready in October (3months)

And again, there is no restriction when the funds get to your account, you can send any amount to any account anywhere you like

Cc @stillslim

how can one start the admission process?
is there a general body/organization like we have JAMB here in 9ja that oversees the process
or
is it the university that sets the process?
please i need urgent answer.
anybody who knows how i can start the application can answer.
i want to study in Norway.

You missed one more.Notary Public.

tho its expensive but its good to find out what your school needs. during my time the FHC (fed high court ) CTC sufficed for all the school i applied.
I did my own certification at Federal Ministry of Education and at Ministry of Foreign Affairs both in Abuja.
If you're in Abuja you can go there.

Hi Intending Potsdamers,

This is for your orientation.

Potsdam is a capital city. Just about 15 mins to Berlin. Its not a super interesting place to live in;
- It's a major abode of old and aged people who can't keep up with the youthful life style of Berlin. So they migrate to Potsdam cos it's kinda peaceful.

- The houses a quite cheap but very hard to find. Ranging from 270 upwards. Depends on your choice of apartment and what you are looking for.

- No tourist or recreation places to visit. Speaking from personal view, clubs are also hard to find (clubs are the major places to have fun, as far as i know) People mostly go to berlin to have fun. It's not like there's fun there sha.

- if you mingle with the right people, potsdam could be fun for you.

- UniPotsdam student ID covers transportation in Berlin and Brandenburg. (yes, you can move upandan fr free in these places)

- German foods are blank. No spice, no taste, total waste of energy and emotions.

- Nobody cares about you, so mind your business. Even if you fall from a stairs - they wouldn't care, it's not their business especially when your skin is black. But some people could care though.

- No one cares about your dressing as well - but it could pose a sort of attraction when you wear some pretty short dresses (i mean extra short and revealing) cos of your black skin. People literally look at you in disgust and become ashamed on your behalf. Although, right now, alot of people are walking about shirtless and bras alone. Wch is kind of a soothing sight to behold.. Even when they are not endowed undecided undecided

- Education is quite cool. Depends on your program. Mine is okay but very intensive. (you can't select how many courses to take in a semester - means that you spend exactly 2 years.. Except if you fail. And if you try to prolong the program.. People won't take you seriously cos also all the professors can recognise you. Especially during labs cos we're less than 25)
In some program, you can select and even prolong the duration of your program till Jesus Christ comes.

-Different faculties in different campus. E.g. Art and languages are in main campus AM neuen palais.

- Work is very very hard to get.. If you don't know German. Tbvh. Except you go to Berlin. Wch is not so far. But still hard to get kn berlin as well. It's good to know German. It's the in-thing now to get a job.

- Afro stores are available as well. Berlin and Potsdam. But bring your food (it can't be overemphasised. Especially when they sell packet of Maggi here for 5€.)

- oh yes.. Resident permit is 1yr. Yes.. 1 yr. That meins you have to blocked your account again or show some funds in your account for renewal of the permit. I don't know how much exactly. - people move to Berlin cos of this. Berlin gives 2yrs. But housing is freaking expensive there. About 400€ upwards. Then you have to move from Berlin to Potsdam fr classes - close to 30-45 mins depending on where you are.

- Sadly, i know nothing about Brandenburg or cottbus. Even though part of the region in Potsdam.

I hope this helps.
Pm your questions or ask them here.
PS.. I could reply late.
please i need your private contact mine is 07038038139 of maclaurel@yahoo.com
please contact me i need your help
i got admission at Potsdam on 20th June 2019
