Business / How Will The Top Oil Producing Countries' Economies Perform In 2016? by Almeja: 3:25pm On Mar 18, 2016 |
Nice article I thought I would share about oil production around the world with latest news on prices and production. Also a country-by-country description of the current state of each of the top 11 oil producing countries in the world plus forecasts and analysis on where they will be by year's end. Have a look: http:///HyNidf What do you all think? |
Investment / The Difference Between WTI & Brent by Almeja: 1:31pm On Feb 23, 2016 |
Bit of a random post, but been wondering what the difference between these two massive crude oils is for some time. Came across this article. If you have a few minutes, give it a read through. Lots of news on crude oil lately from the media, part of the reason i was curious myself. http://www.focus-economics.com/blog/difference-between-wti-and-brent Where do you see oil prices going in 2016? Up or down? There must be a floor right? Can't just keep going down. |
Business / Normalizing Iran: What Will Happen To Africa's Oil Exporters? by Almeja: 12:49pm On Jan 22, 2016 |
Hi all, This topic of "Normalizing Iran" i.e. Iran reentering the global economy is huge at the moment as economic sanctions have been dropped and the nuclear deal, etc. I wondered what it might mean, however, for some of the world's big oil exporters since Iran will now be able to export their oil on a mass scale. This is especially interesting, as the prices of oil are, as everyone knows, bottoming out. Anyway, I read an interesting blog post the other day about the impact that "Normalizing Iran" might have on the African oil exporters. It is an interesting subject and I thought I would start a discussion. Here is the article: http://www.focus-economics.com/blog/posts/what-impact-could-the-lifting-of-economic-sanctions-on-iran-have-on-africas-major-oil So, discuss. |
Politics / Re: Africa’s Biggest Economy Defying Currency Critics Chokes Growth by Almeja: 4:12pm On Oct 30, 2015 |
Interesting, as you mentioned, devaluing the currency means a potential stoking of inflation. http://www.focus-economics.com/countries/nigeria/news/inflation/inflation-inches-up-in-september |
