Please do not encourage your child to start to near fire at age. She is too very young to be aware of the dangers of fire and possibly gas explosion because at that age, she is still prone to play with dangerous things. This may happen when you are not at home because you already encouraged it. Try to be a responsible parent.

Good advice!
Let her know she may use the kitchen and do any cooking ONLY if you have granted her permission to cook and strictly under your watchful eyes and supervision. No cooking for whatever reason all by herself.
You are rasing your child well. Kudos!

I'm not saying you are wrong or right. during covid 19, there was lockdown, total lockdown, the world is in mess.

that was the time they decided to install 5g pole . why not wait after the lockdown ? why is it so important they installed 5g at that moment?

well, I don't listen to any pastor . it's just me and my Bible with Jesus close to me. I don't bother with the happening around the world.

Everyday, telcos are always installing equipments and digging up the soil to lay fibre optic cables to connect the 5G sites and backhaul data traffic. It's just that everybody is busy with their day-to-day hustle and would not take notice.

But when there are serious maintenence works or new rollouts or traffic cut-overs that may cause network downtime, these are scheduled on weekends, and deep in the night (off-peak periods) to minimise impact on businesses and users during business hours. Scheduling critical rollouts in COVID minimises economic disruptions since many people are at home and businesses are shut down. This is how it works in the telecommunications industry.

Pastor Chris teachings are based on verifiable facts and science

Anyone who wants to respond must respond from the point of facts and science

Does this verifiable facts and science he provided include that one that he said 5G was responsible for COVID?

I worked with these technologies (4G, 5G) and Pastor Chris' analysis how 5G was causing COVID was laughable. I simply wrote on the BLW YouTube Channel that the Pastor should stick to his theology. I cited data correlations of cities with highest densities of 5G rollouts in the world without any significant COVID breakout (then, Shangai and Tokyo, among others). So, what verifiable scientific evidence was the Pastor referring to? Most of the sources he cited in his videos were materials of conspiracy theorists - the craziest sort of people anyone can deal with when it comes to their view of life.

Noted he claims to be a Southern Christian. Possibly Igbo. Most Igbo of the professional and educated class in my own social circle...doctors, government workers, formal sector employees...supported for Buhari in 2015. I quarrelled with a lot of them. Their biggest reason was that he would fight corruption.

Even a perfunctory browse of history should have dissuaded anyone from that mistake. But this is Nigeria. Nigeria. Nigerians! grin

@Alaro, thanks for the response. I wasn't expecting it. I maintain that long term look backs facilitated by the internet are a valuable learning tool.

Government is a very important factor in individual outcomes. Since you were already working around 2011, I'm sure you've noticed like me, that many people in the middle class today graduated from University around 2003 to 2007 whereas those who got their degrees around 2015 are not making as much progress

Macro is very important. Again thanks 😊

Good Luck to Nigeria.

Thank you for your kind response.

You see, I was in primary school when Buhari was the Head of State. So, I saw a drastic restoration of order and discipline in our society with my own eyes. Even as a child, I could tell.

The first republic (Shehu Shagari's government) was becoming very corrupt. I remember then, my aunt (she was a young single lady then) was telling us she couldn't get state employment as a primary school teacher because the officer in charge was demanding sex. Also, bribery and corruption were the order of the day. Then came Buhari, all that nonsense stopped immediately!

The government was setting up sting operations and would insert marked notes to give to victims who were being asked for bribes. So, the whole nation changed drastically. He was clamping down on corrupt officials and throwing them in jail. Our cities and towns were clean and there was orderliness (WAI - War Against Indiscipline, monthly environmental sanitation, queuing up in the banks and at the bus stop, not throwing down refuses anyhow, etc.). Nigeria was making sense.

I know people say it was Tunde Idiagbon (the Vice President) who was the one doing all that, which is true. But he wouldn't have a chance if his boss didn't allow him. So, we were quite hopeful in 2015 that the combination of Buhari's no-corruption mien and military background and the elitist experience of the Vice - Professor Yemi Osibanjo would be a super combo.

In essence, people who drummed support for Buhari and voted for him in 2015 had some good patriotic reasons. Not everybody is a fool and unable to do a search on the Internet, etc. As you said, many elites - highly educated citizens - voted across their tribal/religious divide simply because they had a reason to do so hoping for a better nation for everyone. Some of us did not need to depend on the Internet, we saw with our eyes the change Buhari brought when he came in at first.

Who told you I am in Nigeria?

Unlike you, my parents warned me sternly that Buhari was up to no good. In fact, when he was declared the winner, I was with my dad watching the TV. There and then, he said, "we have to re-plan our lives because Buhari will wreck this country's economy. He did it in 1984, he would do it again".

Buhari had antecedents dating to 1984, but intellectwats like you who enjoyed economic growth under OBJ & GEJ said he was the best thing since sliced bread because he would phight kwarraption!

You lots who voted for Buhari in 2015 should be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves after fleeing the country. Let me see any of you miscreants chant racism or accuse the West of empowering feminism or gay rights.

Someone who wasn't told or taught or read history. It is so obvious. How did Buhari phight kwarraption in 1984? It was his right hand Tunde who initiated most of those policies, but intellectwats believed Buhari was an anti-kwarraption crusader. Someone who never engaged in ANY intellectual conversation or discourse after leaving PTDF in the late '90s. Someone who was begged for THREE DAYS by international powers to call his irate and blood-tasting supporters to order after they rioted because he lost in 2011. Someone who declared that "dogs and baboons will be soaked in blood".

Buharists are largely shameless people. Expecting them to have a modicum of shame is akin to pigs flying!

It is clear you have a personal problem. I am not a Buharist. Go and fix your problem. Peace out!

So how do you feel today? 🤔 The optimistic expectations of 2015 were very interesting.

Good Luck to Nigeria

Really, I was very disappointed - terribly disappointed!

I had high hopes that Buhari would come with a no-nonsense attitude to deal squarely with the corruption in the country and bring some sense of progress to our nation. I did not vote for Buhari's 2nd term. He ruined Nigeria right from the first term because he was clueless. No Nigerian President had performed so woefully as Buhari at the end of his 8 years of disaster!

My sentiment is this: citizens are to use the power of their votes to kick out a poor-performing government. Now, the definition of "poor performance" for some people can be skewed by tribal, religious, or political coloration. That is left for individuals to settle in their own consciences. I am a Christian from the South and voted for a Muslim from the North against a Christian Southern President in 2015. It was based on my personal judgement that we could have a better country than what Jonathan was giving us, even though I was rooting for, voted for, and had high hopes for Goodluck Jonathan in the 2011 election. I was right to be optimistic in both elections and those were my personal decisions born out of my value systems and expectations. I have no regrets!

That was how somebody resigned from his 2million naira Nigeria pay Job and left to Canada and he still regrets it till today.

What was the regret? Not everybody will fit into the kind of lifestyle that is abroad. Here, we look at what works generally for most people. Ask your friend if he gets the 2 million Naira job again, would he return to Nigeria? Unless such person's case is an unfortunate one, which is not common, most people's moving to abroad stories are very positive. Many people leave jobs that pay far more than N2m to move to abroad for a more peaceful, organised and some sense of higher standards that is affordable in such society but exclusively for the top rich in Nigeria.

Ok. I find it a little funny and annoying when I hear people say they earn over 400k as monthly salary and still see Japa as an option to earn more. My dear, first things first, 400k is enough to live a comfortable life here in Nigeria. I earn below 400k but I've been to two European countries on vacation. Most Nigerians that earned above 400k here in Nigeria and left their jobs for the Japa syndrome are regretting it over there, they wish they could turn back the hands of time. If you travel out on vacation to see them, what they do and how they live, you'd appreciate God for giving you a good job here in Nigeria. Forget what people abroad post or show on social media, it's a hoax. Most people that will come on your thread to advise you to Japa don't even earn up to 60k monthly.

I beg to disagree. If you have skills, leaving a 400k job in Nigeria to get even a minimum wage job that will give you legal residence in 1st world nation is always a wise decision and far better than earning even 1.5m in today's Naija economy. I earned more than 700k working in a multinational before I left Nigeria in 2019. It was the best decision I made for myself and my family. Please do the same if you have the opportunity. Your fiancee is a visionary and wise. Try and listen to her.

Then, she stopped talking to me for about 2 months. Me too I felt very bad at first, but after some weeks I picked up as a man and refused to call. She came back oh...but I had wised up and dumped her proud head. That was it! No regrets at all.

I already got health insurance in Germany. My company did that on my behalf.. Do I still need another Travel Health Insurance and how many months?[/quote]

Check if the Health Insurance your company got for you includes Travel Insurance coverage. You can also contact them to be sure. For all I know, your Health Insurance will not be activated until you land in Germany. In your case, the Travel Insurance is a requirement for the purpose of your travel only. You can get up to 6 months. But since you have a health insurance already, you should be fine with 3 months insurance.

For most people, it covers them in the course of travelling to and initial stay in Germany until they obtain a proper Health Insurance if they are staying more than 6 months in the country.

Your analysis makes a lot of sense and plausible. What humans are capable of doing with knowledge and science is scary shocked

And somehow there's a lot of tales around Bill Gates interests in population reduction.

ajl:
You are all being fooled. This company is funded by Bill Gate and their plan is to collect all DNA data of Africans starting with Nigeria, the most corrupt and easiest target because of greed. I am sure, not all countries in Africa will allow a western financed company to be collecting DNA data of its population. Imagine a Chinese funded company to be collecting DNA data of Americans or Europeans. This company 54Gene is fronting for its American owners, so don't be fooled by the Nigerians in lab coats. The real headquarters is in USA (Washington or do). The founder is US trained and worked in the pharmaceutical industry. So, they pushed him down here to come and do the dirty work for them. Which is to obtain all genetic data of Africans. Do you know what that means. The blueprint of your DNA is your life secrets. You wonder why Covid-19 hasn't kill off a lot of Africans. Its because of our genetic diversity. Once these evil westerners have this DNA data, they can decide if they wish to design killer virus to wipe us out if they want. He who pays the piper dictate the tune, this company is only collecting the data for its US financiers. Meaning you are handing your life secrets to people who can do whatever they like with it. Now, am not saying good can't come out of this. But why would a white man be pumping millions of dollars to fund a Nigerian company. I feel sorry for our people because those who are supposed to protect you are the one paying a visit to this company. Who should own the DNA data of Nigerians collected by this company? The DNA data of a country population is a national security issue. If they want to kill us all off with a bioweapon, it has just become easier. Check these links and most especially the second one.

https://qz.com/africa/1837527/54gene-raises-15m-from-bill-melinda-gates-backed-fund/

https://www.theguardian.com/science/2004/oct/28/thisweekssciencequestions.weaponstechnology

Remember that Bill Gate is interested in population control and Africans are number one on their list. Our peoples greed is not allowing them see what's on the horizon.

Thanks so much for this explanation and insight.

knogbu:
The issuance of your visa is largely determined by the Foreigners office (Immigration) of the city in Germany where your spouse lives. The embassy only issues visa when the immigration office directs them to do so. Therefore, the most important thing is to find out if the Immigration has asked your spouse here to submit documents, and also if they have finished processing that here. I will recommend all who is waiting to ask their spouse here to do a follow-up from this side.
From observations here, there has been a slow response in getting appointment for 'Residence Permit Extension'. I know persons who applied since and their permit has already expired and yet no date for another appointment. Have in mid that since covid19 started, they now ask you to post your documents and only invite you for bio-metrics in rare cases. These same office handling internal visa extension for foreigners here are also responsible for approving 'long term visas'. The waiting period is also long if your coming to the state of NRW which has high population. you can only imagine how many persons requiring attention from this office daily. Turkish, Syrians, Chinese, Ghanaians, Kenyans, Ethiopians, etc all visits this office regularly. Cities like Essen, Bonn, Dusseldorf, etc have high populations and this affects the process.

Berlin is better because they have 3 offices and can handle crowd effectively. As we wait, we pray no to wait longer than necessary, Covid19 really has greatly impacted on this visa issuance.

Please, find out if your spouse has been contacted in Germany

Hello, The year of birth on my WAEC certificate is different from the year of birth on my passport. same date, same month but different year. Do you think this is something that could be a problem during my interview? Because the WAEC certificate is part of the checklist for family reunion visa. And if so is there anything I can do to resolve this? Please help!!!! Thanks in advance!

Since this information is on such important official document, you can't leave anything to chance. I will advise:
- Commence a process to fix this with WAEC
- Go swear an affidavit in a Nigerian court deposing that the year on the WAEC is a wrong one and that you have already commenced a process for correcting it. So, while you wait for a corrected version, you are covered with the affidavit.

Someone writes that it is part of the process and they call it "curing ballot". Some few ballot papers aren't legible enough for the machine to read them. So, it's getting re-done by the workers. It is said that Donald Trump Team has raised this as an evidence of rigging but it was thrown out.

You’d seem to have a point, except that in Nigeria those raised by single parents somehow consistently turn out more successful. I always wonder why that is.

True that some turn out well in life, but not "consistently". I'll say Nigeria enjoys communal living. Even if there's a child being raised by a single parent, the extended family usually cover-up the lapses as we believe that children may be born by two people, but that it takes a community to raise him.

If you take time to ask or research, the fact is that most delinquent kids roaming the streets are either from homes of single parents or a polygamous homes.
