Good day folks,

I have a quick question. Can anyone direct me to a thread regarding the Dropbox Renewal Program? I already have extensive knowledge from the US Embassy website about this program.

However, I meet all the requirements but seem to have difficulty discovering where to submit my I-20 and TRANSCRIPT during the renewal process.

I currently plan to return to Nigeria to get a new F1 visa. Can anyone provide information about this please?

Regards,
Halim.

Quick question house, and it might be a dumb one but anyway, the financial documents you take to your interview, do they have to be originals? Or is it okay to have scanned copies? I only ask this because my interview is tomorrow and I don't have the originals with me yet.

Help

imperiouxx: @Amilimos,

Seems you are going back for undergraduate in US? Your overstay in Canada has no connection with US and if ask during question why you don't finish in Canada, then you tell you story but you don't say you've overstayed. If you got no bad record there, just start afresh and don't worry about your past. You are not doomed my brother. One who doesn't try, doesn't know.

Really appreciate your positive and optimistic words imperiouxx. I definitely won't mention I overstayed nor would I mention the fact that I had a balance owing which prevented me from obtaining my transcripts for the two years that I completed in Elec.Engr

My problem is if the question arises,"What have you been doing since then?" I truly have no response to that as of yet. And I also have no proof since I don't have my transcriptssad. I'm still brainstorming of a way to smartly tell them.

Any ideas guys?

cryAbeg I hail and greet everyone. Great forum

Abeg house,I need advice and suggestions for my complicated situation. I will explain as briefly and as accurate as I can. Please bear with me

I have a huge gap for the past 4 years of my life. It will be hard to believe but for the past 4 years I haven't done anything to better my life and the sad part is that I was in Canadasad

Graduated in 04, got admitted to a 4year Uni in Elec. Engr. in Canada in '06, completed 2 years and then that's when everything came crumbling down. My mother(my only support) lost all she had so I couldn't afford to continue schooling at the time and as a result, I lost my study permit and work permit in '09.

I couldn't legally do anything since I had no permits for three years.I then made the biggest mistake of my life by overstaying instead of coming back home and trying to find a way to stay via lawyers, friends and relatives. I eventually returned home only a month ago when after an aunt came out of the blue(God bless her) and vounteered to cover my fees if I wished to study in the US or china if they were affordable.

I have my admission now to North American College(4yearUni) in Computer Science in Houston where my brother, who is a citizen, resides. I've done everything that needs to be done while I wait for my SEVIS fee to reflect and then I can apply for an emergency interview because my interview is too far off in Jan2013.

Abeg house including the veterans @imperiouxx n co, AM I DOOMED? What can I possibly say to convince them after such a resume for the 8 past years

Please help!

I hail everyone ooh. I'm new here but I've read several pages already. Are there any potential undergraduate candidates around? I'm in quite the situation at the moment and need suggestions and ideas

P.s Wonderful Forum that must have aided so many that have come and gone. Truly pleasing to see such unity in helping each other out
