Education / Medical Council Assessment Exam by amliyu: 3:27pm On May 26, 2017
Hello, Please would anyone have idea of when the next medical council assessment exam is and where? Just needed to know for planning purposes - last one was in Lagos and the one before then was in Zaria. Is there a sequence of rotation as to where is next? Nothing on the MDCN website and couldn't get my calls answered. Thanks

Thanks Sienna,
The van is already in Nigeria.
It appears there are a lot of items needed. Is it really worth it? It is for sale after my stuff are delivered.

Education / Re: Gcse And Nigerian Universities by amliyu: 10:46pm On Sep 22, 2010
Thanks Kadata,

You're right I'm not in Nigeria presently but planning to return next year after many years away. Our eldest is due to finish secondary school   and the plan is 4 university in Nigeria. The problem is, we went through the WAEC, NECO and JAMB  curricula and realised that it will be difficult for her because outside the sciences, the other subjects revolve around Nigeria and Africa.

If GCSE were acceptable, it's probably easier for her to prepare for it.
Education / Gcse And Nigerian Universities by amliyu: 11:01pm On Sep 21, 2010
Hello all,

We will appreciate some help regarding;

- Information if GCSE is acceptable to Nigerian universities and what are the Entry requirements?
- What do people think about registering and coming back to Nigeria to sit for GCE/NECO/JAMB? or what are the options for our daughter returning to do her University in Nigeria?
- Are there any websites/ distance learning courses teaching exam prep based on Nigerian curriculum?

Thanks.

Autos / Conversion Of Right Hand Drive To Left Hand Drive--Is It Worth It? by amliyu: 11:34am On Sep 03, 2010
Hello people,
I just took delivery of a neat Mercedes Benz sprinter van used as a container to transport stuff from the UK - it is a Right Hand Drive. Few questions pls;

(1) Is it worth converting it to left hand before disposing it off?

(2) Any idea about what is involved in this conversion and where to get the parts required?

Thanks for your help.

Properties / Re: Power Generators And Air Conditioners- Ideas Pls by amliyu: 10:15am On Jul 10, 2009
Thanks Ajileko,
Just realised I didn't give an idea of the consumption required. It is an 8-10 bedroom house and the plan is to install a generator that can serve for average 8 -10 Air conditioners, 2 large American style fridges and a deep freezer, Electric cooker +/- washing machine. To these we add the usual TV, fans, computer, water pump,microwave etc. Of course not everything will be in use at the same time but just an idea of what capacity (?voltage) is required to simultaneously operate most of these.
Any advice on cheaper alternative or a way bringing down the cost will be appreciated.
The air conditioners I have in mind are the wall units that have fan and ?hose outside the rooms.
I'm on my way home from a training course in the UK and need to get these organised before leaving. Any advice on how to get these AC's---couldn't find any (may be their weather).

Properties / Power Generators And Air Conditioners- Ideas Pls by amliyu: 6:30pm On Jul 09, 2009
Hello my fellow contributors,
I have an oppurtunity to look for and import a generator for home use but has no idea about which type is appropriate in terms of type, efficiency, noise and ease of maintenance in addition to voltage required. I will very much appreciate any help in this regard. Also what do people think about buying AC's? Is it better/cheaper to buy at home or is it worth looking outside as well?
Any suggestion on where to look for these items pls?
Thanks again.

Properties / Re: F.c.t( Abuja). Availability Of Direct Government Allocation by amliyu: 5:41pm On Jun 10, 2009
Hello there,
The entries you made are quite interesting and makes land acquisition in abuja quite easy. I'm inteested but want to know where your responsibility end---just cashing your draft and submitting the application form or is there anything else you can do?I presume both fees are non refundable. what is your success rate or on other words how many of your clients were successful in getting lands allocated to them?
